10/26/21 Placed an order through drive-thru for two single cheeseburger small meals for $10 with a coupon. There were only two cars ahead of me, but service was still slow. They were still slightly faster than my recent visit to Burger King. Generally speaking, Chick- fil-A and McDonalds reign the title for FAST food. I bet they would double or triple the number of customers that were served during my wait. I drove thirteen minutes out of the way as I don't like the Wendys on Dobbin Rd. Unfortunately by the time I got home, our dinner was cold. My husband said the fries which are supposed to be crispy weren't. Apparently they guarantee that the fries are hot and crispy. It's understandable and expected that they weren't hot since I had a bit of a drive home. The fries tasted stale, old, and perhaps overcooked. If we ate there it may have tasted better hot. I will commend this location on two things they did right: 1) the person who took my order apologized for the delay and was super friendly and 2) he punched a hole on the lids so that we could differentiate the two soda flavors. read more

Horrendous! Went there to get food vía drive thru with our son. We were at the back line for almost 15 minutes-the line did NOT move. In frustration we left, along with the car in front of us. This location is in a neglected little corner of 108 by Rt. 29, and the store itself is plenty neglected. Old signs, old building. But what's worse is there was one group of customers (4) eating inside, but they somehow can't get 4 customers in cars thru the drive-thru. read more

I'm used to the horrendous service I receive at ANY Wendys I go to in baltimore. So while out & about, I saw one out here in Columbia & figured what the hell, expecting the same service here. I was starving and simply needed a 'double stack'. Gimme what I need and I'll be on my way... The attendant (drive thru) told me about the 4 for $4 deal. Couldn't pass that up... LOL. The service was stellar. I didn't know the young lady's name that helped me at the drive thru but she was so professional. Good rearing... and the food was piping hot & flavorful!!! Now if I could just clone this location with all the employees and drop in Bmore near me, I wouldn't mind stopping by wendys when the craving hit. Ahhhh well. KUDOS Columbia location!!!! read more

I'd give less if possible. We placed a mobile order because my kids had never tried Wendy's before. I wish Chick Fil A had been open and soared my kids the spectacle. The staff was mad at us for just breathing. My kids are still asking me what we did wrong. I wish there were cameras because I doubt anyone would believe how bad it was. Never again. read more

This Wendy's is getting worse by the day service is horrible food is even worse and the " employees "could care less do not go there

