This restaurant bills itself as high-end, and it's prices reflect that. But the layout and overall atmosphere reveal that's it's a typical in-hotel eatery. I visited for breakfast and was unimpressed with the overpriced breakfast buffet. $26 might be ok for a Vegas size buffet. But the limited selection here should br priced at half-that. Instead, I opted for jianbing, a delicious Chinese breakfast crepe. It was a great choice. Delicious and we'll priced at $9. While staying at the hotel, we stopped in for happy hour. No special happy hour menu per se, just a limited menu of available options because the kitchen closes for full meals between lunch and dinner. A four ounce portion of mixed nuts was expensive ($10) and mostly just skins and debris. The description was locally smoked. No real smoke flavor. The blue cheese wedge for $10 was a steal based on the giant portion of cheese. Unfortunately, it came with only six crackers and about a third of an apple. I love bold cheese more than most but even I need a little more to go with it than that. We left half the cheese on the table as a result. Wine selection is limited which is surprising considering how plentiful Washington wines are. Beer had a few more options but again, considering what Seattle is doing with micro brews, the restaurant is missing an opportunity. read more

Very surprised by this place. My wife and I came here for restaurant week and after reading some Yelp reviews, I was a little concerned. Lots of people complaining about the portion size, flavor, and price. When the appetizer of a crab cake came out, I was a little worried. It was about 1 inch thick and the size of a silver dollar. It was flavorful just a bit small. I was really amazed when the pork chop came out as the main dish. It was HUGE! So flavorful and not over seasoned. The dessert was off the planet. I really enjoyed the Dolce and the Prada was pretty good too. Our server Nancy was very friendly and attentive. She even said that they have a happy hour menu from 2-5. Pricing might be considered high for the area but not more than some of the well known restaurants in Bellevue. The view was pretty awesome and well worth our time. Give it a chance if you're a local or here for a visit. We enjoyed the experience and I think you will too. read more

Having wonderful service during the summer I decided to try Water's Table for our Christmas Family dinner of 10. Was disappointed at the Host as she was on her phone and not attending to when our table would be ready, we did arrive 15 mins early. The food was good and Nicole was GREAT!! I've eaten here now 3 times for business lunches, and 1 business dinner. I've gotta say, if they weren't for business, or the fact that we were already for business, I wouldn't have eaten here. My recommendation if you find yourself at the Hyatt Regency (beautiful hotel at a beautiful venue) is have a drink at the bar, and go elsewhere for food (if you have the time). Quite simply, I removed 1 star because of the quality of the food. It's mediocre. I got the poke bowl for 1 lunch, and it was great, except for the fact that the rice was under cooked. That shouldn't be happening when paying $16+ for a lunch item. Which gets me to why I removed the 2nd star, the place is overpriced for the quality ($4.50 for a iced tea or soda)? What your paying for is the venue and the view, which is great, looking out over Lake Washington. The service is also pretty good, which is great for a Seattle area establishment. I imagine that they are catering to the business crowd on expense accounts, and that may be driving the high prices. If you're driving there and self-park in the garage, you'll not only get a workout walking into the place, but so will your pocket book, at downtime Seattle level parking rates (I paid $13.20 for being there 5hrs16min, a little long for lunch, but I had a meeting there too). read more

The overall ambiance of the hotel and restaurant are incredible -- the view alone from our table is enough to bring us back! Granted, they have just opened and are working through their initial kinks. It's clear that their team is cognizant of this and aiming to provide a great experience -- it's the opening shuffle that all restaurants go through! Came here last night to celebrate a birthday and had such a wonderful experience. We showed up early for our reservation and they accommodated us. We had a great table to enjoy the incredible view. Celebrated a birthday here as I had great experiences in the past. This time around, I was HIGhLY disappointed. The food was below mediocre and didn't even come close to equaling the expensive bill (over $500) that we accrued. The atmosphere was not as inviting as normal, but at least our waitress was fantastic. I really feel they must have new management or new cooks because this was a night and day experience from before. Called ahead and was told we won't be able to and reservations were full. Said don't bother coming without one. So I made one this weekend for our wedding anniversary for brunch assuming it was a busy establishment. It was dead. About 10% full inside 30% on patio. I'll bullet point it so it's easy to read: - no hostess to be found. Had to wait around for a few minutes. Mind you, it was NOT busy. - if you were under the impression this was a rooftop restaurant, it's not. If you were under the impression the patio was in the sun, it's not. This place is on the 2nd floor with a view of the front desk checking in guests. Seriously. - I planned to eat at the buffet because I assumed it was a high quality based on the amazing hotel. It was not. For $24 I'm not eating scrambled eggs and fruit (among other non-impressive items) - I got the corned beef hash which was still $16 and it was so disappointing in portion and quality. Just take a look at the photo. It was NOT corned beef. It was CUBED HAM. As I started eating it I thought to myself that Denny's tasted better and was less than half the price. - for some reason it was served on a skillet and was not steaming. However the skillet was burning hot. Did they just place it in a scaling skillet to keep warm? Regardless, waitress, Carly, didn't bother telling me it was burning hot. Burned my wrist. - my wife legitimately thought the eggs were powdered. I did as well after she mentioned it. I dare the staff to tell me they actually crack eggs for those plates. $40 later after a tip, I wish I went to Denny's. How can a restaurant at such a nice hotel be this bad? Well it is. Choosing a place to dine during Seattle restaurant week can be a large task. Even though this is in Renton, Water's table participated this year. On the south banks of lake Washington inside the Hyatt hotel is Water's table. Dining in October while it's raining you would think it's impossible to dine outside. This place has a great covered and heated outdoor dining area. We were sat at our reserved table right away and our server greeted us right away. We started off with a bottle of wine and ordered three course meals for restaurant week. My boyfriend and I shared both courses. Appetizers: crab cake and gumbo. The gumbo was the winner here. Delicious and a good size. The crab cake was tiny and needed less breading and more crab. Main course: king salmon and pork chop. The pork chop entree was the WINNER. It was large, bone in, and delicious. The salmon was great but it was just a sliver of fish. Desserts: chocolate cake and pumpkin cheesecake. We both loved our options. The service was amazing all through the meal. The only one thing this place needs improvement on is balance in portions. The gumbo was a good portion while the crab cake was tiny. The salmon was tiny compared to the perfect Porkchop. It would be nice to see some consistency. We will be back again for sure. read more

