I love to go to this Wendy's at Ka Makana Ali'i. If you go inside, there are about 100 drink selections that you can customize. I have always found the staff to be considerate and helpful. I have never had any difficulty with the drive-through window either. My service has been efficient and friendly. Somehow, I have never experienced my order in disarray or incorrect. I have gone to this Wendy's at least 100 times, without any difficulty! This is my location of choice. (and I have gone to other locations on the west side of Oahu.) Hip and modern for you millennials. Yea this place rocks. No really, the people are friendly and the place is bright with plenty of seating and space to move around. I came in at about 2010 and my cashier Victoria was still smiling and made light conversation. And the manager handed me my order and again a friendly smile with light talk also. I would give a shout out to the manager but there was no name tag. Great people skills through. The food was good. Fries slightly warm but the chicken sandwich was juicy and looked like they took time to make it. The veggies were actually in the center of the bun instead of all over the place and the condiments was just the right amount. Soda dispenser awesome. They are the ones that you can made any combination you want. HI-C is a lost flavor that you can find here. I love those machines. And since I got the cheap 4 for $5 (I ate at DB grill a couple of days ago people) I also got nuggets. It's average but Wendy's has the best honey mustard sauce in my opinion. Overall four stars. Came here are on a busy Memorial Day holiday. I'm usually pretty laid back with super low expectations when dining fast food. I usually never leave yelp reviews for fast food either because it is what it is, fast food served by minimum wage staff. It's usually a hit or miss with either low end help or thankfully in this case extremely welcoming and HARD WORKING staff! IMMEDIATELY greeted when we came inside. Went here for lunch with my son. We rarely eat at Wendy's but wanted to give it a try. We stood in line. Only 1 cashier was open so it took kinda long. He took our order. My son got the grilled chicken sandwich combo and I got the nugget meal. The prices were very reasonable. As my son was getting our drinks I hear my name get called. I said holy smokes that was fast! This location recently has had terrible drive-thru customer service. We've been going there since opening and have never had any issues. But recently who ever they COVID hired does not like her job and has ZERO customer service. Poor sassy attitude and has no business speaking to customers. I'm usually not the type to give negative reviews but tonight did it. I went to this location since it was close to home (I live in Ewa), for a lemonade drink and couple of frosties to bring home. The line wasn't all that bad for 9pm. I waited by the order box for about 2-3 min, still no answer from any cashiers to take my order. I'm usually patient so I wait a little longer, and RUDELY got greeted from the cashier. I just brushed it off, because maybe just maybe that's how she talks ‍ ordered my frosties and I had a question about the flavors of the lemonade to see which ones they had. The cashier again RUDELY ANSWERED "We only have only the strawberry one. No other flavors!" Like Jeeze okay, you don't need to be rude about it. So I replied "okay can I get that one please?" The cashier replied "uhhh what? The lemonade?" LIKE YES. I want the strawberry one. At this point I'm already getting irked, just because I hate when people give me attitude when I'm just asking a simple question. I'm finally paying, and I confirmed my order with the 2 frosties and the strawberry lemonade. The cashier says 17.00 for my total, and I'm thinking WAIT HOLD UP did she just say 17.00?! I was about to ask the cashier for my card back but she already ran it, and she gave my receipt. Tell me why I got charged for the 2 frosties, the strawberry lemonade, CHILI AND 2 6 PIECE NUGGETS. At this point I was mad and confused. Asked for a refund for the food items because I didn't order them, and all I got was confused faces from her and the other 2 cashiers. Rochelle (I apologize if I spelled that wrong) was very informative, helpful, and very courteous. My pregnant daughter had asked me at the last minute to bring her home some Wendy's, so I was trying to do an online pick up order. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the location right so I decided to walk-in. I asked the girl at the counter (Leysha?) if it was possible to pay via my app (like Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts) as I explained my dilemma, she wasn't sure, but good thing her manager was nearby; she explained to us that it was doable. The cashier took my order, the shift manager showed her how to take my payment, and within 10 minutes, my daughter's order was complete! Great customer service, knowledgeable staff, clean store (another location had a sticky floor ), and it was also nice to finally see patrons dining in! We'll definitely be back at this location, and hoping the other crews are as outstanding as last night's team! read more

