Pulled pork nachos happy hour $13.50

Wow what a little gem here they have my favorite Happy Dad Grape and Fruit Punch here! Came in on a Monday and it's Happy Hour all day Gabriel was very helpful and knowledgeable good vibes in here. The place is clean and plenty of parking even though it next to the DMV. I got a grape Happy Dad for $5 and huge delicious nachos with pulled pork for $13.50 couldn't finish it had to take it home. The service was amazing gave me a roll of paper towels checked up on me and gave the best recommendation. I'll be back in for sure to try the fruit punch and hook him up with a white hat

We are not from the area, but found ourselves in Poway and stopped for delicious lunch. My husband ordered the burger. It was a simple burger w/ a side of fries and ranch. The burger was delicious, but plane. It did not come with lettuce, tomatoes, or onion, but the restaurant probably would've accommodated. Had we asked for it. I ordered the calamari Caesar salad. How unique indifferent to offer fried calamari on a Caesar salad! For Me Me, it was the best of both worlds and I thoroughly enjoyed it! They were not shiesty on the amount of calamari either! It was a very healthy and satisfying amount of calamari on a very delicious Caesar salad salad. Though we are not from the area, when we find ourselves in Poway, we will certainly patronize this restaurant again. Great ambience and superb customer service as well.

Reading the reviews prior to meeting up with my group for dinner had me a bit worried. Majority though seemed like customer service related. But a handful were about the food. My experience yesterday evening was absolutely opposite. We were seated at a large round table in the corner at the front of the restaurant. We were 11 seated at this great round table. It was perfect because we could talk with anyone at the table, and see each other. Our server, Hunter was fantastic! Friendly and while waiting other tables she was able to cater to our needs just as well and as fast. She did have another person checking on us when Hunter was not at our table. I did not get her name. Tonight it was hopping with other gatherings taking place. There are TV's lined along the upper half of the wall with all kinds of sports happening being televised. The room is very open with great outdoor seating off to the side of the restaurant. Looked like comfortable seating too. A few of us ladies order appetizers to share. When the platters arrived they were placed on the large lazy Susan in the middle of the table. Appetizers shared: Sampler plate: Gyoza, Shrimp Tempura, Spring Rolls and Cream Cheese Wontons Meatballs Wings Margherita Flatbread Hummus Flatbread My dinner was: PSH Chicken Penne Pasta My drinks: Espresso Martini and Benoit Dearg "red Beer (Barley & Sword Brewery) Red Ale-Irish My Dessert: Beignets to share and Affogato Appetizers were great. Though I did not get to try the meatballs, I was able to enjoy bites of the sampler plate. With the wings I requested the mild sauces to be off to the side. Thank goodness! They were spicy and I do like spicy food. The windows were nice and crispy! Came with carrots and celery sticks. My Chicken Penne Pasta was delicious. I don't know if it was my imagination but there seem to be some sweetness to the sauce. Maybe wine added? My desserts! The beignets were fresh. The arrived with the look of almost a donut hole. They were piping hot. The bread was light, with a bit of dense texture. Very delicious. My affogato was amazing. If you love coffee this might be for you. I had my first affogato in Italy, this is the 2nd best. The hot espresso mixed into the vanilla ice cream, was heavenly. Both my drinks, Espresso Martini and red beer were both delicious! The martini was very creamy and with the right amount of sweetness. The red beer was mild and very smooth. I would love to return and can't wait to try some of the other beers available as well as the yummy dishes on the menu. Parking is busy in the this busy street mall. Shares lots with DMV, Walmart and other businesses.

I recently visited one of Poway's newest restaurants and was most impressed! Poway Social House occupies what was formerly known as Players. In fact, the old signage was still up so it may be confusing for some. The window though was cheerfully painted with their new logo, so I knew I was in the right place. This establishment comes from the same folks behind the neighboring Taco Taco Poway which has been a North County institution for years. Upon entry I was warmly greeted by the staff and took a seat at the bar. I immediately noticed the impressive selection of beers on tap. The staff were all so friendly, helpful, and genuine. Working together as a team, they took care of me very nicely and I felt right at home. The menu here is a fantastic myriad of appetizers, light eats, pasta, pizza, and handhelds. Eating light, I ordered a "Chopped Wedge" and it was outstanding! Iceberg lettuce, maters, red onion, bacon, and funky Gorgonzola cheese. It was such a generous portion for the affordable price of only $10. It even comes with a tasty garlic knot braid. On my second visit I had the Meatballs appetizer. Loved the meatballs, however the bread side tasted underdone and gummy this time. They do have a Happy Hour Monday-Friday, 3:00-6:00 pm featuring a variety of drink and appetizer specials. I wish this new restaurant great success and plan to visit again very soon! Poway Social House does share a parking lot with the DMV and Wal Mart so plan your strategy accordingly and pack a pound of patience, or maybe a Xanax.

