Wednesday is our typical weekly happy hour night. Since our Wednesday party crew bailed I left it up to my husband to find some kind of Asian spot for drinks and dinner. I've been wanting to try this place since it changed names so he picked it. Came in about 6pm and asked what the happy hour specials are to learn there is zero alcohol served, bummer. But we stayed to try the food. I ordered the szechuan chicken combo and he ordered the hot and sour seafood soup. It took longer than most places to get our food which was surprising because we were the only people in the place besides two other couples. We did see a lot of take out going The chicken was really good but the rice and lo mein were blah. My husband was surprised how much he liked the soup. It was perfectly spicy, he didn't even add siracha which is unusual for him and there were huge chunks of crab along with scallops and baby shrimp. He said it was really good. The hot tea came in a coffee cup with a tea bag floating in it which was not typical but ok. Thru the door came many people picking up to go orders. It was a rainy Monday night Andy I had a craving for some basic Chinese takeout. I ordered the chicken egg roll, lo mein, and fried rice. Portions were huge! I ordered all of that for me but I'm pretty sure it'll last 3 more meals at least. I'd recommend the egg roll and lo mein which were standard good. Stopped in for a quick lunch and Chinese sounded good. The orange chicken was really good! Lightly breaded, not fatty, and the sauce was really flavorful. Huge portions and great food!! I tried Wei Wok for the first time the other evening and left happy and full :) I went for the orange chicken as the picture on yelp are what got me interested in enough to stop by. As I mentioned, portions are huge!! The dinner special comes with soup, a spring roll, crab puff, chow mein, rice, and the entree. Plus, upgrading to the meal is only $1! Portion sizes were also impressive; I easily had enough for two meals. Overall, everything tasted great! The orange chicken was hot and saucy and all the sides went perfectly with it. You aren't going to find a better deal in town. The food is delicious, the portion sizes are great, and the prices are LOW! You can easily have dinner for two here with plenty of leftovers to take home for less than $25. I highly suggest the boiled wontons with the spicy peanut sauce as an appetizer. You get 6 of them in a large bowl. It's kinda like a soup almost. The sauce/ broth is absolutely AMAZING. I wish they would use it for a chicken dish. The service is always great, and the woman who works there (maybe the owner?) is the sweetest woman in the world. It's really hard to find anything negative to say about this place. I got the house chicken and it was delicious! The service was great! I stayed here for an hour because I was waiting for my tires to get changed down the street. They checked on me and made sure I was good the entire time I was here. The food style is very good and the chicken is very fresh. I love the flavor and the food layout. They don't use frozen pre made chicken balls that most Chinese restaurants use. Here they seem to use a tenderized chicken thigh or Brest. Very very good! read more

Very pleased with the food. Quick and fresh. We had the dinner selection. Started off with wonton soup, spring roll, crab puff, dumpling, and shrimp. Then we had a choice of 8 entrees. We chose sweet sour chicken and chicken with vegetables and fried rice. I am very happy with the food. Flavorful. And lots of it. Our selection could have fed Five people. Wait staff was great. Everyone needs to go here! We were out shopping and missed lunch so saw Wei Wok across the parking lot and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! It was late afternoon so after the lunch rush and before dinner so we got right in without a wait. Lets start with the menu. It is typical in the fact that it is divided by pork, chicken, seafood and vegetarian. What is cool though is the dinner menu gives you 2 options: the regular plate or family style. In most instances family style was only $1 more than the standard plate but with 3 or 4 different appetizers and rice options to select. We decided we couldn't handle all the food so got the standard dinner plate-although my friend was kicking himself for not trying it all! Wow the amount of food was still incredible. He got the orange chicken and I got the tofu and vegetables. His first remark about the chicken was it was in big pieces and not the little nugget pieces you usually see in orange chicken. Prior to me ordering I grilled the server on what was actually vegetarian/vegan. She knew every dish, what was in it and what I could or could not eat. Most servers don't know what is in the sauces or soup stocks so her knowledge of the menu was very impressive. Both our meals were excellent as was their service. We are telling everyone we come across to go to Gilbert and eat at Wei Wok! You will not be disappointed! And yes, this place will be in our regular rotation now! read more

Food is so good here! Best one is the salt and pepper pork and chow fun but if you're looking something with sauce, I recommend the orange beef (or whichever meat is your preferences). When you step in, the owner makes you feel welcome and part of family, always so bubbly. read more

We came to Gilbert to check on our daughter's dogs, and then decided to grab some Chinese food. Saw that his was close by, and the reviews looked good, so why not. So happy we came! I have some favorite Asian places closer to home, and some go-to places in Phoenix. Now we have a favorite in Gilbert. It's definitely worth the drive. Why? Well, other reviewers have said the orange chicken is great, and my wife agrees. I got Mongolian beef; I've never had any better than this. We both got the remarkably inexpensive dinner combos that came with delicious lo mein and rice (rice is rice), and added a cup of soup. My wife loved the egg flower soup; I loved the hot and sour soup (I also loved the two spoonsful of her egg flower, too.) Crab puffs were the best I can remember, ever. Great spring rolls, too. Since Wei Wok did a great job on these standards, I'm sure they do great on their other dishes as well. We'll be back -- soon. read more
