I called this morning trying to get someone to come and check out our water heater. The lady on the phone was extremely impatient and RUDE and refused to send someone to come and check out my water heater. She talked like, "uh. well. I can't send someone there unless we know we can fix the problem for sure." Um...how would I know if you can fix the problem for sure if (a) I am not the plumber in the conversation, else I won't need to call you, and (b) I don't know your ability to fix something, so that's why I need you to come out...make sense? Please have some common sense and courtesy for your customer! I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. read more

A broken water heater sucks! It's affect dominos through out the day. Monday, 2/22/16, We were referred to this company through our homeowners insurance, so there was no choice in the matter. The service made an appointment for the next afternoon 2/23/16 (between 4pm-8pm), a little late in the day but acceptable. The tech, Thomas, called just after 4pm to tell us his location and his approximate arrival. He called again to announce his arrival. He called into his office, approx 5pm, and we heard that he was given the option to reschedule for the next day. He declined their offer and got right to work. Pleasant, Professional and focused, Thomas explained that our current water heater was 25 years old and would need some California mandated updates. Understandable. He was finished installing the replacement and cleaned up by 8pm. Done. read more

On November 6, 2018, my 15-year old water heater decided to rust through and leak about a half inch of water in my house couple of weeks ago. Quickly, my trusty phone lead me to Yelp and to Water Heaters Only, where I spoke to a really nice woman on the phone who explained that water heaters have about a 10-15 year life span. She let me know that a new one would be about $1,600 - $2,000 depending on the size and condition of the connections at my house, and that she could dispatch an installer in the next 30 minutes. How could I not, with their excellent Yelp ratings!? In about 25 minutes, Fabian came out and quickly let me know that a new one, that is now 10 gallons larger than my broken one, would be $1,650. Since I am adding a second bathroom, I appreciated the extra capacity and was happy to sign the contract and have him very quickly remove the old unit and install the new one. Water Heaters Only is everything great that other Yelpers have mentioned--if you need a new water heater, do not hesitate to give them a call. read more

Had 2 waters installed in the main house and the guest house by Daniel VanHove. He arrived on time, was very friendly and polite. He explained a lot of things about the new water heaters and seemed very knowledgeable! Who knew there was so much to know about them?! Once installed, they looked very professional and functional! Their price was $700 less than a couple estimates given by 2 other plumbers! Very pleased with Water Heaters Only! read more

Our water heater started leaking on Friday 8/5/16. After numerous calls to plumbers we had used in the past we were unsuccessful in scheduling anyone. However I kept asking for referrals and on my 3rd call I was referred to Water Heaters Only. Mike showed up about 90 minutes later and did the job. He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He explained everything we needed and our options. I could not be happier! I feel we got an excellent value for our money and even though it was not cheap I do not feel we were overcharged. I would recommend them without reservation. read more

Came home from a Christmas holidays road trip to a leaking water heater on a Friday afternoon before a long New Year's weekend. They gave me a quote ($1,600) and booked me for the following day (Saturday) between 11 & 2. They showed up at 11:30 and were out before 2! Fantastic service, upgraded the code work on the installation and left the place cleaner than they found it for $1,601. Thanks WHO! Great experience and I feel good about the new model. read more

Hi, I meant to update my review sooner. Though i was originally disappointed, i did receive a call back from the manager. He was very courteous and apologetic and I found that incredibly refreshing. Again it's a service industry and especially in these tough economic times, i think it's important to not be so rigid in a company's policies (except of course for health). They offered to work with me and i was pleased with their proposal, however by this point i had hired a contractor who had previously done some work for me. But had he not been available, i would have used Water Heaters Only. After a very lengthy conversation, i was educated in water heaters (tankless and not) and felt like i really understood which would be better for my needs. Thanks read more

I requested a service, they took a day to answer and they told me that they do not attend in my area, they are less than a mile from my house and they did not even have my address, terrible service. read more

This past weekend our home warranty company set us up with an appointment with Water Heaters Only to come take a look at our broken water heater. The service technician they sent out was Mike. He was timely, professional, and personable! Mike was quick and efficient in installing our new water heater. After installing he took the time explaining how to light the pilot if needed in the future, and made sure that when installing, all the necessary parts were visually accessible should any issues arise. We would definitely recommend Water Heaters Only and Mike! - Alaine Karoleff - Date: Feb 23, 2019 - Installer: Mike Cohen read more

Very happy with Water Heaters Only for three reasons: 1. They were $1,200 less than my regular plumber's quote. 2. Tony, the installer, was prompt and courteous. 3. Weeks after installation, I voiced concern about a minor technical issue. Dave, the manager, made sure it was fixed right away. I felt taken care of from start to finish. read more

This is based on my phone conversation with Water Heaters Only, as they refused to come out and even look at my non-functioning water heater. My water heater stopped working earlier in the week, GE sent me a replacement part assuring me that it could be installed by me with a screwdriver, and after I was unsuccessful I called Water Heaters Only. They told me that they will not touch a water heater that has been worked on by a non-professional, even after I said that I would pay them just to come look at it. Their website says they are a "full service water heater repair, replacement and installation company", but it seems they only selectively choose their customers. read more

We recently needed a water heater replacement and Water Heaters Only was able to provide same day service which was quite helpful. The technician was Daniel Van Hove and he communicated very well regarding arrival time and was very polite and knowledgeable in explaining the issues and the work that was done. The price was a little higher than I was quoted and would have liked, but I appreciate the responsive and efficient service and feel the work was high quality. read more

Mike did a great job installing a new water heater. Responsive and honest company. Very rare.