I drove farther than usual to support a new local business and ended up at Poway Social House in the Walmart/DMV Center of that community. The business was located in a suite along the perimeter of the plaza. Parking spaces were plentiful in that section near the DMV. There was a large dining area along with an outdoor patio for seating. A pool table was placed along one side of the room although no one was playing during my visit. Many TV screens were available to follow live sporting events. I sat a a hightop table in the middle where I could view some of the games. The one-page menu offerings ranged from appetizers, pizzas, flatbreads, burgers/subs, salads, pasta, and desserts. I settled for an Italian Sausage Sub that was served with french fries or tater tots (my choice). The sub came on a roll with Italian sausage links split lengthwise, provolone cheese, onions, and bell peppers. I quickly consumed the tots of which there were 20 on the plate. The sub was served in two halves and contained a healthy amount of marinara sauce as the base for the above toppings. The sausage had mild spiciness. Overall, it was basic bar food in a clean and spacious setting that was worthy of a three star rating for Poway Social House.

We went Sunday evening after church. We heard that Players club changed ownership and became Poway Social House and wanted to try them. The place was lively, ballgames on the screens , a group playing pool as well as having drinks and a whole lot of fun. A great place to meet friends and enjoy the evening. Our food was great, I ordered the spaghetti meatball plate. It was plentiful and tasty. My wife had the chicken penne pasta and loved it. We shared a fried cheese ravioli appetizer. It was all pretty good. We do plan to come again. After all, church is just around the corner and the value was great.

    Happy hour specials.

Came in during lunch After a visit to the DMV. Nice, open, clean space. Lunch during a Wednesday, not crowded. Service was excellent. Evelyn did a great job of letting me know about Wednesday Wing special. Had a draft beer and a smash burger with fries. Great value. Would come again with friends.

Really enjoy Poway Social House... I do miss the old menu from Players... it was much better... better appetizers, burgers.. etc. the menu is really lacking... And the BUGS!!!! What the F**k!!!! The bugs are out of control!!!!

Came here on a Friday after work to watch the first game of the World Series. Atmosphere was inviting and casual. Lots of options for seating and a dog friendly establishment. Food and drink were tasty and staff were super friendly and attentive. Great place to stop by for a casual evening.

