So I came here for Downtown Dining week recently and I really appreciated the space design. The food itself was underwhelming, however. The burger wasn't anything special and the Cajun tater tots were over-seasoned to the point of being nearly inedible (and that's an accomplishment given that the tater tots were otherwise pretty decent). I did really like the pretzel bites with cheese sauce but afterward I felt kinda gross because of the sheer amount of grease I had consumed. So I don't think I'd recommend this place on the whole -- I mean it wasn't bad so to speak and the service was pretty decent, but there simply are other better options in downtown Edmonton if I am going to go out to eat. read more

Stopped in for lunch while on vacation in Edmonton - Great prices, awesome menu, wonderful service! The restaurant is nicely decorated, very clean. The food was delicious - I ordered the rodeo burger (added lettuce and tomato) with a side of the housemade Cajun chips (they're similar to BP's cactus cut chips, I really liked them!) There have been so many great burger joints popping up over the last few years, it's hard to keep track of all of them. I've heard rave reviews of this spot from many others, and have been wanting to try their burgers for some time. It was worth the wait! I ordered the Wayback Classic (2 patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion), chilli cheese fries and an Oreo mint milk shake. The burger was delicious...the patties were high quality, juicy and well seasoned. The bun was soft and moist too. The chilli cheese fries were super tasty and perfectly greasy. The milk shake was so thick you can turn it upside down. Definitely worth checking out. read more

First of all my wife and I really didn't want to drive today so this review is based on ordering through Uber Eats. That being said their food travelled surprising well. Meal was warm chips and fries surprisingly still had some crunch. The Double Bacon Burger was very good, a little mustard forward for my taste but knowing that now I can adjust next time I order. The Irish Nachos were delicious, definitely ordering again. My wife liked her Cheesesteak, I tried a little and found the meat delicious but could have used more cheese and onions, it's a cheesesteak sandwich we shouldn't be searching for the cheese. I ordered the "build your own" burger - I always appreciate that option at a burger joint, because I am very particular if not somewhat of a minimalist. My burger arrived with my specified toppings of grilled onions, pickles, mushrooms, and mayo. It tasted great, and I especially appreciated the fluffy bun. My side was tots, and they were very average. In reading reviews here, I think I should have gone for the chips instead, which I will do next time. My chocolate shake is substantial and very cold and sweet, as it should be. read more

skimpiest burgers on the market, jr discount burgers are the same size. toppings are truly the discount market, for example mushrooms are canned mushrooms and you get total of 3 added. Cheese is about the size you would find in your kids lunch snack. Staff are confused on how to make and take orders, items missed. Shakes are thick and made to order but syrup flavours are way off. $41 for 2 people, could have had more food and quality off the value meal menu from the Golden Arches. Five Guys, Burger King and others have nothing to worry about this this terrible idea of a burger place. read more

We ate at the Wayback Burger in West Point Edmonton. The food looks nothing like the menu, we received a double burger. The patties were so flat. There is more bun than food, including the vegetables that were on the burger. Three of us had a combo, including tip it was a $70 bill. Very disappointing read more

I've been to Wayback Burgers on Jasper several times in the last year. It is my go-to place for a quality "fast food" meal. Burgers -- Excellent. Fries -- perfect! Hot dog -- A+ -- The best I've ever had. The large choice of sides that come *free* with your main item, plus the good quality, makes for very good value. Service is always fast, friendly, and attentive -- including when it's getting busy -- weekdays or weekend. This is just as much a "plus" as the good food. Ambiance is generally good. Quite clean. Nice decor; several screens with sports broadcasts showing (no sound, which is fine.) My only complaint would be that the music playing in the restaurant is always a bit too loud for my taste (Perhaps younger people don't mind it much.) It's a bit better on the weekend, with a 'softer', jazzier station tuned in, and a bit less volume. read more

My son and I were in last evening. He had a spicy chicken sandwich. I had the Garden burger. We both had cajun chips and shared the macaroni and cheese bites. We both loved our sandwiches however mine fell apart easily due to a bit too much mayo. Tasted great though. The bites were great as well and the chip were delicious. I ordered the double bacon cheese burger and "home style chips". Burger was good with lots of options. Had good flavour. The chips were actually chips lol. I was hoping by them calling them chips it would have been home made fries. But the chips were still good. Milk shake was great too. Definitely wanna go in when lock downs done and get a burger there to see how well they put it together without having to pack it up and send out. But we enjoyed. The one star has nothing to do with the food, honestly I have ordered from here a few times and have never had any issues! My one star comes from the customer service. I went last week in the evening and ordered to go. The person working the front counter was a bit cold. When he told me my total, he hit the tip option without even giving me the option. At first I thought I may have saw that wrong, but in fact he did. I asked him why the amount was more than he told me and he stated it was from the tip, which again I did not add on. I told him I did not add a tip, so he then re did the transaction. My only concern is how many other people he may do this too without them noticing. Anyone going, just be careful. read more

This Place is really good! The chips were seasoned really well, and perfectly crispy. the burger itself had lots of flavour, and was juicy. The milkshake is super good, especially with the bits of banana mixed in. I give it 4/5 stars, my only gripe is getting it delivered, and it was just wrapped in paper, which loses lots of heat.
