Very unprofessional scheduled a move with 2 business and they flaked out making our company look bad. All broken promises be aware

So my wife scheduled a couple of weeks in advance, for Dan and his partner to come on a Thursday for a move out. We had planned to move out and spend the weekend cleaning. We got a text at 430am claiming he had a virus (during covid-19 quarantine). Of course I do not want to be open for infection, however I couldn't help it be a little skeptical. I called later asking to schedule a move, just to see if they would schedule which Dan answered, and was ready to schedule me a couple of days after canceling us on the morning of the move. I do not know how professional he is in the moving process, but I know either a) he was canceling because he had a better option or b) he does have an infection and continued to expose others. We recently had to vacate our home of six years, and put the bulk of our things in storage. Mitigating circumstances made the process stressful. Dan managed to be super efficient, as well as a calming presence. It meant a lot to me, as I immediately felt reassured, and that I'd secured the right person for the job. We'd used several movers beforehand, with mixed results, and Dan ended up being the last company we hired or needed. He conscientiously assessed our needs over the phone, and accurately determined the size of the crew required. We found him flexible, humble, and the pricing fair. VERY satisfied with everything about our transaction. One last thing: I was dealing with an unstable housemate who became confrontational as our exit neared. They even tried to intimidate him and said he couldn't park in front of the house, despite my notifying them when he would be there. He handled it with a Zen like grace, effortlessly deescalating the unwarranted drama in a soft spoken manner. And then shared a keen insight as to why they were behaving that way. This impressed me all the more. When the time comes, I look forward to working with him again. read more

We were in a pinch to have a bookcase picked up and delivered as the after effects of Covid madness linger on in terms of delivery of goods. Trying to find a delivery/moving vendor can be daunting. I used Dan Barcza, We Haul Supermove, for the second time within a month. He was always on time, texted me before he arrived, and did a great job hauling away the furniture and junk I wanted to get rid of. I would definitely use him again if I needed more things removed. read more

Sorry to hear about other people's bad experiences but I used them this morning to move a murphy bed I bought off of Craigslist and they were on time and professional. I paid them a little more to disassemble then re-install the bed. (SO glad they were able to do that!!! If you know what a murphy/wall bed is you know how much of a pain it is to assemble.) Dan was responsive - he always called and texted me back right away. He and his partner arrived on time and got the job done efficiently. They were courteous and took care of the murphy bed (even though the framing is made out of junkie pressboard material). I will definitely use them again for labor intensive jobs/moves! read more

I just hired Dan and his partner, Kainoa, to help my wife and I move and it was a great decision. It was probably the quickest, easiest move of my life. The negative reviews here are surprising because I have nothing but praise for these guys. Maybe things have improved recently, not sure. Dan now owns this company after his father passed, he told me. I thought he handled everything quickly and professionally. Pro tip: My wife has a good way to label boxes for moving. Start by assigning a number to every room in the new house, write the corresponding number on the boxes as you pack them, then post a sign at the front door that lists the numbers of each room and also post a sign each room with its number. For example, if the living room is the first room through the door, label it 1 and write 1 on all of the boxes that go to the living room, and so on. Helps strangers put your boxes where you want them. In sum, Dan and WeHaul Supermovers are great. read more

We hired a truck and two guys from We Haul-Supermove for our move from Waialae Iki to Mānoa last month. They were highly professional. I give them my highest review. In particular, their positive, can-do attitude was refreshing in facing our steep driveway. I would definitely recommend them (5 stars) to anyone! read more

Oh where to began! Our realtor recommended George the mover to us and so I called a week before our preferred move date and the lady on the phone was pleasant and said that based on the size of our place it would take about 4-5 hours for 2 movers at $90/hour. I thought that seemed reasonable, so I went ahead and scheduled it. I told her over the phone that I planned to box up some things myself but would have the movers box up the rest, like the kitchen, because I didn't want to box it up wrong and have things break. She asked me what the heaviest item was and I told her. That was the extent of our conversation. So fast forward to moving day, the movers came about 15-20 min late. I will say, that the lady from the office called and told me they would be there in 20 minutes so that was fine with me. The 2 guys did a walk through of the place when they arrived. While up in the office, I told them I could pack up some more items if they wanted and they said sure....in hindsight that should have tipped me off. I told him that I'd have them box up the kitchen and he agreed. Keep in mind, they saw all the items that weren't boxed up and didn't say anything up front about it. About 3-4 hours into the move, the guy (Dan) said they'd have to do a second load and I agreed thinking it couldn't take that much longer. So while unpacking the first load at the new house, I offered to go get them lunch and he said they'd stop for 5 min on the way back and get it. This was actually closer to 20-30 min. It was when they came back for the second load and I asked him about packing up the kitchen that he looked at me like I was crazy and said maybe he had a few boxes in the truck. I thought that was odd but followed him and he proceeded to tape up the 2 boxes he had and show me how to box up the kitchen. I asked them if they usually brought boxes and they said only for a 'pack and move'. That's when I realized....almost 6 hours into the move, that they weren't going to pack anything! The second load was already halfway filled up and they were onto the garage, which was completely not packed up, and they were moving item.....by......item which was taking forever! I apologized to them because I had no idea that I was suppose to pack everything! But in hindsight, I was never told that and I even told the lady on the phone that I only had some things boxed up. And, if they had told me when they first arrived, I could have gotten more boxes, called friends, and packed up more stuff while they moved the big furniture items. But no, it was too late for that. The guy told me they left a few misc items upstairs....(I later found out it was WAY more than a few items). So we get to the house with the second load and I notice one of the guys talking on his phone, moving slowly. I began to unload things myself. (I was doing this move alone because my husband was deployed.) So 9 hours later and close to $900 dollars later, they finished. And to top it all off, we still had half of our things at the old house because they didn't pack those up! I had to spend all day Sunday in the rain bringing the rest of the items over! I expressed to the office when they called for me to pay the money that I felt the communication was sorely lacking and having not moved myself before, I was unaware that I needed to request packing. And that it wasent explained to me over the phone at all. I even told them when I booked that appointment that I DID NOT HAVE EVERYTHING PACKED UP! The woman on the phone gave me a completely insincere apology and was curt and annoyed sounding with me. Ugh. I feel like I was completely taken advantage of because I was by myself. Totally unacceptable and I would not want anyone to go through the same ordeal. It was horrible. On a follow up note. Our realtor followed up with the company after I told him what happened. He was shocked because he'd been recommending new home owners to this company for years and had never had this happen. The owner apparently was in the hospital and the son took over. This could explain why service was not up to par. Our realtor eventually spoke with the original owner who said he would follow up but never did.... This was over month ago. read more

