This Wendy's had horrible customer service. I picked up the food and noticed that the frosty they gave barely filled up the cup. I asked the lady about it and she said that's how much they are supposed to give. I remember going to other Wendy's and got frosty to the top of the cup so she was just lying to my face. She also lied to the other customer since this customer said the soda machine was giving coke instead of ginger ale. She told the customer it was ginger ale however the drink was dark like coke. So she literally lies to customers. The dining room was extremely dirty. Nobody cleans the tables. I will no longer be coming to this Wendy's. read more

First off I like this Wendy's but everytime I come here either I'm missing a few items or they charge me for items that I never ordered and then don't even have it in the bag. Today I ordered dinner for my family and I had to wait in the drive thru line for a while bcoz the order taker kept telling me to hold on and left me hanging for a while and there was a long line forming already. I had ordered 3 baked potatoes in addition to other food items and when I got home I was missing one of the baked potatoes and a chili. Called them right away and they didn't even care. Their customer service needs to be handled better and they should always have employees repeat the order back and check the order before handing it out. Whoever I spoke to didn't wasn't even apologetic or nothing, didn't even say they were gonna comp my missing item only said they will just give a refund. Like it's your guy's fault for my missing items and there's no compensation for it only a refund. And I spent $70 for all the food and for that BS is unacceptable read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. Stopped here for some food after shopping. The drive thru line was slow and like another reviewer said the worker does ask you to hold on and takes a while to actually take the order. But, that's not the reason for the review. We get up to the window and the girl gives us our drinks, takes my card for payment, returns the card and disappears for a bit. When she returns, she hands me two bags. As I'm looking through it, she says, "That's everything, your whole order." It was most definitely NOT my whole order and I had to get her attention 3x so that I could get everything I paid for. The whole time she didn't apologize all she did was give me a death glare when all I wanted was what I had ordered and paid for. It wasn't just sauces that were missing (and they were) it was fries, a salad and 2 nuggets! Not little things. The lady who greeted my at the drive-thru was surprisingly enthusiastic and didn't speak in a monotone, tired voice like how people at the drive-thru usually speak. The guy who handed me my food was also enthusiastic and even made small talk with me about my truck. Was a surprisingly memorable experience for just being a simple drive-thru order. This review is not for other Yelpers but more for the business... typically I wouldn't write a review for fast food because y'all know what to expect from a baconator and frosty! However, I just had THE WORST DRIVE THRU EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I go to drive thru often and mostly service is cheerful at all establishments, maybe a little lazy, but NEVER RUDE. Sorry not sorry but the person who took my order at the speaker and handed my order to me should not be working at the drive thru! What a horrible transaction from start to finish. Long story short, I ordered 3 items and someone else had to come on the speaker to make sure my order was right. At this point I was slightly irritated because what I wanted was not what was showing on the screen. I proceeded to the window where I was not sure when I was being spoken to. Most places give you your drink first but I didn't get mine. And then they did not seem sure if they were handing me the correct order. And once I got my food I waited a moment for my drink until I said "I think I have a drink" and then the person handed me my drink.... So I asked for a straw. Then the person rudely handed me a straw and slammed the window!!! WTF!!! My MIL who was with me noticed that the person at the window seemed to be rolling their eyes so she kind of made a sound that she was upset but regardless, there was absolutely no reason for me to be treated this way. Besides my horrible interaction tonight- I will say I have been to this location twice and both times took at least 30 mins so be prepared to spend some time here! I'm ok with waiting but not ok with being treated so impolitely! If I could give zero stars I would. The service was terrible, kicked me out from the back seats even though it was open, if you didn't want people going back there, then close it off. It was so dead I thought it was closed...but it wasn't. I ordered the Southwest Avocado salad, turned it into a combo, and I was good to go. They were out of Coke Zero but that's all right. This place seemed to get more drive-thru traffic, so the staff seemed pretty chill like they had the place to themselves. A voluptuous woman with thick eyelashes and a cute face took my order. It's great to have a sign that leads your customer to believe they will get great service. However, if you don't or won't give satisfactory service, you really should just take it down. We came thru your drive thru and were treated with the most disrespect and disregard to us as a customer. No one at the pick up window when we arrive for approximate 6 minutes. When the employee arrives she process with handing us a bag that did not belong to us. We had to tell her that is not our order. Even after we told her it was not ours she insisted we were wrong. When we told her what we ordered, she said "did you pay for it?" Obviously not as the other window was closed and her window was the only open one! When she give us our total, she grabbed our card, swiped it. Returned it to us, gave us our order that had been sitting on the ledge of the window since we arrived (now 8 minutes later). Then walked away. It seems so sad when employees feel there is no need to thank their customers for patronizing their place of business. Maybe your employees should go and talk to former employees of all those other restaurants that did not make it through the pandemic. Gotta love this Wendys! Yesterday I drove thru and got a #12. ( Grilled Chicken Blt Avocado with Ranch sauce) The most pleasant voice came on and took my order and repeated it. Being lactose intolerant I kept saying, "No Mayo" and no sauce . She replied-there is no mayo ma'am. So everything was good including Dave's Handcrafted Lemonade-super delicious!!! I got home and opened my sandwich which would've been perfect if there was Avocado in it?! It was missing one of the main ingredients. I called and spoke to Christy and she was apologetic and said to bring my receipt in whenever I come in again and she will make me another sandwich. I actually was in the area the very next day. Just returned from Wendy's Kapolei and wanted to give props to the manager who handle a mixup very professionally. Placed an order and ordered a large frosty. When my food was ready I noticed the frosty was a small. Told the server that I ordered a large and she said no you said small. So the server got assistance from the manager and relayed the story and the manager said "No, he did order a large" so they made the correct size and as I got ready to pay the difference the manager said "No it's okay just leave a good review!" How's that for quick and speedy service!! So good to see a manager handle an easy situation in a non aggressive way. A great asset to this company!!! read more