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on 3/21. We were greeted and seated promptly. A few minutes later, our server came over and gave us water and took our beverage order as well. I noticed that she was very professional and customer service oriented. She made us feel like we were her honored guests. I believe her name is Sylvia. She then took our order. A few minutes later she returned with our beverages and asked if we would like to try the soup or chowder. I had chowder and my friend had soup. Both were delicious! About 10 minutes later our order arrived. We both ordered a Salmon Burger which by the way, was absolutely tender and delicious! We also noticed our fries were fresh and piping hot as well. As we ate, we had the opportunity to enjoy the view of the lake which made our visit even more special. The restaurant itself was clean and well staffed. Based upon our visit and customer service that we received, I would like to thank our server Sylvia for a job well done! She was attentive to our needs as she checked on our table every five minutes or so to make sure our meal was fine. I also observed her checking on all of her customers frequently as well. Sylvia takes a great deal of pride in making sure that all of her customers well taken care of. I'm not sure how things work at the facility on the administrative side however, I'd love to suggest a salary increase for her based upon our personal experience with her as well as how she interacts with other guests as well. If Sylvia is not working full time, she needs to be! So that more people can experience her high level of professionalism. Needless to say, my friend and I will return so that we can experience the delicious food, great service, beautiful lake views, and the " VIP" treatment that we received from Sylvia. Complete disappointment is all I can say. We mostly come here for the location, we walk here from our place for coffee, or taking the grand baby to play at the park it is usually our go to for a snack or lunch, brunch or dinner on our walks. My husband and I had dinner here last night and we live close by so we are familiar with the crowds during the summer. That wasn't the problem. The food last night was terrible I had a Cesar salad and I added salmon on top. I've had better salads at Red Robin. This one was terrible too much dressing, I must have gotten the last of the croutons because they were all crumbs and I almost cracked a tooth they were so hard. The salmon was farm raised Atlantic come on for a classy place like this wild is best. We also ordered a dip appetizer that came with crackers. It's a three bowl dip plate with two crackers for each dip. When the server asked if we wanted more crackers to finish the dip we said yes and then when the bill came we found a $2.00 charge for the additional crackers. At least tell me there is an extra charge, I don't mind if I have to pay for it but seriously that's petty. The issue here is get a new chef, train the hostesses they never know what is going on. We were told that the kitchen staff was busy and backed up but we could wait 35 min no problem. We asked to wait in the bar and the hostess said you can't order food there. I replied "Can we get a drink?" The service well for the love of God find servers that can move faster then a sloth. The bus boys were great. The food is over priced to say the least, we have had brunch here and the choices are limited. The only good brunch item is the chicken and waffles. The bar service is great no problems there. The lunch is ok but not enough selection. If you go downstairs to the outdoor bar it's like a snack shack they won't bring down real food and your selections are limited. We once paid for a charcuterie plate like the kind you get at Starbucks but we paid $30.00 for. Here's a tip 1. Don't serve warm water(you have to ask for ice and they bring it to you in a plastic cup. Tacky) 2. Fresh seafood more options (come on we're in the PNW 3. Better menu items and more variety 4. You have to use real food, too much boxed and canned items here. 5. If you are going to charge these prices deliver quality meals. If I'm paying this much and I'm used to Seattle prices I don't have a problem paying a for good food. Then deliver a quality $40+ meal. The two stars are for the incredible view. read more

Within 15 minutes, a table became available and we inquired if we could move to that table but hostess advised it was someone else's station (we hadn't ordered anything yet). 30 minutes passed and no one was seated at the table. Let's start off with the food since that is normally what people look forward to considering the high pricing for this place. Garbage. Do not order the artisan baguette with the garlic butter because it was so hard and dry. The garlic butter wasn't impressive either. The menu was very limited - probably due to COVID and I get that - but there were also no vegetarian dinner options for one of our friend's. No meat substitutions whatsoever. Two of us ended up ordering the Lakeside burger and subbed it for chicken - didn't like it. It was too sweet for my liking, I'm assuming it was the jam that they used on the bread and the caramelized onions. It was more like a slider rather than a burger. However, I will admit that the fries were to die for! Service was okay - the person that brought us our bottle of wine actually tipped over one of our water glasses and got it all over us but it was alright - it didn't get too messy. Now the views were great! It was too hot up on the patio - even with the shades down, I wouldn't sit up there again.
