My daughter Moonee had a rough morning after a difficult conversation with an older sibling, so I did what mothers do -- I comforted her with a heartfelt talk & embrace & decided to return home after grabbing Her favorite: a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant to put something in her lil' tummy (despite arriving at her school when the convo transpired). Simple medicine. Brittany made the entire experience seamless. Her kindness landed first, her timing followed close behind. She let us know about the $5 deal -- the best option -- which includes a hash brown and coffee of any size. That alone was thoughtful, but what really stood out was her presence. When I asked another associate about which cup to use, I was given conflicting information about needing to purchase at the kiosk. Just as confusion crept in and I wondered where Brittany had gone, she appeared -- right beside me -- calmly redirecting me to the correct cups near the slushy station. No attitude. No impatience. Just clarity and care. That kind of attentiveness matters, especially on mornings when hearts are heavy. Brittany didn't just provide customer service -- she provided steadiness by even making accommodations to help me to my vehicle (noticing my cane; & discomfort in my gait and face from standing. We stopped in for gas and used the app to order our first Wawa hamburger. We had plenty of options to customize the hamburger and chose to add Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, garlic aioli, mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato. Wow! They were able to get the hamburger built quickly. The bun was fresh, the burger was juicy, the onions were perfectly caramelized and added to the overall flavor. The mayonnaise and garlic aioli were the perfect finishing touch. Service is always friendly and quick. The convenience store offers a huge variety of chips, multiple drink options, plus myriad other offerings. They offer some seating outside but we chose to take our hamburger home. Unfortunately, the hamburgers are only available after 4 so we will have to wait until after 4 for another hamburger. read more

Until I asked the employee and she said they were out of chocolate, which is why the frozen mocha wasn't on the menu. Not their fault they just sell so much goodies that they run out. When my granddaughter mentioned Christmas, Julia even took the extra step to ask if we knew about the NORAD Santa Tracker, which made the interaction especially memorable and thoughtful. Julia was quick, efficient, and highly competent at her job, but what truly stood out were her soft skills. She balanced speed and accuracy while remaining personable, upbeat, and fully engaged. Ordered the Turkey hoagie with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo and a plain cheeseburger. By far the worst Wawa I've ever ordered from as you can see from the picture. There is no lettuce and one piece of tomato that I had to take off because it had the hard core in it. The cheeseburger was cold! Having visited Wawa's when my eldest lived in NJ, I was quite happy to see them moving into Florida. They are always clean, well lit, and staff is friendly. Believe it or not, they have really good lunches as well! One of my favorites is their spicy Italian Panini. salami and ham topped with cheese and a cherry pepper relish, on a perfectly toasted panini bread. it is so good! My teen likes to make her own hoagie with a variety of meats and cheeses. Nice that they have so many options. Another favorite here is their chai tea. I never thought I liked chai tea until I had their seasonal pumpkin one (could they PLEASE have it year round?!). Freshly made to order and so tasty! This is probably the 4th or 5th Wawa I've visited in Jacksonville since they started building in the area. This location is just as impressive as the other locations and the gas prices are very competitive. I stopped here on my way to Gainesville and gassed up my truck. The service is super friendly and I love the size of the actual store. So spacious inside offering an extensive amount of food, beverages and snacks for any long road trip. We frequently visit WaWa for a quick lunch. When my sister first told me that WaWa had great sandwiches I was very confused. A convenience store??? I would have never thought. Their Spicy Garlic Italian panini sandwich is amazing. It has tomato, spinach, provolone cheese, garlic aioli, Italian meats & spicy cherry pepper relish. It's always the same quality no matter what time you go. They even deliver which is great if you can't get out and they are pretty quick. Not just another gas station or convenient store. Careful you could get lost in here or even lose your small child. This place is huge. I think they have every kind of chip, cookie and drink you could possibly want. And I think on aisle 2, I saw they weren't selling hardware. This store has it all pizza and salad. Where else can you fill your stomach AND your car-at the same time?! My favorite is the six-inch shorti on wheat, topped with some of my favorite veggies such as fresh cucumbers, crisp lettuce, red tomatoes, and ripe onions. For all of you carnivores, they also have an assortment of made-to-order soups, rice bowls, and quesadillas. The varieties and combinations are endless. WaWa has been building such a cult following, and we finally have a few local locations. It's a gas station, but also a great lunch stop for subs, salads, quesadillas, soup, and shakes. Order from a kiosk, with every selection from type of bread to toppings and toasted or not show . The prices are good, with 10' subs under $6 unless you add extras like bacon, extra meat or extra cheese. You get a ticket to go pay at a register, along with anything else you are grabbing from their ready made section or standard convenience store things. After paying, you wait as they make your order fresh, and they call your number when ready. On this visit, I had 3 subs and a quesadilla so it took longer than I expected but was probably just because of the quantity. Several people with higher numbers had theirs ready before me, so I'm guessing that one person works on a complete order. My rating of a 4 isn't based on comparing it to a nice restaurant, but to a quick sandwich shop, since that's essentially what it is. Oh, plus some gas I suppose! read more