I'm a frequent visitor of this Wendy's since it's at the mall by both my home and the gym (yes, sometimes I get a post workout meal from Wendy's--shoot me). Favorites are the strawberry lemonade and the avocado salad! I keep the strawberry lemonade in my fridge and just drink it throughout the week. It's so good! The salads are literally so fresh at Wendy's that I once found a dead cricket in my salad, but that was a one time occasion and I lived to tell the tale. Service and speed is hit or miss, but the line is never usually TOO crazy, especially since Jollibee opened next door to give another option for drive through food. read more

So I ordered an Asiago grilled chicken combo and substituted the fries for a loaded bacon and cheese potato add sour creams and chives. They charged me $16. I felt suspicious of it so I went online and tried to order the same exact thing when I got home, it came out to $11.89. First strike. I've been going to this specific Wendy's for some time now and every time I go I'm never disappointed no matter what time of the day/night it is my food is always fresh. The staff is very nice and welcoming. This will always be my go to location, I rather drive to this Wendy's from anywhere on the island to have guaranteed freshness. This Wendy's is nice. I noticed how huge the kitchen is, which is great for employees. The dining room is kind of small though. There's an outdoor seating area, but is faces Kapolei Parkway which is noisy and there's car exhaust. Maybe that design wasn't well thought out. Did you know you can get a Frosty Float? I normally wouldn't write a review for a fast food restaurant but I've been to this location twice now and both times the service stood out. First visit was a normal dine-in visit but there was an associate walking around the dine-in area asking everyone if they were okay and if they needed anything. I've never experienced that at a fast food restaurant! Second visit I ran in to get food for my family with my toddler because the drive thru line was too long. One of the managers (I'm assuming) noticed I had a lot of bags to carry out and a toddler so he insisted on helping me to my car. That was a huge help! Major kudos to this Wendy's! read more

Cars back up to the street of KMA out of Wendy's drive thru that far back on a normal Sunday Lunch time. Have to wait to get into the parking lot but then said 'scr3w it,' parked in the normal KMA lot, walked around the cars blocking the way, yet still inside the Wendy's there was still a line of people. Arghhh! Good Grief Charlie Brown! All I wanted was my baconater or the darn closest thing to a big old bacon cheese burger regarless of what they call it now and fries. The line was so long and the manager must have been noticing how unhappy guests were because next thing we know in line we are all handed a free chocolate frosty while we wait so that we do not jump down anyone's throats. Ending of the story - got my burger and fries even with the wait. Just know that they are still getting the kinks out with the staff so it is clear that they are not up to rush hour expectations yet. But hopefully with a with it management they will be soon- so I'm willing to give them a second shot next time. I'll be back. I do love the Frosty with french fries so yes, you know I'll be back. Came here one day before I start work. Needed something fast since I was running errands the whole morning. I still find drive thru amusing and whoever created it is awesome. Lol. Drove up to the paying window and the guy made small conversation to me about my day. Which was good. Worst Wendy I've been at all my life. We came in at 8:40 and waiting in line while no one for atleast 20 mins while no one even acknowledged us for one second. This location is conveniently located at the new mall. The exterior design is modern and aesthetically pleasing. They have ample parking and a two window dive thru. I often prefer to come to this location rather than the one on Farrington Hwy. They usually have really fresh food and great service. There is one employee at the window in particular who is always friendly and nice! I was a little disappointed in my food during my last visit. I ordered the new home style tenders because they looked sooo good on TV. When I opened the box I was sadly disappointed. The tenders where old and cold and extremely shriveled up and not fresh and juicy like in the commercials. I still will give them 4stars because usually my food is fresh and hot and up to standard. I've always noticed when driving by the drive through line is always long. I just figured it was because people loved Wendy's. After my experience there, I realized it was just because the service is slow. When I think about their other location in Kapolei, there is never really a line. I was upset because I had to wait in this long line to order a single cheese burger, but that was my fault. Still, I was really irritated that it took that long to get through the line. The order was $8.99, I gave her $9.00. She counted the cash and said I was short. I asked her to count again and got a quick "I can count". I was as polite as I could and asked her to count again. This is one of our "usual" spot for Sunday afternoons after church. For some reason, this place has recently gone down the tubes. Today half of the flavors in both drink machines were out, there was no ice and the drink station was FILTHY. The men's room was a disaster, the tables were all disgusting and wobbly. The air conditioner was off (it's 88 degrees and humid outside). The food was adequate but the service was inadequate.
