Representing 2021 in runner-up of out of town picks, H is for Hardee's. I had been to Hardee's a few times especially in my 1st full year of living in Anne Arundel County. I was all excited about Hardee's as I remembered having it in the past, but the maybe 3 times I went it was underwhelming. Burger was mediocre. I remember the bun was kind of hard; I guess it is Hardee's. But Hardee's needs to go soft with their buns. I also got breakfast before, it was decent but nothing to write home about. Frankly, I prefer Dunkin' for a breakfast sandwich. I remembered I tried to redeem a free coffee one time, and they couldn't make an iced coffee, but the hot coffee was ok. I'm only giving 2 because the chicken was divine. Ordered a sausage and egg biscuit, got sausage and cheese. Ordered a spicy chicken biscuit and got a regular chicken biscuit with a sprinkling of JO's on too! Biscuit was not as burned ad last visit bit still not a true Hardee's biscuit. Our fav is in Ba Beach! Tea was perfect. Someone needs to clean the dining room. Several dirty tables. Employees need to SMILE and be happy to serve your customers, we pay your salary! read more

The Hardees on Annapolis road is one of the best run fast food restaurants we have been to in years. The staff was polite, friendly and made sure everything in our order was correct, fresh and hot. Love Hardees! The menu is amazing and nothing beats a charbroiled burger! The Big Hardee is my favorite! With so many people using the drive thru, they are missing the feel of sitting down to enjoy a burger. I was greeted by 2 staff members when I walked in and the inside was clean. One staff member even got up from his break to take my order. The manager made sure the outside was clean by picking up trash left by drive thru patrons! We stopped by for breakfast about 9:15 on a weekday, the parking lot was wide open and it was easy to find a spot because we wanted to eat in. Inside the store appeared clean and that was a good sign. I asked the lady at the register if they had burgers and french fries and the answer was no, so now to pick a breakfast item at a reasonable price. We wanted to do the advertised deal where you Buy1, Get 1 For $2 to include a breakfast sandwich, burger, or other sandwich of equal or lesser value. She said that is available by doing the survey. Disappointment set in because we do not live near a Hardees. My husband ordered the loaded omelet biscuit platter with small tater tots and a small drink. I ordered the Croissant with only bacon, small tater tots and a small drink. The total came to $16,68!!! Ouch!!! For the quality of the food...the tater tots were hot and they were IMO greasy. His loaded omelet biscuit was good, the biscuit was fresh and temp was just right. However my croissant left me confused, the croissant was toasted but tasted smoky, it was unremarkable at best. The bacon was ultra thin and not at all crisp, about 1 and 1/2 strips of pre-cooked bacon. I left disappointed and felt overcharged for what we received. Service was very good, the lady brought it to our table when was ready. We came all the way here to get a Hot Dog. Mannnnn my mouth was Watering for that Hot Dog. Welp got my feelings hurt. They don't sell Hot Dogs. So I choose the Bacon Cheeseburger. Lawdddddd have mercy, it was nice and warm, cheese melted nicely, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. And the Bacon on this Burger was cooked to perfection. I would have paid 20.00 for this Burger. This Hardee's is one of the best kept secret for breakfast in this area. They never fail to surprise me every time I'm here.

I'll tell you that I was impressed and pleased with the performance of the team here at this location. A group of young athletes came in after a long meet and were ravenous. The counter order taker processed the whole group, adults included and then the fun started. A taller worker with great precision ensured all orders were properly placed in the right hands. When one burger was handed off to the wrong customer, it was whisked away and replaced in under 4 minutes ( !) . The store manager should give props to the group that worked late Friday evening kudos! read more

