The place is always busy, but they have such a smooth and efficient system that other locations need to learn from them. I've been twice recently and used the drive-thru. It looks a tad intimidating trying to navigate, but once you figure it out, it's not so bad. I'm always in and out in a few minutes. Their customer service is one of the best! Round of Applause for this chick-fil-a location!! I placed a last minute catering order in the middle of the night, to be ready for pick up by next morning..and chick-fil-a definitely came thru!! I specifically chose this location because I knew I would have a few errands nearby..so I took a chance. My order was packed neatly and followed instructions regarding organizing the different sauces. And my order was ready on time for pickup and the manager (?), graciously and singlehandedly brought out my entire order and placed it in my car...all with a smile. I made a quick stop in here to reward my pooch for a successful visit to the cardiologist nearby. They said he was the perfect patient, and his heart condition hasn't changed, yay! There were lots of cars in the drive thru at just past 10:40 am. I was planning to order from the app in the parking lot, but I didn't have enough money in my account. I went inside and ordered my nuggets and they were ready in a flash! The only glitch was getting my Yelp check in offer of a free cookie. The gal had never seen it, and was looking for a bar code. I hit redeem offer, and I lost it! Oh well, no biggie. My pooch and I enjoyed the nuggets and super friendly service, especially the sweet young man that offered me a blessed day. read more

This is only the second "not so great" review that I have written about a Chick-fil-A. Ironically, both experiences were at restaurants located in Laurel, MD. Sadly, this visit experience was quite possibly the worst experience I have had. The drive-thru was very long when I arrived and it was nearing 1030am. I was interested in ordering lunch, so I was happy when I got to the order window at 1029am, I figured I had made it just in time for the start of lunch. When the gentlemen greeted me I noticed that the menu was still listing the breakfast item, so I inquired if ordering lunch was an option. He told me that I could order lunch, but it would take 10 minutes....Now, Chick-fil-A chains are known for their speed, so I was surprised that a minute before lunch, it would take 10 minutes to get my order. When he informed me of this, I told him that I was simply going to get out of line. I planned to place my order through the app and go inside to retrieve it. He made no mention that there was no way for me to exit the line....so basically I was stuck. After about five minutes in the drive-thru line, I decided to just place the lunch order through the app, which I did and I informed the gentlemen at the window this. While he was pulling up my mobile order, which apparently he couldn't locate even after I clicked the "I am here" button in the app, I decided to ask why it would have taken 10 minutes to prepare a lunch order at 1029am. He informed me that was not true and pointed behind him to the gentlemen with the headset and asked "did he tell you that....I guess he didn't look at the clock". No apology, nothing. He just placed the responsibility at someone else's feet. After a few seconds of being unable to locate my mobile order, he opted to just take my order at the window. I gave him my card and then noticed when he asked me to pull to the side to wait for them to bring my order out to me, that I was charged twice! After seeing the double charge, I walked into the building to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was young and you could tell by the look on his face that he was intimated. Not really sure why, because I was not aggressive at all! Upset, yes.....aggressive, BIG NO! After explaining the entire story that I posted here, the only thing he offered was an "I'm sorry". I guess that was more than what the first guy offered me. After the in-store experience, I called corporate....which just further perturbed me. The lady on the phone was very impressionable and sounded like a robot. I ended that call and still felt unsettled by my experience! This location is less than ten minutes from my job and I am highly doubtful if I will EVER return. What should have been a quick lunch run turned into an entire ordeal!! It literally took a full hour from the moment I left the parking spot at my job to the moment I got back. Maybe this was just a one off situation....but if it wasn't, training is definitely needed for this young crew! read more

This chick fil a always has extremely friendly employees. Their food is also always delicious. They have a relatively easy to navigate parking lot and drive through system. We ordered carry out at 9:30 pm on a Tuesday 7/2/19. The place was not crowded, and we were able to order immediately. Our food was ready in 10 minutes. Service was prompt and friendly. Much better than the location on Tech Road in Silver Spring, which is extremely slow. Free entrees will be offered on 7/9/19 at all their restaurants until 7 pm for Cow Appreciation Day. What can I say but chick-Fil-a is always good. From breakfast to lunch & dinner we are always in the mood for this place. The shakes are the best ever- super thick and just perfect. I don't really like the fries but everyone else in my family does. They are waffle fries. We all prefer the fried chicken over the new healthy chicken. So weather you get the nuggets, tenders or the sandwich you will not be disappointed. I have also order the nuggets party tray several times for parties and they are always a big hit. Again, I tried to give this location a chance. They are the most inefficient Chick-fil-a I've ever been to. Please tell me why they don't use the speakers for ordering, when it's not a busy time of day? Instead, they have 2 kids standing in the drive-thru, talking to each other, and trying to take orders. It makes things so much slower. Also, I really struggle to understand the "touch less" aspect of handing you your order, that involves someone inside handing your order to the person at the window, them picking it up and putting it on a tray, then letting you pick it up off of the tray. So it goes through at least 2 hands before being handed to you on a tray. Honestly, I really am not concerned about how my order is handed to me. If I were that paranoid, I wouldn't eat out at all, but I would like to understand the logic behind this practice. Please get it together. read more

Out of all the Chick-fil-a's we've visited, John Hopkins may be consistently the most professional, courteous, and squeaky clean operation. Often patrons are treated to overhead Christian tunes and employees consistently ask to refill beverages or clean tables. The location also sponsors a Daddy-Daughter Date Night several times a year, which is a great way for dads to do something different and fun with their girls. I've been to this location a few times when I've traveled from my office in Columbia to my work sites in northern Virginia. The staff at this location is particularly friendly and fast service even when busy. One day when I was in office all day, I decided to drive to this location even though it is further than the Dobbins or Columbia Mall location. I've eaten here quite a few times and it has always been a good meal (as far as fast-food restaurants go). I like that the chicken options actually taste like chicken! The restaurant is always very clean, including the bathrooms, but it is always full. Good luck trying to go at lunch time on a weekday, since there are limited quick eating options in that area. They are always in a very good mood and seem genuinely happy to be there to the point where it makes me want to work there LOL. They have a very efficient system that seems to be working for them since customers can't come inside anymore due to Covid restrictions. Hands Down CHIC FIL A is THE Standard as far as fast foods go! I have been going to Chic Fil A for years. The food is consistently hot, fresh tasting, and relatively healthy. What sets this franchise apart is the high level of customer service! Im always met with a warm enthusiastic greeting, eye contact, and an effort to accommodate any reasonable request with a smile. The curbside service app is icing on the cake! Some days are extremely busy and my schedule is tight.
