Waitress was overwhelmed. That happens. Nothing came out right. The appetizer didn't come out until we mentioned it as the main food came out, then it didn't have the sauce. Took two tries to get the sauce. My sliders had zero seasoning and the fries were luke-warm, brown and limp - nothing like the ones I saw around us. My wife ordered her tacos with the sauce on the side, they came doused in sauce. She ate one, then asked for the remaining one to be re-done with the sauce on the side. A VERY long time later, they brought another full order. By that time, we were done and asked for it "to-go." After waiting a LONG time for our check, we looked in the to-go box and realized that there was NO sauce on the side. ...another long wait. Waitress explained that the owner was adjusting the charges which was why it was taking so long. We said "she needs to come over and talk with us," but she did not. The tacos were discounted, but really should have been comp'd. That isn't why I'm complaining, though. We were very frequent customers at their previous restaurant and drove quite a distance to try this one. We will try one more time, but it won't be for awhile. Kitchen needs to get with it. They need kitchen staff who actually knows how to prepare prime rib. If it's going to be on the menu, you'd better know something about cooking it. Also, the service is not up to par. We used to love this place, Idk what happened in the last couple years but it has really gone downhill. We went for fried fish tonight since they have 3 different kinds on the menu, 20 mins after ordering the manager came to let us know that they are out of flour and cannot fry our food. Flour, seriously? There is a dollar general 1 min away, how can you be out of something so easy to get? Laziness.... also the menus were so disgusting we almost didnt order, they were sticky and the drink menu had an actual hair oiled to it. So nasty, the server told us they were so dirty because the manager the night before didnt clean them. Look like they hadn't been ed cleaned in months. I managed a restaurant for 20 years, if you run out of something as simple as flour, you go get it. If this is new owners they have completely ruined this place. On vacation and decided to try this place. Disappointed with the food service here. I wasn't looking for a 5 star meal, but I was expecting my food to be edible. -Fries were cold and soggy, unseasoned in any way. -Chicken on grilled chicken salad was dry like an overcooked pork chop (only comparable thing lol) looked like it was overcooked and set out overnight. -salad came with zero dressing when requested Only positive was the portion sizes. The food was really good! I had the Cowboy Burger. It was really good! It does have three buns so it's kinda tall. My wife had the grilled chicken BLT wrap. She especially liked the chicken in the wrap. The Long Island iced tea I order was great. It was heavy on the liquor, which I like, but still had a good taste. The waitress checked on us frequently and was very helpful and informative. The restaurant was a little loud, which isn't always a bad thing. There was a modern style juke box. read more

Across the street from the water. Food is delicious. Busy place. Friendly to locals and visitors. Pork Tenderloin sandwich is unique as they fold it over. Was good, but definitely different. I came upon this place while trying to find a new joint to go to...Was not disappointed. First time I had steak tacos...They were okay. Being from Chicago, it's hard to top steak tacos from there. Husbo and son shared the pork sandwich and steak sandwich. They both LOVED their choice....so much so that when we went back they got the same thing. I got the grilled chicken salad the next time and it was super duper good. Our waitress both times, was really great and super attentive. I hate to see these one star reviews as we have had a pleasant experience both times. We'll definitely be back as the location is great and the menu has lots of items on it. Only complaint so far was the live music they had on Sunday evening was SOOOOOO incredibly loud we had to sit outside. read more

Went for Mothers Day and it was beautiful. The deck was open and we had some great Mojitos, bloody Mary's and the kids enjoyed the lemon aid. I had the perch which was not greasy and had a very nice coating. The burgers and Philly cheese steak were completely devoured so they must have been great! We took our three teens with us and they loved the food. The waitress is worth mentioning too, because she was polite, thorough and a wonderful host. We have just moved to area and have been to restaurant once, takeout twice. Service is great, server was awesome. It was busy so we were able to get a reservation calling ahead. Grilled chicken Cesar salad is my go-to! It is delicious, although just one time on take-out they drenched it w dressing. Finally got the chance to go here for Wednesday night prime rib. The salad arrived with a tiny container of dressing - no waitress to be found - ate a few bites before running out of dressing. Prime rib was brought out and immediately you knew this was NOT the prime rib in the photograph that they advertise. This appeared to be a piece of meat cooked on a grill top? No knife was given and we were trying to cut with a butter knife - impossible. Finally got a waitress to bring knives and she was puzzled that we didn't have any. The green beans were soggy and did not eat. Mashed potatoes - nothing to brag about. The prime rib - my husband ate a total of two bites - his medium was well done. I ordered medium rare - i have posted pictures so you can see what they advertise verses what you are served. I was very excited for this dinner and left very disappointed. The winner? We had meant to stop here for a while...but we were nearby on New Year's Eve without dinner plans and thought we'd give it a try. The staff was very nice and asked if we had a reservation...but was able to seat us. It shortly became obvious about the reservation as the place filled quickly. Service was amazing... Friendly, prompt, and helpful. We had the bad Bing shrimp as an appetizer...great flavor and a nice presentation. I ordered the steak bites...delicious, but they were a special...so they may not be available. My #1 ordered the perch basket...which was delicious. Batter was light not greasy, we substituted truffle fries for regular.... Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we are kicking ourselves for taking so long to get here. read more

