Very disappointed. I've ordered multiple times from this location, and only recently have gotten poor quality. This morning I was dissatisfied enough to call in and ask who made the sandwich, and let them know it was completely a mess. The sandwich wasn't wrapped properly, had part of it showing, right out of bag. The sauce was in the middle of my sandwich, not on the bread. The amount of shredded cheese on it could have fed an army. I found a piece of a different random cheese in the middle, not asked for. When I called and talked to Claudia, I believe his name was, the person who made it, he said that he was looking at my order on the screen and "none of that was specified in the instructions" ‍ Carmel Mountain and Felicita are great! not sure why this one is struggling. read more

Never did I think I'd be writing a review for Subway, but here we are lol. I normally don't like Subway (sorry!!) but was starving and was convinced by my friend to get it. So we walk in, and I immediately felt better about our decision. This Subway was super clean, & the woman making the sandwiches was very kind & prompt with taking our orders. All of the vegetables looked so fresh, I honestly couldn't believe it! Lol I got the veggie sandwich and it was piled high with fresh veggies; our sandwich maker wasn't skimpy!! I just want to say this: when you're training someone to make sandwiches, you're essentially teaching someone to Build a sandwich. That being said, a skill for stacking and balancing items (in this case food) should be a skill had by these employees. The girl that put my chicken pesto sandwich just carelessly dumped the chicken into the center of the bread and then continued one item after the next, all falling off the sandwich. It was not only frustrating to watch, the sandwich doesn't taste good because I take a bite and I get soggy bread with tomato, no chicken or cheese. My point here is that almost any Subway I go to anywhere is consistently good with good service. I'm very unhappy with my visit today. read more

If you have changed your hours, you need to update your website and your signage. It states you are open until 8PM on Monday. Last night at 7:15 your location was closed and the staff were cleaning. There were at least two staff members still inside the store, so it wasn't like you didn't have the staff to serve customers. Super disappointing. read more

I don't submit many yelp reviews, but felt compelled to do so after my experience. So I placed a mobile order yesterday and arrived at 6:45 pm to collect my order. When I arrived the lights of the store were off and the "open" sign was off. Pure darkness. Another passerby was confused as well, as it was 6:45 pm and the sign said they were open until 7 pm. Regardless, my app order was accepted and payment was made. I wasn't sure what to do. Finally, I attempted to open the door and it was unlocked. I walked in and a young man said that his boss told him to close early. He said he received my mobile order and was taking all of the components of my order out of storage in order to make it. The employee was apologetic, so I didn't put up a fuss and waited in the Subway restaurant, with no lights on for my order. I got home thinking not much of the experience until I took my first bite of the ham and cheese "melt" that I ordered. I don't know about anyone else, but I've always understood a "melt" to be a sandwich that is grilled or at least heated with an abundance of cheese. My sandwich had literally no cheese at all!! I order from this location through Uber Eats maybe once a month. I have never had bad service at this location. I once raised a concern that I tasted something off, and immediately got a response from the franchise owner. Fantastic customer service once again. So tonight, it's my birthday and I really wanted delivery. Subway at Del Lago in Escondido, CA was my first pick. So easy to order with Uber eats and always quality sandwiches. Tonight I received 2 calls from this location, and both were to ensure my satisfaction was guaranteed. Uber Eats delivered my order shortly after. I gotta say, Sandwich Artist Michael is a great asset to your company. He clearly stated the issue and offered substitutes, and made things right as we went. He deserves a raise! Subway is Subway so the food quality is pretty much the same anywhere. The difference here is how awful the employees are. I needed to order 2 sandwiches but I wanted to have them made one after the other because of the complexity. The woman wouldn't allow it. I either had to have both made together or only get 1. This makes no sense and there weren't even other customers. What sense does this make? I just didn't want the wrong things put on one of the sandwiches. I normally refuse to review chain type places but I occasionally make exceptions when I experience superior service and a pretty good made sandwich. An employee, I forget his name, I think its Al? Anyways, I decided to be adventurous and said I want a turkey sandwich... but he was kind enough to suggest toppings that would amplify my mediocre order. He suggested turkey avocado and bacon. WOW was I glad I took his suggestion. add a little provolone and toast it for a great flavor. I usually think people who make sandwiches were just preparing my food but this dude made it look like an art form. WOWZA. I would definitely recommend the turkey avocado bacon sandwich made by AL. I also was curious to try their new soups and he was kind enough to give me a small sample. I would recommend the broccoli cheddar. The only downside I would say is that once you enter the place, you leave smelling like the bread or as I like to call it... the "Subway" smell. I could definitely tell if you've been to one if you walked past me. I'm glad they came up with the $5 foot longs. Too bad the T.A.B. sandwich isn't apart of that menu! read more

