I've been to Wendy's a few times and never had a problem. I went last Saturday for a full set and pedicure the next day a nail popped off and when I called them they were already closed. So I called Monday explaining my situation and they wanted to charge me full price for a nail repair, what a rip off. Also almost all of my nails have lifted by the WORST job I have ever received. I came here when I first moved to Phoenix from the east coast. The owner did my mails beautifully. The problem I had is when I changed the color I noticed the new fill on my acrylics was yellow. When I went to get filled at another shop, an months later I noticed that the fill from this shop was still yellow and getting worse. As my nails grew out, you could see when I came to Wendy's nail salon, and eventually that is where they started breaking. I eventually just paid for a whole new set from my new nail girl Tran at DV Nails.. I likes Wendy and how they looked but the poor product the salon used ruined my nails for months. read more

My gel nails and pedicure lasted a long time, which was great! An older woman did my nails and she wasn't much of a conversationalist, but I was with others so I didn't mind. She took forever to finish my nails, I started at the same time as the others in my group but finished 30 minutes later! This was my first time at Wendy's, my best friend had been going here forever so I assumed it wouldn't be too bad. To start we were instantly greeted and the place looked clean. Unfortunately there was mostly dark colors of polish to choose from which was a huge bummer. My friend got her nails started and I sat next to her waiting for someone to become available to do mine, mind you I was the only one waiting. A few minutes later two ladies walked in and were taken care of before myself when the other technicians were finished, I let it slide. After 20 minutes went by, Wendy (the owner) arrived and started my full set. She was rough and rushed the whole time. Meanwhile another customer came in, she waited, but was obviously impatient. She offered to come back, but Wendy rushed through my nails, which are uneven and have gunk underneath them. She told me to wait aside as she give this lady a fill and polish change. So I waited for her to complete the other lady while I waited to get my polish. She rushed painting the polish, as well as making a mess around my fingers. Horrible experience every time! The owner and her girls are the most rudest nail ladies I have ever encountered. They are pushy and do not listen to anything you ask for. Listen to this story... this will blow your mind.... I had called ahead to make sure they had someone available because was I wanted to get a gel manicure after work. I got there and maybe waited 15 minutes to get seated then the owner which is a older lady started filing off my existing gel. Once the gel was soaked off and my manicure part was done I asked to see another gel color. She had the worst attitude like it was a crime that I asked. I maybe looked at the assortment panel thing of gel colors for 2-3 minutes (from my seat) and I noticed she got up and started doing someone else's nails. I looked at her and asked are you not going to do my nails anymore? She replied, you take too long looking at colors so I'm going to start her nails, I'll be back to you in 10 minutes or another girl is almost done she will finish your gel. I couldn't believe that the owner of a nail salon would treat a customer like this. I got up and told them I was leaving and I didn't want to finish my service because I'm not going to wait 10 minutes while you start someone else's nails who just walked in. The owner demanded me to pay for my manicure (which I did) and didn't even try to resolve the situation or offer to finish my service. I will never go back there! I went across the street, next to Sprouts and found the best nail salon called Biagio Nail & Spa. The owner runs a great business and the girls are all fantastic. It's super clean and updated inside. I had a very bad eperience on my second visit which was today.I had to gel polish taken offf my nails , which I had done done there on my first visit. ..the lady who did previously them said she'd take them off for free, then she saidor for $5 So I told the reception personTODAY what i wanted..I waited..THEY WERE BUSY 2 -OR 3 AHEAD OF ME-- and after 15 minutes .. a manicurist came to me and I asked her how much ..she siad $ 10 even with a manicure.."since you didngt get your nails done here "..she didn't ASK me she just assumed..then she said, while pointing in direction of 2 pedi /manicurists "THEY'LL get back to you" I waited about 15 more minutes the other 2 customers who had been ahead of me, were now getting pedicures ..I was the ony one waiting ..then another worker came to me...Asked me again what service i wanted..I told her i wanted gels off and manicure ..how much? ..so she said $10 to get gels off ,and $15-- manicure...I said just take the gels off then. .thinking she was ready and going to attend to me I walked to desk ..then she says ..can you wait 20 minutes..what kind of customer care is this.????. Very poor service. Rude and rushed even if you paid for the expensive package. They claimed that 5 min massage was included. It was not a truthful claim. You would be lucky if you got 3 minutes. This nail shop is horrible. I went there on my lunch break last Saturday to get my nails done for my birthday. I asked for a full set of acrylics and all of a sudden the older lady I'm guessing the owner who's doing my nails starts using this new "Gel product". I continue to watch as she's doing my nails. They turn out to be good I thought initially. Then I was told it was $45 dollars and was reluctant to pay that much because the nails are so thin that they're loose and look like they'll fall off. THEN.. I went to pay with my card biggest mistake ever. The gentlemen up front swiped my card once and their machine started making a lot of noises, wouldn't print a receipt he said it "there was a error" and ask for my card again and once agin he swiped it and the same issue happened and he even admitted it may be his machine. So I called my fiancé who was in the car to bring me his card and they used that. The gentlemen swiped it twice without permission and lone behold the transaction went through but because it didn't print a receipt they said they didn't get paid. I then pulled up my bank account on my app and showed them that there was a $45 dollar charge that went through and all of a sudden the owner started yelling at me wouldn't let me leave and even when I called my bank and they talked to them confirming the transaction went through. they still had my fiancé go to the Walgreens for cash. In the end this is the most unprofessional company I have ever been to. And I will never recommend anyone to go there. When speaking with my coworkers they all agreed that they have all had horrible experiences no matter what they got there. read more