My husband and I brought my grandmother here for lunch and it was lovely. Waitress was kind and accommodating, drinks were yummy and the food was served hot and delicious! A few days later, we decided to go try the fish fry with my parents. Knowing that it would be slammed, we were prepared for a wait. But we walked in, and stood awkwardly for about 30 minutes. Not a single worker acknowledged us. I assumed it was seat yourself because there was no host to make it seem otherwise. I noticed a few empty tables that needed to be bussed, but after assuming that it was seat yourself, I walked up to one and started moving the cups and dirty plates to the side of the table so that we could at least have a place to sit so we weren't continuing to stand right on top of the tables. A waitress came and said "ma'am, I've got it" and started to clear the tables. I was thinking that we were going to finally be able to sit down, but then she put a note on the table that said "reserved". STILL not acknowledging that we had been standing and waiting for a long time without any sort of communication. I'm confused at a few things. 1) I did not think that this restaurant took reservations and 2) why on earth is there no hostess when the restaurant gets THIS busy? read more

Better with the new owners and new name and better food. Nice they also have music. Food was very good and wouldn't mind trying a few more things on the menu. A lot of choices. Only one down fall on my visit was my girlfriend received a dirty glass with someone else's lipstick prints but that happens at places. They immediately fixed the problem. We found this spot literally across the street from the Airbnb we were staying at for the weekend. We met both owners, who were beyond awesome and welcoming! The food was better than "bar food" and the atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. Live music on the weekends was the perfect touch, we appreciated having something so close to walk to! read more

This place recently opened after purchasing the former Hide A Way. I have heard mixed reviews. They are always busy which is great. I tried this place last week and was NOT impressed. Way over priced for what you get. I ended up getting boneless wing the special that day. I was servered half full cup of sauce (on the side) and dry egg size nuggets of crunchie batter with a little chicken in the center. I didn't ask for dry wings but looks like they don't serve or know wing should have sauce on them. They brought bone in to my friend and I that both ordered boneles. We split at basket of meh fries while we waited for our correct order. My friend got the same half cup size of sauce on the side for her batter balls. Another friend ordered a $7 tater tot tacho like item. It was NOT worth $7. I work at a bar pub and for $6 you get an order of tachos that a single person rarely finishes. Also, her order got cold waiting for the server to show so she could get a fork The bigget disappointment was another friend ordered a grilled chicken salad. It was a lot of iceberg lettuce with very little "goodies". While eating it she found a very large plastic piece in the salad. She took it up to the bar (because service was very unattentive and it was 10 plus minutes between ordering drinks and getting them). The person my friend spoke to at the bar said "oh its just the wrapper from the cucumbers". And didn't offer to do anything. Until my friend dead panned stared and then was asked if she wanted another salad. She said "no thank you". She wasn't given a sorry about that, an oh my gosh let me fix it nothing other than the you shouldn't be upset its a cucumber wrapper. My friend just came back to the table. A few minutes later the same person came over and offered to comp her half eaten salad with a giant plastic piece. The servers seem to be very very young and inexperienced. Every time we asked for something or ordered we never knew what we were going to get (she didn't write anything down and then would come back and ask what you ordered). I don't write all my orders as a server but I also know my ability. I wish them luck but I will not be spending the same time or nearly as much money on food as I did before the new owners. On a positive note it looks nice inside. A little cold feeling but fresh and clean. Must ask why is the papwrtowel dispenser so high (almost ceiling mounted) in the bathroom? read more

We decided to try Wegners because we were looking for a place with live music close to home with some good food. The waitress was great. She was hustling to take care of the entire dining room and never left us without an empty drink. We had the truffle fries, some fish and shrimp tacos and the sliders. The food came out very quickly, and the portions were very big and the price was great for everything we got. It's your typical small town bar and grill, nothing fancy, but just what we were looking for. Definitely can't wait for warmer weather to try out their patio. read more