I am so excited that these are popping up all over Jacksonville. My first experience with Wawa was when I lived in NJ and it was something I missed dearly upon leaving the Garden State. Now that they are starting to flood all over Florida, I am super happy! Seriously, I don't know what they do to their coffee, but I prefer Wawa coffee almost just about all others. I stop in many times during the week, at all hours of the day, and the coffee is always the best. If you have never had a sub from Wawa, you are doing yourself a grave disservice. They have excellent food and the price cannot be beat. I really like to get my breakfast from there, they have these awesome scrambled egg bowls that are super delicious and so incredibly affordable! Much better for you and tastier than stopping in for fast food. The people at Wawa are always super nice too. I'm starting to become a regular fixture and some of the staff recognize me and make a point of saying hello. One cashier in particular (I'm ashamed I can't remember her name) is incredibly pleasant and has a kind word for every patron. It's just an all around nice experience. read more

Only complaint is the 2 regular staffers; they're deliberately unfriendly. General Manager is nice and professional. Restrooms clean most of the time. Have yet to order a fresh-made sandwich but my friends/family sing the Wawa Deli's praises. Gas pump islands are beautifully maintained. 2 staffers are deliberately discourteous to homeless people; witnessed it myself. I can understand when people propose a threat to customers or employees but covid has put lower class Americans on the street. Businesses should show empathy to quiet, reserved displaced citizens. read more

I've been going to Wawa since I was a kid up north they recently opened this one in to where I live now the staff is friendly but they rush making the food I ordered a cheesesteak on a junior roll with American cheese I got little meat and cheese it tasted like bread to me I do like Wawa but I probally won't get sand which anymore read more

Last night I had my very first ordering experience at this place. While the touchscreen ordering system is really neat and easy to use, I can honestly tell you that I could have had better food/service results going to Panera Bread across from it. The two ladies preparing food seemed upset at the world. Life is so bad for them, that one did not even try to be nice to me despite my attempt to be a polite customer with a request. Terrible customer service at the food ordering area. Bad attitude and unprofessional "customer service" team member. Never again I will be stopping here for food. I keep giving these guys multiple changes and something always goes wrong with my sandwich and today was the last straw. I first stopped here to get gas. I never knew that the served sandwiches so I decided to get one. This was the best Cuban sandwich I have had since living in Jacksonville. So from 3-5:30 I can get the best experience at wawa but when the morning shift comes in it's like they don't know how to make food chickensteak is different from chicken and steak so tell me how on the 3 days I go in there after 5:30 (I get off later on Wednesday- Friday) they always mess my order up I don't come to get food everyday from them to drive 30 minutes home to have my food wrong 3 out of 7days a week read more

This 5 stars is for the employee that was making coffee this morning at 8:20. I didn't catch his name. I come here every morning for iced coffee and have been sadly not too pleased until today. Usually the coffee isn't really even cold but however he made it it was PERFECT ! I have heard people rave about Wawa's food- well, their raving was obviously a sign of insanity because Wawa food is terrible and at best mediocre. I had a frozen chai drink that had no flavor apart from the overwhelming amount of sugar; I thew it away. I also ordered a burrito which was bland but ok.