Went to Wendy's to get nails done and they said they only did gel and then when I'm done on my way out they did acrylic on the next customers nails..two weeks go by and I go to get a color change and a fill. That's what I asked for and that's what I expected to pay for. I got done with my pedicure and waited an hour before they did. Y fill because they pushed other customers that were walk ins in front of me. I go to pay and he said because the technician decided to do a full out pedicure that I have to pay for it. I didn't ask for one and all I wanted was a color change. I thought the price for a fill was $20 like on their price sheet and they charged me for a actual full set. What's the point of getting a fill if the price is no different then what you originally paid. This place does ok work and is a rip off. I would advise and really investigate their prices before you sit down. I'm very unhappy about it. read more

I usually go to Biagio nails but they were booked so I decided to give Wendy's nails a try. I will never go back. It was night and day between the two places. My nails tech was continually trying to up sell me without telling me the price of anything. I am all about paying extra for a good experience however this was not. I asked for the sugar scrub and calluse remover. After she busted out this weeks newspaper to put under my feet...??? She went and got this cucumber lotion and was making a big deal about how good it smelled. Anyways she gave my my pedicure when I went to pay they said they only accepted cash tips. I ran to walgreens next door to get some cash. When I returned to give the nail tech my tip the man at the front desk told me he needed to charge me $10 on my card. When I asked why my nail tech came over and said it was because I got the calluse remover and the cucumber lotion...I agreed that I got the calluse remover and agreed to pay the as advertised price of $5 more however i explained I asked for the sugar scrub and did not receive that. All she kept talking about was the cucumber lotion. I told her I didn't ask for the cucumber lotion she went and got that and I would have been fine with the lotion that was included. Again she never said the cucumber lotion was extra and I didn't receive the sugar scrub like I asked. I felt like she was just trying to get more money out of me and was not being honest. The massage was short and not relaxing. I will never return to Wendy's nails again. Next time I will wait until I can get into Biagio! read more

When I went, my male manicurist took two smoking breaks in the middle of doing my nails! And then when I went back and got the same guy, he didn't even massage my shoulders?!? WTF?! The service was just outright horrible and I will never come back here again. The owner WENDY did my nails and she is the most rude person I have met. She had the nastiest attitude I have ever seen anyone have at a nail salon. She event yanked my hand to put it in the UV light I could not believe that she did what she did. Then when I was going to pay she told the guy at the front that it was going to be $45, I then told the guy that he had told me it was going to be $30. So she agree to give me a "$5 discount". DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. I walked in today to get a fill and they seated me immediately which was nice. Wendy the owner of the salon was working on my nails. She didn't say a word to me for at least 10 minutes until she finally told me that the other nail tech that did my set messed it up. She was very rude and kept complaining that it was taking too long to fix the shape of my nails. I paid 25$ for a full set and walked out paying 30$ for a fill! I've only gotten my nails done by Wendy and she has awful customer service. Another thing I've noticed is every time I go there the chemicals burn my fingers, and it's a very uncomfortable burn. Yes she did do a great job on my nails but her attitude and overcharging is not acceptable. You will not see me going there again. read more

I stopped in for a pedicure & was very pleased with the experience. I asked that it be expedited & the young lady accommodated very well. She gave a great leg/foot massage which I recommend highly. I used to go for upscale pedicures for $50 in a more spa-like atmosphere (e.g. at a hair salon or at the Village). Last month my friend and I went for a pedicure and had a pretty good experience with the techs. We were enjoying ourselves and were cracking up with our techs and each other, the whole time the owner did nothing but give us dirty looks. So we thought ok maybe just a bad day - so this month we came back. Found out our techs have left and everyone in the place was super rude to the customers. The owner gave us dirty looks again and even tho the techs were ok just no personality. While we were there, a woman in her 50's like us came in with her mom to have a manicure for mom and a pedicure for herself. The daughter checked her mom's manicure and it was not a good job done by the owner, when she went to speak to Wendy, she was rude to her and said I did her stuff 3 times and I'm not doing anything for you or her. Another lady who also had her mom with her for a color change on her toes and they ignored her. I don't understand why people would go there when there are plenty of other places. Yes it may be cheaper but the atmosphere and rudeness is not worth it. When my friend attempted to pay the bill and wanted to add a tip for the techs, she was told it must be cash. When she questioned it the cashier said it is posted, which you don't notice where it is posted. He said it is law, when she questioned it and said I add to bill other places. He said it is also law in CA and she said I don't believe so because I have done it in CA. He said well sorry very rudely. Definitely going somewhere else next time. I went here for the first time today and was very unsatisfied with my service. To start off, there was no pricing anywhere up front. I went in for a acrylic fill that ended up costing $40, more then I have ever paid before to get a fill with no embellishments. The lady was trying to go fast and kept hitting my cuticles with the drill. I told her a few times. By my 6th finger she did this to, I was about to get up and go. I told her to be careful, oh sorry was her response. I love getting pointed nails and came in with them. I wanted them shortened a little bit, since my nails grew since the last time I had them done, go figure. I had her go back to file one side for one full hand and 2 on the other hand because the were lopsided. Then when putting on my gel nail polish, my party nail I wanted it to be a glitter polish. Come to find out that polish was thickened probably from being old. I asked to then take it off, and she wanted to charge me extra for that. I said no, and then she try to convince me to do another layer, so we did that. And now it really looks bad. I will not be returning there. read more
