The only gas station at this end of Town Center- it's easy to get in and out of being adjacent to the traffic light. I was surprised to see them working on half the pumps yesterday~ this gas station seems to new to need that much work, but they are up to something! Because of the pumps being out- it makes it a little more interesting to get gas here- for the time being. I was able to pull right into a pump, but others were waiting for spots to free up to pull in. Prices here are a little higher than other stations around Jax- but I swear where, if it's near the interstate- it's hiked a few pennies! And this location is off 295. As far as grabbing gas- pumps are fast, it's painless to pump here! When they wrap up the construction it will be back to 4 star gas!!! read more

Five stars for a gas station/convenience store. I know... weird/odd, right?! This Gate opened not that long ago and boy is it something! It's huge, sparkly, and the inside is oval shaped. Very cool! It's also open 24/7! There's everything you'd expect from a convenience store and more. Of course there's more... much more... otherwise it certainly wouldn't be getting five whole Yelpie stars! There hot food such as different kinds of hot dogs/sausages to choose from, tamales (beef and chicken - highly recommend both), and what they call "Tornados" which are basically like taquitos (they even have breakfast types in the morning). They have many types of cold sandwiches to choose from and fruit selections. Different types of slushies, and they even have a milkshake machine. The milkshake machine is really cool and they are actually really good. Here's a tip, if you get a milkshake, choose "thick thick." I got one for my husband and chose "thick think" to mess with him, but it was actually the perfect consistency. If I would have chosen either of the two "lower" selections, the milkshake would have been way too runny. Also, they have a Yobe Yogurt inside here. There's 8 different flavour machine and they have a toppings bar. Having a froyo craving at 3am? Well, now you have a place to get it! Amazaballs!! And before I forget, the various types of coffees they have here are just mind-boggling. You're certain to be able to find your perfect flavour. There's also the frap machine! Yay frap! I really love this gas station because the customer service has always been great when I go inside. I've never purchased hot food but I have purchased their frozen drinks and they are always yummy. I've used their restroom once and it was clean which was also a plus. read more

The store was easily accessed right from the freeway. It was clean and well organized. It also smelled really nice. All the employees were easy to find and helpful. Stephany was especially friendly and efficient. The selection of items was also really good. It was a pleasant stop for us. read more

Everything in the bathroom is clean, smells nice, and touch free (aside from the doors). The gas prices are amazing, and the staff are spectacular. They have a frozen yogurt area, the aisle are nice and organized, and lots of options are presented. The food tastes great and they have fresh fruit. read more

I must have come on a bad night but we had to stop so the little ones could use the potty. I decided to stop in because I wanted some Yobe. After I made my cup I looked all over the place and could not find a spoon. When I went to the counter to ask if they had anymore spoons there was one guy working with about 7 people in line (not exaggerating). Please stock your stuff and staff at least one more person... It is the holiday after all and there's two places in the area that does light shows. read more

This is a great gas station and convenience shop. However the car wash is awful and a waste of money. It's not just awful because it's one of those automated drive-through gas station car washes, it doesn't even stack up to your average gas station car wash. Buy your gas, coffee, snacks etc. here but look somewhere else for a car wash :-) read more

So mixed review : 5 stars for the gas pumping station itself .it is very clean and well lit and spacious . 5 stars for the store. Tons and tons of snacks available and fresh products . I also like the clean restrooms . 1 star for the car washer. It is absolutely the biggest waste of money I have ever contributed to . I went to this gas station today specifically because I remembered this one had a car washer . I paid $10 dollars for "The works " as it advertised about 8 different features and seemed like the best option . However, instead of a nice clean car I paid money to a thief of a machine that did nothing but spray my car down . The service I paid for took less then 3 minutes and didn't even use the colored soap it advertised . In the end my car was still dirty and I felt completely cheated . I do NOT recommend using this Gate car wash . Highly disappointed in the company for having such a pricey and yet horrendous quality washer. This particular Gate station is very clean (it better be it's one of the newest in town). The staff is nice. There are many of the items you can find at convenience stores... They offer a good variety of snacks and drinks.... I really like the shake machine....And of course they offer various hot dogs and other items heated on the roller grill.... This is definitely one of the best Gates in town. read more

Well lit, store looks clean enough. Gas was reasonably priced. I didn't use he bathrooms, so I cannot comment on them. Close to 295, so convenient for a quick pit stop. They also have a car wash and air machine. read more

I feel like I am stepping into a Space Ship when I enter this Gate station. They have everything! Star shaped sunglasses: check. 500 chip varieties: check. 8 flavors of frozen yogurt: check! Most importantly for any gas station, the restrooms are squeaky clean. read more

Now this is something to see. If you are in the building trade you need to see this place. It's a new design by the new leadership at Gate Petroleum. John Peyton has always wanted to be in front of everyone else in the C-Store business. Specially with 7-Eleven and Racetrac building all over Jacksonville. This store inside is built in a the shape of a football. Everything from cabinets, a/c, to the cooler is built on a radius. I have seen this place during construction (which I dearly miss) and it wasn't a easy task to build this store. The place is really modern with all the green stuff and all the latest energy saving stuff to. The product on the shelves and also state of the art. Milkshake machine that do everything except suck it up the straw for you. Now the color scheme is a little on the different side but Gate likes it. With this I will give great big kudos to whoever built this gem and many pats on the backs to the design team. Rick you did good my friend. So remember to always Swing To Gate. read more

Top of the line to describe a gas station? Yes indeed!! This is the nicest gas station in the Jacksonville area. A place is always clean, brightly lit m nice staff are always there to greet you with a smile and willing to help you find what you're looking for. And the reason you may need help finding something is due to the fact this place bigger than all other gas stations. And as an added bonus, they've got fill your own cup frozen yogurt with all the toppings. read more

They have a great selection of tornados, and even have them on later in the day. You can get frozen yogurt all time of day. There seems to be a better selection of all products here than at other Gates. Their prices seem higher than other gas station chains though. While this place is pretty good, they will never beat the awesomeness of the chain called QwikTrip (that's not in this area). read more
