Even after all these years, this Denny's Location is still on point. Service is excellent, the place is clean and their food is delicious. I dropped in today and had a to go order since my boy didn't want to dine in. It was fast and convenient. I'll be back abak. When I don't feel like putting in the effort to whip up some pancakes.

Their buttermilk pancakes are so good! Especially with the whipped butter. Their egg whites are also delicious. This is the everyday value slam with 2 buttermilk pancakes, egg whites, and bacon.

Denny's is that nostalgic, old school diner that reminds you of your childhood. They are open 24/7 which is a major plus because everything closes so early in this area. We were immediately seated upon arrival but we had to wait a little for our server to come by and introduce himself. He was friendly and professional. I assume he was juggling several tables. The decor is your classic diner with booths and tables. The menu is extensive so there's something for everyone. The food came out within a reasonable time and was hot and tasty. The portions are decent compared to other restaurants. I loved my pumpkin pecan pancakes and Minute Maid smoothie and may come back for more soon ;) We left happy and full. Plenty of parking in the lot and some on the streets.

stop by classic Diner, Denny's, for classic hearty eats, like their donut holes, so crispy and moist, all their eats are stellar and filling, lots of seating, open 24/7. slow with soft drink refills.

Arrived yesterday and was seated promptly at a large booth which we all appreciated. The server arrived promptly and took our order. Food came out relatively fast (seems to be normal at Denny's). I do wish my children's orange juice would have been filled to the top since the orange juice doesnt come with free refills and we did have to ask for an to go box twice, but overall decent/average service, nothing to write home about. Keep in mind you get a 15% discount as an AARP member!

Food 4/5: The food was pretty good, the fries are not super crunchy but still tasty, the mozerella sticks were super good and the onion rings were decent. The shakes were both really tasty Service 5/5: The lady who came to our table was super kind, she got us all the sauce we wanted and continuously checked up on us to make sure it was good Ambiance 5/5: I love Dennys, they always have consistent food and service, it was perfect for studying late night, good for breakfast, lunch, really any meal here is good

My son and I frequent Denny's about twice a month. We went recently when there slam breakfasts were buy one get one for a dollar which I think is an amazing deal. The service is always spot on and the ambience is just like really any other Dennys that you would walk into. One thing that I really like is that their mimosas are not served in a traditional champagne glass. It's served in a larger glass, which makes it even more bang for your buck.

I'm sure people are skeptical when I make the bold claim that Denny's is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I've been eating at Denny's here in San Diego throughout my formative years and into my adult life. Eating at Denny's is nostalgic for me because there have been many occasions from being a kid, a teenager, a young adult, middle age, and soon to be Denny's Senior Citizen discount age that I've dined at this 24/7 institution. Unbelievably, I've never reviewed my favorite Denny's spot, so today will be that day. This Denny's is located in Rancho Bernardo specifically on Bernardo Center Drive close to a Firestone, Rubio's, and just steps away across the street from a 7-11 and Jack in the Box. What I really enjoy about this Denny's is the community it resides in because there are a lot of retired military, which will be evident during Veterans Day and you'll see how many take advantage of the free Denny's breakfast. The restaurant has plenty of parking in their private lot and street parking. There's a duck pond closeby where you can walk off the calories you consumed. The decor is classic diner with old pics hung on the walls; booths, tables and chairs, and bar seating; there's a tv that you could catch news, and arcade games where you try to grab prizes. What I really enjoy about this Denny's is the friendly and customer service oriented employees, who genuinely appear to enjoy their jobs. I was prepared to give a high rating, but today I was irritated by the Latino lady server who seemed concerned about me taking pictures of the menu. When I explained that I write reviews, she suddenly didn't seem too concerned. The main reason why I'm a fan of Denny's is its value for your money when it comes to their food. I especially enjoy eating breakfast at all Denny's. Today, I stopped by because I had to drop off my car for service at a local auto shop and this restaurant is just a short walk from the auto shop. I highly recommend that you download the Denny's app because you'll earn rewards and discounts, which I was taking advantage of today. I ordered one of their new breakfast items, which was their Salted Caramel Banana Pancake Slam. For an affordable $14.59 plus the 20% coupon from the app, I got to enjoy a heaping amount of food. This breakfast slam comes with two buttermilk pancakes topped with vanilla cream, fresh banana slices, and salted caramel; it's served with eggs made your way, crispy hash browns, plus your choice of bacon of sausage. The salted caramel banana pancakes were like a dessert, it was rich, and extravagantly delicious especially with the syrup. I highly recommend that you ask for scrambled eggs with cheese, which I learned from my daughter who learned from her boyfriend. I intend to order my eggs that way from now on. The hash browns were cooked crispy, golden brown and they eat really well with everything. The sausages were cooked exactly how I like them and were savory delicious. What I like to do to add a little kick, I put Cholula hot sauce and ketchup over the hash browns and eggs, and place this same concoction on the side to dip the sausages. I honestly have never been disappointed with any of their breakfast dishes. I so can't wait to hit that 55 and over Senior Citizen Denny's Discount age because I'll finally be able to get more value for my hard earned money. The ratings for Denny's aren't too high, so next time you see someone taking pictures, just let them because they could be giving you a great review just like this one.