This is a terrible Wendy's. Clearly an absentee manager and no staff with any understanding of what Wendy's food is supposed to look and taste like. The only product they don't mess up is soda. Most disappointing, Frostys from this location are melted more often than not, half-melted is the norm but sometimes they are soupy and closer to the consistency of the soda then Frostys from other Wendy's. The fries have been limp for years and are generally served Luke warm like they've been sitting around for hours. Even Wendy's corporate effort to improve their fries didn't help. This location sold fresh crispy fries the first week of the promotion - free replacement if fries are not served hot & crispy. Then, the fries reverted to their old norm - cold and limp. This is often a symptom of dirty fryer oil, combined with no oversight. The location of this Wendy's is excellent because there are several employers and children's activities in the neighborhood. There is seldom a long line here, even though the line at a nearby Chik-fil-a is almost always so long that cars are backed up to an intersection a block down the street. When there is a line here it moves horrendously slowly because there is a shortage of skill filling orders. The Wendy's location is much more convenient that the Chik-fil-a. My expectation of Wendy's food is much lower than my expectation of Chik-fil-a, but this Wendy's is absolutely the worst Wendy's I've ever eaten at. The Wendy's franchise owner or corporate must have no aspiration of maximizing their income. Other peeves with the Wendy's include the fact that they don't tell you your total until you get to the window and ask how much you owe them. If you request a total at the ordering sign, they act as though you asked them for a tremendous favor. During the COVID period when masks were mandated you could see the all the staff inside didn't wear masks / these people prepared your food. I even saw some coughing into the air with no concern. I went to this Wendy's today, April 15, 2021 for lunch. I used the drive-thru and the service was awful today. When I called the store they made me wait to speak with a manager. When I spoke with the manager, she told me it was her that I spoke with, she further disclosed she was having a good day. I thought to myself, if this is a good day, I wonder what does a not so good day look like for customers and staff. Needless to say, my issue was not resolved, the manager hung-up and when I called back they kept hanging up. I had to take my compliant to the corporate office. This is our favorite Wendy's - we go out of our way to drive through here! The customer service has been terrific in the late afternoons and evenings. The Shift Manager over there is so friendly when he is working the window. If you are really lucky you will get the cashier with the "British" accent. She's hilarious! This review will be short and to the point. I just got a maverick badge for completing a trio of check-ins at low rated businesses. We came here after church for a quick lunch snack. We have somewhere to be so of course we hit the drive thru. Sounds like a great idea right?? Umm wrong!!! So we get to the speaker only to be told that they weren't taking any more drive thru orders. Ok what in all of he world?? Like 2 cars are in front of us and they were just served via drive thru 45 milliseconds ago?! So like how did we even get to this conclusion??? Arrgghhhh!! So we were hungry so we parked and went in. The first door I went to was locked. Smh lawd why?!! So I finally find an open door and get in line. One good thing about this location is that it was bright, airy, and welcoming. Aside from the greasy floor it was clean. I wasn't really greeted cheerfully but I placed my order for a 4 for $4 meal and it was served within 4 minutes. My fries were hot so one point for that and one point for the clean look. The spicy chicken sandwich which I have gotten from this location in the past is now bad. It is like the chicken from the $1 menu - thin and dried out. I couldn't eat it. Fries were not hot either. I spent literally 5 minutes in line before the people in front of us STARTED giving their order, but then the employee lefts to go back to making food for drive through people, and ignoring the long line of walk-ins. I would have left if I didn't have a point to make, so as soon as the people in front of me gave up and walked out, and it was MY turn, I just leaned over the counter and started yelling to them non stop to get their attention. EVENTUALLY I got the managers attention(no one else cared), and he came and took my order, and explained how it's not his fault, and that he and 3 other people can't take care of just 2 people at a time. don't want to put blame in the incorrect place, so I don't know if it's the manager in duty, or the person at the head of things who makes the call, but the manager on duty SAID it was the upper's fault for making them send people home, but they really didn't APPEAR understaffed, just ignoring us. FYI all the other walk-in people had given up and left also, so they threw away about 4 multi-person orders just while I was there. After I ordered they kept up with the walk-in people too, and Althing went very smoothly, I was paying attention. Went through the drive through with my kids who were indecisive of what they wanted. The person on the headset was not friendly, at all. She actually was sighing and clearly annoyed that I was verifying what the kids wanted. Right after I paid, the next girl asked me to move up, then saw there was someone else already pulled up, so she sighed and turned around and then all hell broke loose amongst the ladies working there. Yelling at each other, saying what's up with the car out there, y'all don't know what you're doing, etc. I was glad to get my food and leave. But wait! There was something missing! Back through the line I went. I got to the window, the girl handed me the bag and closed the window. No sorry. No smiles. Nothing. Clearly these people hate life and do not enjoy where they work. To be honest, this is really about a 2.5 star Wendy's. They're not absolutely horrible, but the real reason I keep using them is they're the only Wendy's nearby. The biggest complaints seem to come from the kitchen. The people taking your order get it down right... but the people making it seem to be idiots. Even more, they're completely unprofessional and you can hear them arguing with each other behind the scenes. Just the other night the manager had to go back there again, because people were waiting 15 minutes for their food. The staff were arguing over who should be making what and how rather than just getting the process done. Now, the manager is an amusing man. Kind of rough, he looks like Uncle Ruckus from The Boondocks. Talks like him a bit too. Still, having to deal with the idiots under him, he does whup them into shape when needs be. So, I gave a -1 for the staff behind the scenes but a +1 for the manager... which is why we end up with the rating I give. read more