I've went to Hardee's approximately 3 times a year for the last 40 years, all for their delicious Sausage Gravy n Biscuit. I moved to Odenton in 2020. Picked up some biscuit n gravy and it was gross slime on a shingle. I was so shocked, I'd never had it not taste the same. I'd never had it not be consistently delish. I figured it must have been a one time thing, forgot about it. 2 years later, today, I wake up n think it sounds good, so I got up extra early n went to get it.... Only to find that gross previous incident in 2020 wasn't a one off. It's just trash now. Idk if all Hardee's changed their gravy, but this belongs in the garbage. First of all, where is the sausage??? There wasn't even one speck of sausage in my "sausage gravy". There was also no flavor. It's just white, flavorless, gross goo. Idk who is in charge of this, but for the love of goddess and breakfast, fix it. If you own this franchise-- I am begging you-- fix this disgraceful sludge and go back to preparing sausage gravy with actual sausage in it. It also costs double what it used to not too long ago. Which I could understand if it didn't taste like . Do better. Such a bummer. I won't be back. I'm traditionally a fan of Hardee's, however this one is quite worse than your typical one. The biscuit I got was hard, and the meat inside cold. Also, I only received 4 mini hashbrowns. Typically they'll have around 8, so that was very strange. Furthermore, their soda machine needed a syrup change and when I alerted the cashier, he let out a big huff and said somebody else would take care of it. Extremely rude workers, I went through the drive through and I couldn't complete my sentences without getting cut off. The sprite was flat so I went inside to ask for a new one, the door was unlocked so I figured inside dining was open and when I walked in I was rudely told that it was closed and given a nasty look, then I told them I needed a new drink and they gave it to me but they were rude about everything I asked. They then locked the door when I left when the door should have been locked in the first place to prevent confusion. To make this all worse this whole interaction was with the manager!!!! read more

I decided to give Hardee's another chance. That was a bad mistake. with just one person in front of me, I waited over ten minutes, and then left without even ordering. Another couple, waiting for take out said they were waiting about 30 minutes and that they didn't blame me for leaving. The manager joked with a worker, about her being late, and called her "Your lateness" in front of customers, while the other cashiers seemed to huddle over a single cash register as though it is a puzzle. I then went through the drive-thru after local shopping in the shopping center to get what I intended earlier. Hardee's. When I was a little kid growing up in Columbia, my mom would take me to a Hardee's and I would cry and scream because back then the Hardee's were terrible. Fried chicken would be burnt and stale, the fries tough and flavorless, the service was... I dont remember... But it was bad. I havent been to a Hardee's in longer than a decade. I just went there about an hour ago... Not what I was expecting. Not in a negative way either. Came in with my brother and immediately, the environment was... Nicely done. Not too much lighting making it more casual and even somewhat intimate than a typical fast food place. Small flat screen LCD? TV's hang up in each corner of the place, retro style seats, high, low, and booths. The manager there seemed kinda upset towards his employees, but when he turned around and seen us, he smiled and gently greeted us. We ordered a turkey burger combo and a frisco combo with sweet and unsweetened teas. They gave us a number and told us to put it on our table so they can deliver the food to us. We sat down and had a short conversation before they sent us our food. Come to find out, we waited for about 7 minutes. Again, not your typical fast food place. Waiting 7 minutes, looking at them prepare your food. Not like McDonalds where right when you order BAM its right there in seconds. This took time and preparation! We got our food, and the turkey burger was surprisingly pretty good, all the nutrition facts are there so you can see how healthy or unhealthy each and every piece of food is there. As for the frisco burger? It tasted kinda like a burger you would get heated at a gas station. But the fries? Fresh, flavorful, not too salty, great. Sweet tea is extremely sweet, so if you love sweets, its for you! Hit or miss but overall this place is MUCH better than my past experiences with this place. I taste the improvement in the food. Their biscuit is the best. It has the crust. Hardees is my breakfast nook when I really need it.

If this location has a deal going on, you have to abide by their time. Clocks on the wall are 8 minutes slow, the slow drive thru lady says their registers are 8 minutes slow. So our time doesn't exist in their stores. Oh and they are very unprofessional. One star is a gift. Please hire better people to represent your location. The food was accurate and fresh, the reasoning for my one star review was the customer service I received, the employee was working the headset & drive thru so she was also handing out the food, her name tag read, "Maria". 2:34 pm my boyfriend and I decided to get Hardee's. They have a promotion going on for $1 more you can upgrade and get the $5 all star meal. He was ordering something and then said Can I change it for a $1 more to get the box? She let out a loud sigh and then changed it. She sounded extremely rude. You aren't supposed to treat a customer that way. I work in customer service as well and sometimes a customer has a drink that has 13 different modifications. That doesn't mean you treat them with disrespect. Ultimately, if I am coming to your store to buy a meal, I am giving you business. Which means you should treat me with respect. The way that lady spoke to us was just so uncalled for, I don't even want to go back. Oh and it gets better! We called the store as well and the woman who picked up the phone did not seem to care either. We called and explained what had happened and her exact words were "okay so I don't know what you're trying to tell me" I'm trying to tell you that your employee's need to treat their customers will full respect and the kindness that we all deserve. Only car @ drive through when we were asked to wait in drive thru spot for food. 45 minutes later our food was ready. Several cars went thru the drive thru during that time frame. Staff wasn't very sorry and seemed to have a victim attitude about the situation instead of owning it and making it better.
