Several calls and messages left since November to refill a prescription yet nobody ever turns a call, let alone actually answer the phone!!

My son has some fairly severe allergies that prevent him from being able to take most medication. When we learned it was necessary to take antibiotics, I was very anxious about finding something he wouldn't react to. My pediatrician recommended we try Wellness instead of CVS, so I stopped in. The staff here went so far above and beyond- working for practically 3 days trying to find a supplier that creates the medicine my son needs without certain ingredients. There were a few roadblocks and they kept trying again and again. They worked directly with our pediatrician, with me to confirm derivatives and with the pharmaceutical companies. I'm incredibly impressed- we've had to work around this allergy for about 4.5 years and have never had a pharmacist before who a) takes it seriously and b) works so hard to make it safe. I can't imagine it gets much better than this for pharmacies. For years I used a local chain store, who shall remain nameless, but their initials are "CVS". They routinely botched standard refills, mischarged, and were generally unpleasant and wasted my time. I found Wellness on Yelp, and life is good again. One Rx I have is quite expensive, and Cuong found a manufacturer's registration program that reduced the copay substantially. Similarly, with other maintenance meds he was able to significantly reduce the copay. And, my meds are auto-refilled, available when promised, and all with extremely pleasant concern and personalized attention. No more waiting on lines, having to come back to correct the pharmacy's mistakes, and being treated poorly. Absolutely a false assumption on my part that I needed to put up with the chain pharmacy because an independent would be much more costly and less convenient. read more

I love Cuong. He found a way to save me $200 a month for a medication for my son. After a month of going back and forth with my insurance and CVS and the doctor to get pre-authorizations, alternative medications, I was frustrated beyond belief. We still had no option but to pay $200 a month. My sons doctor recommended Wellness and Cuong. I called them having never been a patient before, but they were able to see that my son had Medi-Cal, which covered the medication 100%. They dealt with CVS with getting the prescription transferred and the medication arrived 2 days later to my house. It was the easiest thing ever. By the way, CVS has all of our information. They never suggested Medi-Cal as an option and furthermore when I asked them about it, they wanted me to go back to the doctor to fill out even more paperwork. I was beyond done. Long story even longer, learn from my mistakes and just go see Cuong. read more

This place is great. It's an independent pharmacy. He will fill your script while you're there, and it only takes a couple minutes. It's very clean and relaxing inside. It's so much better than Walgreens where they don't bother to fill in your phone order until you show up, and then you have a 20 minute wait and long lines. read more

Great customer service. They know how to process the manufacturers coupons so that I don't have to pay a fortune for my prescriptions. My other pharmacy can't seem to get that right and it's a hassle. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. My podiatrist faxed a prescription to this pharmacy, on June 25 around noon. I assumed the medication would be ready that day or the next day. When I didn't hear anything I phoned them and was told they would call me when the prescription was ready. Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since they received the prescription. I think its unconscionable that a medically related business would operate this way...NO phone call, no explanation, no medication. read more

Small town pharmacy with warm, personal, and efficient service. Unlike the bigger pharmacies in town where I felt like I was being held hostage in endless lines (only to inevitably find out something went wrong), I am always in and out within a few minutes. This is the best kept secret in town. My son's pediatrician told me this was his favorite pharmacy after I complained about endless hassles with Wallgreens. Wellness Pharmacy is the very best Pharmacy in the San Jose- Los Gatos Area. They are also a compound Pharmacy which is rare. They offer great customer service where I am not treated like a number..they remember me by name and greet me by it and a warm friendly smile when I walk in the door. The Wellness Pharmacy is so awesome! The staff there was so kind, thoughtful, and spent a lot of extra time with me explaining my specific prescription and how to use it with my baby (Nebulizer for asthma). It is a very professional, clean, and inviting environment, and I didn't have to wait long for my prescription. I normally use a different pharmacy but I am going to switch to the Wellness Pharmacy. I used Rite Aid for years and it was ok until I (got older and) began taking more medication, needed brand names, compounded medication, and meds that are time-sensitive. Rite Aid failed miserably in all of those areas. I found reviews here and decided to call Wellness Pharmacy and discuss some of my issues with Cuong. He was wonderful! He listened actively, and then came up with great answers/solutions to my issues - including ways to maximize my insurance coverage, knowing about coupons/discounts (and going online to print them for me, saving me lots of money), making sure I get my medication on time with no lapses in refills, mailing meds if I can't make it in to get them, and quality compounds - just to name a few.