After dropping off my better half at her weekly shindig, I proceeded to drive to a local sports bar I'm familiar with to waste 2 hours until it was time to pick up my wife. When I looked at my reliable Yelp app to see if there were other sports bars that I could check out, I saw that there was a new sports bar that had 4 1/2 stars and a minimal number of reviews called Poway Social House (PSH). As I followed the directions to this new sports bar, it led me to the same area as Players Sports Grill. In fact, it led me to the exact location as Players, but in its place was Poway Social House. Players is no more and PSH has taken its place. For my first time dining here, I enjoyed the food I grubbed on, the customer service was stellar, and I liked the addition of a chill sit down area. For those familiar with where Players was situated, you'll easily find it, but for those new to Poway where PSH resides, the restaurant/sports bar is on Community Road just across the way from Walmart. It's a few steps away from the DMW, the Armed Services Recruitment building, and it's next to Taco Taco. There is plenty of parking close to the restaurant and a slew of parking in the Walmart center. What's confusing about PSH being the former home of Players is that the Players Sports Grill sign is still there with a small sign for Poway Social House just below. As you enter the sports bar, it practically looks the same as its previous incarnation with the same low top tables, high top tables, and bar top seating. What was new for me checking out the inside of the restaurant was their addition of a comfortable and chill sit down area complete with a leather sofa, leather chairs, colorful velvet sofas, decorative light fixtures above this new area, and more seating with floral barstools overlooking the outdoor seating area. There is plenty of seating here to include an outdoor seating area where someone can host a large group. There are an armada of televisions for you to catch any sports being televised. There's a pool table and a shuffleboard table. Michael started off as my server and he provided outstanding customer service. He was friendly, personable, and even stayed past his clock out time to make sure his coworker Kevin took care of me. Kevin continued the quality customer service and I can tell the owners prioritize taking care of customers, which these two young men exemplified. During my conversation with Michael, he told me that the owners of Taco Taco are also the owners of Poway Social House, which makes sense since the Mexican fast food joint is next door. PSH's menu is different than Players menu. There are some similarities, but the new menu is a one-pager where they serve appetizers, pizza, flatbread, burgers & subs, light eats, pasta, and dessert. They have good choices on their Happy Hour menu, which goes from 3-6pm. If you're a beer drinker, PSH has a bunch of beer taps. One thing I remember from the Players menu that I wish I had tried, but never got to, was their Loco Moco. PSH doesn't serve this dish, but it does serve a Philly Cheesesteak, which was also on the Players menu. For my dinner, I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and an order of PSH Hot Chicken Wings. One of the plusses of PSH is they're all about value for your money. My chicken wings came out first with 6 hearty wings that were coated in their hot sauce and the plate included slices of celery and carrots. The wings were meaty and finger licking yummy, but I wished they were more spicy. I thought PSH's Philly tasted better than Players' version, which comes with beefsteak, grilled onions and bell peppers, swiss cheese, and everything enveloped by a soft bread roll. The beefsteak was plentiful, tender, and all of the components complemented each other. My Philly came with a generous amount of french fries. Although I really enjoyed the Philly and fries, I suggest a little more seasoning to make both standout even more. I was a little bummed that Players Sports Grill is no longer operating because I had pleasant dining experiences the multiple times I visited throughout the years. I'm glad that its replacement Poway Social House looks like it will seamlessly take its predecessor's place serving delectable food, employing quality servers, and having a cool place to chill and hang out.

Great bar food! Lunch special prices are outstanding. We enjoyed our waitress, she was very kind and attentive. The chandeliers in this place are awesome. It's a mix between a sports bar and a social lounge and that's what so great. It's for everyone!

This place gives off a real "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" vibe. The owner is an established restaurateur who is local to the area, which probably sets the vibe. It's a sports bar with too many screens to count showing all varieties of sports. Food and service are very good. The menu selections rise above typical "Pub food" and their burgers, including their smashburgers, are top-line. Shown is my most recent "balanced meal" of their wedge salad and meatball appetizer. Great place to hang out with friends and make new ones. Also, quality pool tables and piano.

We ordered ahead for pickup, using a third party food delivery app on a Saturday 30minutes before closing time so our order was completed quickly. We ordered the 1/2 lb "OG" burger and the 1/4 lb classic. Both of them came with soft brioche buns and juicy patties. It had a balanced amount of sauces and ingredients without being too overpowering. The meat tasted fresh and not overly salted. However, they are both on a pricier side for a burger that does not come with any sides. They are like fancy burgers without the fancy location. I enjoyed the OG burger's simplicity and its melted cheese but the Classic helped balancing out the greasiness with the lettuce and onions. They used thinly sliced lettuces instead of full leaves. It was before closing so the shop was quiet without music and pretty dark but we were simply ordering pickup so that was not a problem.

She answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations by sharing her personal favorites, the restaurant's top sellers, and describing how each dish tasted. She was very knowledgeable and thorough with the menu, which made ordering easy. It did take a little while for our food to come out, but once it arrived, I ordered the Wagyu Beef Sliders, and my friend had the Short Rib Mac & Cheese. The sliders were just okay for me. The beef was cooked more on the well-done side than I would have preferred, and the toasted bun was a little too hard. The sliders tasted a bit dry, so I found myself adding ketchup to almost every bite. On the other hand, my friend really enjoyed the Short Rib Mac & Cheese. They said it was super cheesy, gooey, and melted in your mouth. The short rib added a rich, savory flavor, and the crispy onions gave the dish a nice little crunch that balanced out the creamy texture. Even though my meal didn't quite hit the mark, I'd definitely come back to try other menu items. Jane's service was great, and based on my friend's meal, it seems like there's plenty more on the menu worth exploring.
