Clearly this company does not need add'l rave reviews from me, someone who didn't even wind up…read moregetting work done with them. But I couldn't NOT leave a review because Natal was so wonderful. Long story short, I changed plans and am no longer getting a new water heater. But the friendly help and stellar communications from Natalia were appreciated and impressive. When I sent her a photo of the existing water heater and expressed concern about what the new, tankless water heater would look like, she sent AI (or photoshop) -generated images showing exactly what it would look like in my garage. When I shifted gears and said "Maybe we can put it outside, she addressed all of the logistical concerns, sent a tech out to go over the situation, then generated an elaborate quote that broke everything down beautifully. And then, of course, I used ChatGPT to troubleshoot what can go wrong with moving a water heater ten feet, while changing from tank to tankless and going from interior to exterior and it gave me about twenty concerns. Most of them seemed like AI nonsense but some of them were good points. Make sure your gas meter is X size, make sure your gas line is 3/4", many concerns about re-circulation situation... I'm sure the Natal and her techs new all of this and knew to determine some things on the day it was installed but Natal took every one of my concerns to heart, realized some were valid concerns that were not addressed on the first time a tech came out to quote the job so sent our another tech to take a closer look. And then I never did the job... Natal was as pleasant and sweet the last day as she was the first day. Just eager to gain my trust and do the job. Clearly, that has been most people's experience, too, as i look at these other reviews. Look, I don't get the impression that On Call Water Heaters shows up with three brand new vans all emblazoned with the name of the company in a full vehicle ad-wrap and the price she gave me reflected that... smaller outfit with less personnel that gives good pricing and good service with a good attitude. As usual, it's one or two people at a company that make it stick out and in this case it's all Natal.

I called several companies, but none of them seemed interested in properly diagnosing the problem. They simply wanted to replace the entire water heater at a ridiculously high price or quoted me outrageous prices just to replace a part like over 2000. Then I contacted Sam to diagnose the issue. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to thoroughly inspect the water heater and carefully check all the possible causes instead of jumping straight to replacement. He eventually identified the problem and installed a new ignition combination control box for me at a very reasonable price. The water heater is now working properly again. I really appreciate Sam taking the time to actually diagnose and fix the problem instead of simply telling me to replace the entire water heater. It's refreshing to find someone who is knowledgeable, professional, honest, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Sam to anyone who needs water heater repair.

She really did it…read more She thought she was doing me a favor by flushing what remained of my roast chicken with broccolini down the toilet, because my 1920s Silverlake pad does not have a garbage disposal. My toilet, however, thought otherwise. CUT TO: Me trying every imaginable home remedy, pouring vinegar and baking soda and dish soap into the bowl...and the water level getting progressively higher, the water more and more murky. Time for a professional. But my normal dude had gotten out of the business. Mild panic ensued. I decided to lean on the network. I reached out to Dmitriy of Priority Appliance Repair, and he referred me to Kassman, where I reached Margo. Margo was clear, communicative (via text and voice), obviously very concerned with providing excellent service, and easily dealt with some unexpected obstacles in scheduling. She estimated that her plumber would arrive between 1 and 3. Harry got to my place around 1:45. Harry was just the kind of person you need in a crisis like this: calm, focused, and very very very good at what he does. Watching him auger the toilet felt like some sort of delicate, precise medical procedure. There is an art to knowing how to auger a toilet, and Harry is a master. 'Did she put the whole chicken down there?,' he asked, jokingly. Twenty-two seconds later, the dark pools had disappeared, and I saw the cleanest white porcelain imaginable. Harry gave the rest of the toilet a once-over. I wrote a check for $150, and he was on his way to his next call. It is now just past 2pm, and all is well. Quickest repair ever. Kassman Plumbing is absolutely as good as it gets. They are your call. Tell them I sent you.

We had a sewer backup issue affecting the back unit/ADU while also dealing with separate toilet issues in the front house. Mick responded quickly, diagnosed both problems efficiently, and got everything resolved the same day. The front house issue turned out to be worn toilet flappers from normal wear and tear. The back unit issue was a main line grease buildup/clog that required drain clearing and camera inspection work. Mick also took the time to explain the likely long-term slope/drainage concern with the ADU connection in a very straightforward and practical way. One thing I still appreciate after all these years is that Mick communicates like an operator, not a salesman. He explains what is urgent, what is manageable, and what may become a future capital repair issue without trying to create panic or pressure. Fast response, direct communication, practical diagnostics, and strong long-term knowledge of older LA plumbing systems and rental properties. Still highly recommend Mick and Right Price Rooter & Plumbing.