Our tankless water heater gave out. Called the next morning and Mike arrived within an hour or two. He was very friendly and helpful. Great service! Would definitely recommend. UPDATE: I feel like I need to revise my review. While I am still happy with the quality of the installation and the friendliness of the service, we were informed that by installing a tankless water heater, we would be able to get 1) a rebate from SoCalGas and 2) a credit on our federal tax returns. Neither is accurate. The rebate from SoCalGas only applies if you are replacing a conventional tank-type water heater and the federal tax credit expired in 2016. While I don't believe the service representative intentionally misinformed me, I expect them to know better before using this information to help "close the deal" on a potential sale. read more

Our water heater went out on us yesterday. We were referred to Water Heaters Only via our home warranty. We had an immediate response from them and sent out Tony on 7.19.18.FN6591663A He was amazing! We came home on a Saturday night after 8 days on the road to a puddle of water outside our house. I opened the water heater cabinet and it was gushing water :( We searched Yelp and found Water Heaters Only, Inc and could not be happier!!! We called in the morning (ON SUNDAY!!!) and they were out in about 2 hours--right when they said they would be. The repairman was neat, professional and very polite. I called in later on an afternoon conversation initially went real well, until I was told that the cost replace a 30 gallon water heater after normal hours would be 2500. I had to turn them down and then the price was miraculously lowered to 2000. I thanked him and said no thanks. Next day I got a text trying again to hook me which I ignored. I was able to send someone over next day they replaced a thermo coupler and the total cost to me was $150. While it seems many have posted positive comments. Woke up to no hot water and a pool of water in the back. Damn, hot water heater broke. Water Heaters Only to the rescue with Tony Edwards leading the brigade. Within 20 minutes or so of our phone call Tony was at our door. He was thorough, professional and really kind. The kind of person you want in your home. It took only about an hour and a half and I got my new water heater. He let me use a Yelp coupon I found on line ($100 get $200 off) which made the price pretty much what other plumbers were charging but I was going to have to wait a day or two! Rarely do you get quality service and speed at a reasonable price. They were only $89 over my usual plumber and he was going to take a day or two. Totally worth it. I feel you can often judge a company by the employees and Tony really showed me what a terrific company Water Heaters Only must be. He showed me what he was going to do and when finished went through it all with me. For a day that started out as a disaster this ended up pretty well. Now I can take a hot shower! Oh Boy! read more

I used Water Heaters Only in 2002 and called them again at the beginning of this new year when I lost my hot water last evening. Tony the technician came to my house this morning within 1-1/2 hrs of calling David and requesting service. I am completely satisfied with the service. They answered the phone when I called, looked up my existing model, made their recommendation, gave me a ballpark price estimate, and told me about the water heater brand and why they use it. Tony called me within 30 minutes of my original phone call, told me when he'd arrive and reliably came on time. He provided the detailed estimate which matched what I was told on the phone by David, gave me a tip on where to get a discount coupon, neatly and cleanly installed the new water heater and was a pleasure to deal with. Somehow I started this back in July 2016, but never posted it. The morning of the 4th of July 2016, I went into my garage to find my water heater leaking like the Titanic. It was about 15 years old. I called the number on the sticker attached to the water heater, on the first ring, at about 8AM, on the 4th of July, a voice answered... "Water Heaters Only, can I help you?" I said, wow you are open, he said of course. I explained my situation, gave him some info he needed, and I had a technician at my house in 2 hours installing a new water heater. No additional charge for it being a holiday, The technician was great, I felt bad he was working on the 4th of July, but he was very pleasant, and friendly. He did a great job in a couple of hours, and my problem was solved. It's funny, I had the same experience 15 years earlier, when the water heater that was in the house when I bought it started leaking. I saw the sticker on it for Water Heaters Only, called the number and they answered on the first ring. Now that's reliability. read more

The water heater that serves two of my tenants apartments went out at about 9 AM. I called Water Heaters Only and lo and behold a live person answered who was able to schedule installation of a new water heater that same day shortly after noon. The installation specialist, Ron, was extremely knowledgeable very personable and did an excellent installation job. This same company had installed a replacement water heater in my home about a year and a half prior. That installation also went flawlessly. On both occasions, I was quoted an exact price and there were no surprises and that exact price was all that I paid. I am very impressed with this company. I am a return customer to them. If I have another water heater problem I will certainly call them again. read more
