Being new to the area we were excited to find a new chinese restaurant to try. It was busy on a Saturday night with a bunch of takeout orders and a full dining room but service was still really prompt and never behind on refills. Waitress clearly explained the menu and how the combos worked and was more than patient with suggestions. The food itself was delicious! Hot and sour soup was delicious and the chicken egg roll is made in house. Our mains of almond chicken and general tso chicken were both piping hot and really flavorful. The restaurant offers plenty of booths and tables with a simple and clean environment! Can't wait to come back and try lunch. read more

I called around to a couple of Chinese restaurants in the area and decided to go here because she's not only was the customer service excellent, but I felt that they had the best combo meal deals! You get chicken lo mein and fried rice, plus egg roll and wonton with your main entree for dinner. Many places only offer plain lo mein for dinner combos and there's always an upcharge. I picked my food up. I tried both the lemon chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. Both were delicious. The chicken lo mein is so delicious and filling! And customer service in person was just as good as it is over the phone. This place is a hidden gem! I will go back and add images the next time. My kids and I have been coming to this restaurant since COVID. I have never gotten anything that wasn't spot on. The owner is the nicest lady and she always has a smile. She goes above and beyond. First of all they had a big back up in the kitchen and rather than prioritize the patrons dining in they told us the wait time to get our food would be an hour. I figured that we'd get the soup or something while we waited but we didn't. I saw them giving crunchy noodles to other tables but not to us. When the food arrived it was pretty awful. Soggy over-sauced Szechuan green beans, over-sauced mu shu that you don't even make the wraps yourself. Also if you're looking for authentic Chinese food this is not your place. I ordered carry out at this place. My order included just two orders of shrimp fried only. When I got home I realized that they gave me regular white rice instead of the shrimp fried rice I ordered. I immediately called the restaurant to make them aware of their mistake, and the person over the phone argued with me that I was wrong and that my order was correct because as she stated, she was the person who bagged up my order. I then had to drive all the way back there to show and prove to her that SHE indeed gave me plain white rice! She barely apologized for her mistake and did not acknowledge that she disagreed with me of their mistake over the phone when I called earlier. Love this place and order takeout regularly. I love their crispy orange chicken. I have too many favorites, so it's hard to decide what to get. I often order two meals, and it lasts me a couple of days. The chicken in black bean sauce is good. All of their beef dishes are great. Their lo mein is really great too. This is a new Chinese food place in the Santan Marketplace area. I tried it out based on a relatively high new rating that I saw. It is a nice restaurant with very excellent service and just average food. My first visit to Wei Wok in Gilbert was this Wednesday. I was interested in finding a good Chinese food eatery near my work. The restaurant is nice and spacious when you arrive. The tables and decor are new and you feel good about the cleanliness and atmosphere. The staff is very quick to greet you and seat you. They were really responsive, kind and efficient the whole visit. I ordered two dishes off of the lunch menu to try to get a sense of the food quality. These were the Pepper Beef and the San Shien. These were the lunch combos, which each came with a spring roll, crab puff and fried rice. The Pepper Beef was not that good, in my opinion, as it was a heavy syrup sauce rather than a drier, spiced dish that I expected. The sauce had a burnt taste, which isnt bad just something I don't like. The veggies were peppers that didn't work with the sauce. The San Shien was much better with a lighter, thinner white garlic sauce. It was highlighted by 3 meats- chicken, shrimp and beef, along with a selection of veggies from carrots, onions, legumes, and mushrooms. This was very good taste, although the chicken was so overcooked and soft it was almost mushy. The cost here was really good, and all dishes were reasonably priced. For me the food underperformed all other aspects of the experience, and I would have to choose carefully if I chose to return at all. With all the great other options available in Asian cuisine in the area, this is one to pass on unless you want to hunt the menu to find a winner. read more

Orange chicken is not deep fried. It is unique and a welcome change from what is generally seen. It was great the first 2-3 times we ate at Wei Wok, but too chewy the last couple of times and we weren't pleased. But we'll give it another try as the young lady who manages the dining room (or the entire restaurant, for all I know) is very sharp and quality conscious. read more

My wife and I eat here about once a month and the food is always spot on. The dinner combo is great, it comes with choose of soup, a veggie roll and two crab rangoon, fried rice, lo mein with your entree. But there service and attention to detail is nice because I ordered take out and put in the notes I would like a third crab puff instead of a spring roll and they did it. Tried WW tonight. The service was nice, but overall we were underwhelmed with the food. We started with some crab wontons (yummy ), and potstickers (meh ok). The potstickers tasted like the Ling Ling ones we buy frozen at Costco... For entrees we tried the roasted duck (half-portion) which was good but not amazing. Would be better if it was crispy and not so...soggy. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but certainly not near the best Chinese duck I've had. The Lo Mein with beef was quite mediocre. Somewhat bland. The beef itself was tasty but the dish could use some work. I think that WW could improve in the following ways: have a sign in the entrance that says "Seat Yourself" instead of yelling at each person who walks in the door to take a table, have some chopsticks at the tables (this is a Chinese restaurant after all), have some chili oil at the tables (this would have helped with the lo mein), and for the love it's 2018 restaurants should all have online menus in Yelp! Wasn't impressed enough to return. I'll keep getting my Chinese at places around the Mekong supermarket in Mesa. read more

We ordered through a delivery service which I always feel is harder to customize through but I called the restaurant ahead and asked if I put it in the notes would that work. They made it exactly to order and it was the best! Great portion sizes for leftovers too! No fat on the pork, it was better than I hoped for! I love that they offer a combo here so I can have rice AND noodles, plus a spring roll and wontons. The flavors are so good! I can't wait to come experience eating at the restaurant! The portion sizes are large...larger than it looks in the pictures. Been wanting to try this place for a long time. Staff is a little barebones as expected for a family run (sounded Cantonese?) place. Food: Hot and Sour soup (large bowl): a little too much soy sauce and not spicy enough, but greatly improved by diluting 1/4 glass of water to large bowl and adding 2 scoops of chili oil (I added 3). Easily "fixed" so still good. Half roast duck: It's more like Singaporean duck rice rather than Peking Duck especially with the (giant) steamer of rice that accompanies. Good flavor, and sauce is good poured on rice. But as the duck is sitting in the (not very thick) sauce, it made the duck skin lose some crispiness.