Their soda machines are extremely dirty. I used to work at a theater with the same machines and we thoroughly cleaned those. Really it didn't take much to clean it. I needed a quick bite to eat. Being vegan there aren't a lot of options for fast food but after a google search, I saw I could get a veggie sandwich from Wendy's and a thing of fries. I ordered a veggie sandwich but the cashier wasn't familiar with it-- I didn't expect her to be. It's a pretty uncommon request albeit. She got some help from her manager, great! I had a JR Cheeseburger Deluxe ordered with no patty, no cheese, no mayo, substitute mustard. I received my order and found the sandwich made with mayo and no mustard. I brought it back and asked for the exact same thing just no mayo, substitute mustard. I then waited for another sandwich to be made with just ketchup. I gave it back and said she forgot the mustard. I went to this Wendy's to pick up an order and they didn't start the order until I asked about the order. The lady in the front saw us standing there waiting to be helped but didn't pay no attention to us. Then when we finally got helped, we had to wait an extra half an hour to an hour for the order to be completed. When we received the order the frosty wasn't filled up all the way. Also when a customer asked the lady if the drink that she got was ginger ale the lady lied and said it was ginger ale when it clearly looked like coke since ginger ale is supposed to be clear. I love that Wendy's has so many things on their menu that looks fresh and Wendy's in Kapolei next to Ka Makana Ali'i is right in-line with the restaurants reputation. Kapolei Wendy's is located in a great spot with easy access especially the drive-thru. The floors, tables and bathrooms are super clean and the cashier had a smile. Hit or miss, I would say. I like Wendy's over McDonalds and Burger King. Their items are pretty good when they are fresh. I ordered son of baconator meal by drive-thru. The fries were really fresh out of deep fryer and were awesome. The burger on the other hand, not so much. Buns were little hard, by sitting on warmer. My medium mango peach tea was huge! The service at drive-thru was pleasant. However, one piece of napkin didn't really help. I need a bit more than one piece of paper. I had my credit card skimmed by an employee at this location. They charged $500 on my credit card before I was able to freeze the account. When my credit card company investigated, they found the last transaction I made was at Wendy's and the next fraudulent charge was a couple hours later - all in the Kapolei area. I hadn't use the card anywhere else for several days prior. I called and spoke with the Manager On Duty and he was very nice, but told me he wasn't the person to talk to about it and would have the General Manager call me back. The General Manager called back. I explained I also run a customer-facing business in Kapolei and am troubled that an employee would use a credit card skimming device at this location and the GM told me he was sorry, but there wasn't much he could do for me. I had the receipt, transaction number and time of service. I asked if he wanted any of that information and he said there was nothing he could do with it. There was a lot he could have done. This is a disappointing and concerning reaction from their management. We don't need this sort of thing in Kapolei. read more

Always satisfied with the food, though the combos feel more expensive than the competitors. The burgers and options are the best, but McD fries still reign number one. This particular location has had consistently solid service. To the point I've been tempted to pass out my business cards and start recruiting. Keep it up! Hopefully this location can stay strong as their talent pool is going to be invariably shared with the new Waipio location.