This moving company has some of the best rates around. I called LOTS of moving companies and most were trying to over charge me. The movers were on time, and did a great job. Yes, i see the 2 negative reviews on here. With this type of business, there will be times when they may be a bit late. Also, I don't underatand why someone has to write a whole "book" of negativity and insults and on a simple misunderstanding. This company was awesome with me, so I do recommend them! read more

Love these guys! We've gone through them for three moves now since 2011 (we move often, unfortunately) and every time these guys are consistently efficient, affordable, professional, and they take really good care of our stuff. Also, the manager (Dan) remembered us even though it was more than a year later. He knew how touchy we are with our paintings, records and many many boxes of books. I would recommend these guys to anyone.. They show up on time, do a good job for cheap, and they're just really nice guys. read more

On June 17 these movers were over 1 hour late for a scheduled appointment. Although the owner was informed about 6 stairs at the origin, the driver claimed he did not know about them. The driver also claimed he thought the delivery location was Manoa which is wrong. It was actually Nuuanu, not much further than Manoa, but I think this is part of the scam. At a minimum there is poor communication there. After moving the piano away from the wall, the mover decided that they wanted to extract extra cash out of us by raising the price 30%. I refused and he left the piano without moving it back against the wall (I asked),leaving me (with an injured knee) and a small high school girl to move the piano back against the wall. He also called the owner, and his story changed again, saying it was the turn they would have to make out the door. This whole situation cost us a lot of wait time, disappointment for my young son and a waste of my father's day. I also see they are advertising under "emergency moves" and seem to have a fake customer review link on their site. read more

DO NOT use this company. The night before the move date, I called them to confirm. The owner (Gyorgy) said he was just about to call me to tell me they would be three hours late for my scheduled move. I didn't make a big deal about it because I understand stuff happens. The morning of the move, I get a call from Dan (the manager of the company) to tell me they were on their way....oh by the way he causally says to me...."The move will cost you $400 dollars, cash only." I asked him to repeat himself because I was originally quoted $85 per hour (which I calculated to only take 2-3 hours) Dan says because the moving services are for a business, the $400 flat rate applies. I told Dan, both him and Gyorgy made no mention of the increase rate last night and any of the previous phone calls and Gyorgy knew it was a business related move from the first conversation and he still quoted me $85 per hour. Dan proceeded to press me on the increased rate of $400. I supposed Dan thought I didn't have other resources to call and that I may have been under pressure to move my equipment. He may have pulled this stunt on someone else but not on my watch. I called a more reliable company and they were able to move my stuff an hour later...I won't mention the company here as I don't want to cross contaminate a good business from a bad one. This company is unprofessional, unreliable and unfit to have any sort of dealing in the moving industry. They were referred to me by "Johnny the Mover" so I would also caution against that company as birds of the same feather, flock together. They sometime park their moving truck on Hawaii Kai Drive so do yourself a favor and ignore them. As you can see from the other review by "Dave K." There is a ratings trend. My gripe is the 11th hour price change. If they would have mentioned it from the very beginning, no problem. As a matter of fact, the movers I hired cost me about the same after tip. But you know what? It's okay because they were worth every dollar for being professional, prompt and upfront. read more

All I had was one item that needed to move. A double bathroom vanity. From Pali to Kapolei. I set up the time and confirmed the time with the company for 10am pick up. After 15 minutes no show. I called and left a message and again at 30 minutes pass and no answer and left message. The owner of the vanity I was purchasing from was getting frustrated and I apologies for the movers not responsive. So I lost the deal to purchase the vanity. I apologize and I left. Finally I get a phone call from Dan around 1050am. We just finished our first job and I told him our appointment was for 10am. I lost the deal on the vanity and your service is no longer required. When I got home i emailed Georgy barcza how disappointed I am in your company. I have not received a response I guess my emergency didn't turn out to be an emergency to this company. I had the worst experience anyone could ask for from a moving company! I booked Dan Barcza over a week before my scheduled move of my home. I informed him that I had a 2 bedroom townhouse. He quoted me a price and a time estimate of 5-6 hours. We confirmed the morning of my move. He was 20 minutes late but that was just the beginning of my nightmare. He then did a walk through of my place and stated that this was much more than a 2 bedroom. I assured him we weren't hiding more rooms. He then informed me that he would need 3-4 guys, not just the one that he brought with him, it would take 3 trips and 10 hours. He then wondered why I never mentioned to him that I had a piano. I responded that he never asked. He told me it would be an additional $350. I reminded him about his quote over the phone. He then told me that he couldn't do the move, gave me a scribbled number of some guy and then left me, my family, my entire packed house high and dry with no movers. This was more than unprofessional, it was detrimental. I can't believe that a "reputable" company with an A+ rating from BBB could do this to a paying customer. A customer that works for a company that hires him frequently. This was so hurtful to me and my entire family who had to move on that day. read more