Like other posters, I have had so many terrible experiences with this location. I only use it from time to time because it's about 5 minutes from my home. The evening drive-thru staff is atrocious. Completely unprofessional and inefficient. We've had our orders "lost" when we arrive at the window and asked to wait in the lot for our food, only for it to arrive 10-15 minutes later, not even hot. One time the guy at the window was sitting there texting in front of us while his manager asked him to put the phone away, to no avail. Come on Wendy's, there are a lot of people out there who need a job and are willing to do good work. Don't settle for crummy employees. read more

I came before 9am for breakfast as I didn't have time to make some before leaving for work. I ask for just one sandwich and I don't get the price at the intercom but was told to pull around so I do. I get the amount and start grabbing exact cash/change. There is nobody in line behind me because it's Wendy's before 9am, yet the person at the window immediately starts rushing me and saying "just give me the three dollars" and not letting me tell them it's okay because the change is already in my hand (it took less than one minute to grab the change from my wallet) they interrupted me twice again to say the same thing before I tell them "yeah I was just grabbing your exact change because I have it". I hand it to them and then they asks if I want jelly or butter I say no thanks to which they reply "that's weird people always ask for it"... okay? I understand the service industry sucks, I'm in it and have been for years. But I don't understand this hurry up and get out attitude when I have said literally nothing to you and especially nothing rude. Not to mention I'm the only customer there. Absolutely terrible customer service. Walked in and saw two other people off to the side waiting for their orders. They looked annoyed. I stood at the register for someone to acknowledge my presence for about 5 mins. (This was a prepaid order, otherwise I would've left) There was a guy behind the counter filling orders and he was facing my direction, but chose to not utter a word. One of the people who was off to the side shook his head because they too realized how terrible this experience was. Finally, I had to be the one to loudly ask for my order which took another 10 minutes to fill. Two others walk in and stand there waiting to place an order. After a few minutes I informed them that no one would be helping them. They smiled and said, "we hope so." After another 5 mins an employee walks up to the register, which we all thought meant they were going to be helped. NOPE! The employee didn't utter a word. That's when the two people decided to leave. The guy putting the fries and nuggets in the cartons wasn't wearing gloves and his hands were touching all over the food. If I hadn't witnessed him touch a dirty rag right beforehand, I probably wouldn't have been so disgusted. They need immediate customer service and food handling training at this location. It might be worth it to starve instead of eating at this place. There is no way this place has an active manager, because the ineptitude of the service and the crap-holiness of dining area is unexplainable if this place has a manager. We were there for about 30 minutes and every single order that was taken they got something wrong including ours and a few drive-thrus. The dining area was disgusting. It seemed more fit for a pig pen than a place to consume food. If they ran a steam cleaner over that carpet the water would come out blacker than an 8-ball. One of the child seats was as sticky as a Cinnabon from top to bottom. And it did not look like that had happened recently. Another good one: there were no napkins anywhere in the store. read more

I just spent 20 minutes at the drive thru waiting for a Frosty because a) it took about an average of 5 minutes per order and b) they told me that they are not allowed to have cars pull over to the side and run food out to them after the lobby closes because "it is too dangerous for them." Guess it isn't too dangerous for your customers to sit in a car for over 20 minutes. I will never return to this Wendy's which is barely passable on a good day. read more

I drive a service route and can't always stop at my preferred fast food places, so every once in a while I find myself on 108 and needing a quick bite. I know what I'm going to get ahead of time and this place never surprises me. If it wasn't so disgusting, it would be funny. The last time in, the cashier was munching loudly from a bag of snacks as she took my order, while the people in the back were yelling about pretty much anything but food and the number of people waiting for their orders kept growing. It was an extra special moment when a couple of the staff took time out from getting the orders together to greet someone they knew at the counter - made me feel like I was a part of a real tight social circle.