I'm surprised they don't charge for tap water

First of all they seriously need to update their +55 menu. No fruit, no salads just breakfasts, a salmon dinner for $12.99 and chicken fried steak? It was lunch time... The person I was meeting was also +55 and we weren't planning on staying long We just were going to do a meet and greet. He said he wasn't really hungry and was just going to get a grilled cheese sandwich but couldn't find it anywhere on the menu. The place is very big and maybe there were 4 or 5 other customers it was pretty empty. After a very long wait the waitress finally came back to take our order. We asked if they a had the kids menu so we were back to waiting again... When she finally came back we asked if they had grilled cheese, she said yes. I ended up getting a kids meal since there was nothing small on the regular menu. I got 2 chicken tenders that were pretty much the size of taquitos. I got a glass of water and he got iced tea and my chicken tenders came with a few fries. I asked for the fries well done. When we finally got our food I was shocked how undercooked the fries were and how tiny the grilled cheese sandwich was. It was no more than a little more then a half piece of bread with maybe two slices of cheese. I could barely see it. The waitress never came back so again I had to go up to the front and ask for the bill and a to-go container. She was too busy chatting to the other customers. I was taking the fries home with me I'm throwing them in my air fryer since they were so undercooked When we finally got the bill I was shocked $27??? It also said it was a combo of a grilled cheese and soup. I took the bill up to the front and told them that they made a mistake. We only got a grilled cheese sandwich that didn't come with any sides and we didn't order any soup. She told us it doesn't matter it's still the same price. Really then why didn't you tell us that when we ordered the grilled cheese sandwich??? Are you ready? NINE DOLLARS???! $9 Are you kidding for a pathetic tiny little grilled cheese sandwich that came with nothing. Well I will no longer be going to this Denny's anymore. I know where I can get a filet mignon stuffed with crab with mashed potatoes and a vegetable for $28. SMH...

Surprisingly Great! I've been to so many Dennys and I've never really been a fan I'd prefer IHOP honestly But my daughter really wanted to go so we tried this location and was pleasantly surprised! I love that they have an outdoor seating area nicely shaded with lights above We wanted to be outside but it was so hot so the shaded area was perfect I love love love that they offer Mimosas here! Never have I ever been to a Dennys that serves mimosas ($7) yes I was very happy to see this I had the strawberry cream French toast which was so delicious Not too sweet, creamy or cakey but perfectly cooked My daughter loved her grand slam and my mom enjoyed her French toast Our server was so attentive ! He checked on us several times We were nervous because we were the only ones seated outside we thought he would forget about us But not at all! The manager greeted us at the end and asked how everything was and an added bonus This location takes EBT ! Although there isn't a sign that displays this- they do! Parking was easy and we were in and out within the hour We will definitely be returning !

The staff was very warm and welcoming, though throughout the evening it definitely felt like they may have been short staffed and stretched a bit thin. Since we were headed to a movie after dinner, we decided to keep things light and share appetizers plus dessert. We tried the Fried Shishito Peppers, Veggie Potstickers, Grilled Broccolini, Rosemary Garlic Fries, Whipped Burrata, Garlic Noodles, Salmon Poke Tacos, and Lamb Chops. Overall, the food was decent but nothing especially memorable. The lamb chops were cooked nicely but could have used more seasoning, and the poke tacos were tasty but tiny -- literally about the size of my pinky for each taco. We were disappointed they had sold out of both the Crème Brûlée Bread Pudding and the Budino, which were the desserts we originally wanted to try. Thankfully, the Butter Toffee Cake completely saved dessert for us -- absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. Overall, a cute spot with good vibes for a girls night, but the food itself didn't quite live up to the hype for us.

I had asked for the bacon/meat on the side for the pizza and when we asked to get the best salad, he already knew to put the bacon bits on the side for the salad too. He even snagged us more roasted garlic when our group needed a clove for each bite. He was so great! We'll be back for mor! Ask for Gavin, he's one of the best!