Got 2 $5 foot longs, 1 had 2 types (1/2 on each), all 3 types were on $5 deal. (SEE IMAGE LINK AT BOTTOM) Paid $15. Was never told we would be charged the same price as 3 sandwiches just because we 1/2 dif kinds. We stayed till line was gone and approached the assistant manager Jim, and asked if we may return the sandwich if we can't get the deal with a split sandwich (hadn't touched it). He quickly said he could not do refunds, and I went on to explain I didn't intend to pay $15 for 2 $5 foot longs. He refused to give me refund / exchange / giftcard saying he would get fired and he has to pay rent for his family... all while the co-worker is nodding in agreement while occasionally giggling. The entire time we (me and a friend) were there, I never once raised my voice and my final words were thanking them for trying to help us out, agreeing it's not their fault... just to find out later of course he can refund the sandwich, it hasn't been touched and stayed in the store the entire time... which he hints later when I called: *************************************** I called after I left (about 10 minutes after leaving) and asked if I could pay the additional .40 cents for another foot long, and he said "yes", so I asked why that wasnt brought to my attention as an option, and he replied "u shouldn't have gotten in my face, I would have helped u out". I lold and hung up *************************************** The assistant manager was most unprofessional and unwilling to help me based on my appearance and/or attitude (which was great in my opinion) instead of my situation. I have worked in 3 types of customer service / retail jobs, and have a great understanding / basic expectation of any retail cs business, and this is horrible. BBB anyone? I will never contribute to / choose subway for any reason based on their strict employee restrictions that will get them fired if they refund a sandwich. Was a bit hungry and I really like Subway. The woman who was working the closing shift today (8/1/2020) was super kind and accommodating! When it comes to customer service, the thing that'll make or break a food establishment is always how kindly I was treated. It isn't that hard to be nice, but I really appreciate when it does happen. Came for a sandwich today and knew what to order. Had Amelia making my sandwich and she was noticeably nervous when she started with my sandwich. Thought it was a new job or something but then overheard what I though to be the manager named Kevin barking orders at the two girl and telling them they needed to "step it up" in front of the customers. Throughout the whole process Kevin was telling the girls things they were "doing wrong" and how they were not paying attention, "just look, open your eyes" were some of the things said. My sandwich came out perfect that Taylor made and Kevin needs to take a step back and show some respect to his employees and maybe they will perform better. I went here for the first time in May 13, 2015 and ordered a flatizza. It sort of tasted like a pizza, the sauce was nice, the cheese was okay, but the crust did something totally unexpected. It almost pulled two of my teeth out! The crust was really tough, it was a little small, and even when I tried dipping the flatizza in water,( EWWWW ) it was still REALLY HARD. This sandwich shop offers generous portions as well as a massive dill pickle on the side. You feel the good cheer in the air, everyone's busy but happy. I know... it is Subway and it is a chain, but man was my service EXCELLENT! Seriously, it was quick, but all three people behind the counter were so friendly. Really friendly and honestly, it seemed very genuine. The lady who made my sandwich was quick and kept calling me 'Miss' (unsure how I feel about that... but I guess it is better than Ma'am). The guy who rung up my order was lovely, asked me how my day was and we got to chatting while we waited for my card to be authorized. I eat Subway everyday of the week. There are 4 different locations I go to between my work and home and this location in Escondido by far has the best sandwiches (I also eat the same sandwich everyday). Their bread is always so fresh, it never burns once toasted, the veggies are always etxra delicious and Jim and Reese who both seem to serve me are very pleasant, make a neat sandwich and always greet the customers once in the door. When they are extremely busy they have a good system going, the sandwiches get made quickly and they are calm and patient with the customers when people are in a rush. If you are ever close by, it's worth stopping in this subway for their delicious sandwiches!!! read more

Since my last couple of reviews their service has become much more friendly they say hello welcome when I walk in. They didn't used to do that when I first started going a couple years ago that's a big Improvement. I was look forward to talking to the people when I order my food. The latest complaint I have is that they have often closed early and at the last minute without any notice especially during holidays and weekends. One night I noticed one of the workers starting to close up things around 6:30 in the evening and I thought they close at 8 that night. I was get confused about their hours for this reason even when I look at the hours posted on the door. I haven't been going too often anymore for this reason so I'm not sure if they've improved or not with this issue. I hope they have I want to continue going I like this place. read more

I went here for lunch and ordered a foot long roasted chicken breast with southwest sauce. Three hours later I vomited it up. I know it was acute food poisoning because I didn't eat anything else this day. The employees seemed to be lazily taking their time behind the counter. I will not go here again. He apologized and I said it was okay. He surprised me by giving me free cookies even though I was fine with the ranch.