Our first visit in January we ordered the Lamb Chops which were amazing and cooked medium rare as is proper for Lamb Chops. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. Not over cooked. Skin was crispy. For appetizers, the lobster bisque was sultry and the grilled shrimp prawns can with two huge prawns with roasted vegetables. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. It is easy for restaurants to make thick cut pork chop dry. Not at Avant! We also ordered the Beef Wellington (a special that was not on the menu). We didn't realize the Beef Wellington was sized for two people, hence the huge up charge. Beef Wellington was cooked medium rare which how its supposed to be prepared! The crust was more like a pipe crust than puff pastry. The pate is mushroom with swiss chard. I need to address another Yelp User's review of this restaurant complaining about the Beef Wellington: 1) If you dont like your beef medium rare, DO NOT order the Beef Wellington. Ask Chef Gordon Ramsey! Medium is considered over cooked in a Beef Wellington. The meat gets dry and tough. 2) The Beef Wellington is a special (typically on the weekend) with limited quantities and is not on the menu all the time. I heard the restaurant manager let other tables know the limited quantities and he needed to know ASAP if a diner was considering the Beef Wellington. 3) Please also note that Beef Wellington takes to 30 to 40 minutes because there is a 15 to 20 minute rest time. So be sure to order appetizers also to tie you over! The service here is fantastic! Blaine was great! The atmosphere is nice in dark woods. Just the right lighting. Carvers is a true San Diego gem.

We hadn't been to Carver's in probably 15-20 years and decided to give it a try for Easter lunch. (No special menu). I thought prices were high for what you get. The steak only came with a side of broccoli that looked no different from what I microwave in a bag at home. (You can choose one side from a variety of complimentary sides). Béarnaise sauce sauce cost extra. Bread for the table was complimentary. The food that we ordered was adequate, but not exciting. Service was OK and attentive enough, but not high-end or highly polished/highly trained as you might expect at a steakhouse. Decor is dark and atmospheric, but somewhat dated. Patrons were casual -- one guy was wearing a tank top, shorts and flip-flops, not what I would expect on Easter Sunday at a steak house. Come on people! Bathrooms could do with a refresh and kinda smelled. Ample free parking.

My experience yesterday evening was absolutely opposite. We were seated at a large round table in the corner at the front of the restaurant. We were 11 seated at this great round table. It was perfect because we could talk with anyone at the table, and see each other. Our server, Hunter was fantastic! Friendly and while waiting other tables she was able to cater to our needs just as well and as fast. She did have another person checking on us when Hunter was not at our table. I did not get her name. Tonight it was hopping with other gatherings taking place. There are TV's lined along the upper half of the wall with all kinds of sports happening being televised. The room is very open with great outdoor seating off to the side of the restaurant. Looked like comfortable seating too. A few of us ladies order appetizers to share. When the platters arrived they were placed on the large lazy Susan in the middle of the table. Appetizers shared: Sampler plate: Gyoza, Shrimp Tempura, Spring Rolls and Cream Cheese Wontons Meatballs Wings Margherita Flatbread Hummus Flatbread My dinner was: PSH Chicken Penne Pasta My drinks: Espresso Martini and Benoit Dearg "red Beer (Barley & Sword Brewery) Red Ale-Irish My Dessert: Beignets to share and Affogato Appetizers were great. Though I did not get to try the meatballs, I was able to enjoy bites of the sampler plate. With the wings I requested the mild sauces to be off to the side. Thank goodness! They were spicy and I do like spicy food. The windows were nice and crispy! Came with carrots and celery sticks. My Chicken Penne Pasta was delicious. I don't know if it was my imagination but there seem to be some sweetness to the sauce. Maybe wine added? My desserts! The beignets were fresh. The arrived with the look of almost a donut hole. They were piping hot. The bread was light, with a bit of dense texture. Very delicious. My affogato was amazing. If you love coffee this might be for you. I had my first affogato in Italy, this is the 2nd best. The hot espresso mixed into the vanilla ice cream, was heavenly. Both my drinks, Espresso Martini and red beer were both delicious! The martini was very creamy and with the right amount of sweetness. The red beer was mild and very smooth. I would love to return and can't wait to try some of the other beers available as well as the yummy dishes on the menu. Parking is busy in the this busy street mall. Shares lots with DMV, Walmart and other businesses.

Evelyn did a great job of letting me know about Wednesday Wing special. Had a draft beer and a smash burger with fries. Great value. Would come again with friends.
