Sauer Bros. is at present a father son team. They have done work at my home and at my mother's. Both homes are over 100 years old. I have found them to be reliable and honest. They come and fix the problem. They will not try to upsell you. They even offer advice on how to avoid or deal with problems so you can DYI. Since they are a small shop scheduling can be difficult but they have always come on time and returned calls. Today they squeezed me in because my mom's toilet was plugged. I called at 7 am and Bob wasn't sure he could get to me and he said that he would call me back. He did and said he would arrive about 9:30 and he did. Toilet is now back in business. Would be no stars if possible. Called for help to get shower drain unclogged and backing up in toilet. Had to call 2 times before finally spoke to their call service, who said they said they would call me back as soon as possible. It is now past 5pm and no call. Really? It's a shower and I need to use it, as well as my toilet. Guess I won't be hiring these guys. Sad part is that other locals in area recommended them. Too bad! read more

Okay. These guys are your guardian angels. I added them on Yelp - thus only one review so far. We have used them for years and they are honest, smart, good, decent people who will save your lives when it comes to plumbing. We had a leak in our hot/cold water purifier device and I noticed water dripping in the mess of our garage yesterday. Terrified of the damage that could be done to the structure of our home, I called the Sauer Bros at around 7 am. At work at around 11 am the same day I received a call from Bob Sauers, who said he could be at my house in 15 minutes. One day later the problem is solved and I am at peace. When I asked about the bill, basically Bob said (Perhaps since we're lifelong customers), "We'll get to that. I'll mail you one in about a week." Why aren't there more Sauers Bros out there. Excellent service! I called at 8:04 in the morning and because a job had been cancelled Rob and Company were at my clogged kitchen sink before 9:00! They replaced the rotting and clogged p-trap and drain pipes. I was new again to the neighborhood, having moved into my mom's home after she passed away. Calling Saurer Brothers was a lucky move. I'm very happy with their service. So professional and very nice people. Their invoice was very detailed. I knew exactly what parts and services cost. Also, when they arrived I was feeding my dogs and subsequently had to give one of my dogs an insulin shot while they were here. Talking about my dog's diabetes opened up the conversation to nutrition and health. Rob could be a doctor or nutritionist with all his knowledge. Nutrition is a passion of his. So amazing! read more

I was replacing my washing machine hoses. In trying to turn off the water at their valves, I discovered that washing machine valve handles that were frozen(stuck in open position). I called them this morning at 7, they said that they could be around later this morning. They called me back at 10, said that they would be there in 20 minutes. They were completed by 11:30. Pathetically bad. Have used them in the past and been happy. I called yesterday - Monday AM for a clogged kitchen sink...was told I'd hear from them when their "crew" called in...that was at10. Called again at 2 - having heard nothing. Got the same story....so this morning - Tuesday - waited until 10 and then called another plumber who was here within 30 minutes. It is now 3:40 on Tuesday and I STILL haven't had a call back from them. Wonder if they sold the business - - if so it must have been to morons. I don't like posting negative reviews, but TWO days without a call back is inexcusable. read more

Would never even consider calling anyone else. They've done a variety of jobs for me over the last 10 years, and they always take care of it. Brian and Rob are wonderful guys, totally trustworthy, friendly, and no matter what the plumbing issue is, they fix it and fix it right. In fact, they've made something of a career correcting cheap plumbing work done during a house remodel in 2003-4. I figure in another 5 years or so they will have redone all the shoddy work that was in place. As I write this, they're just finishing up replacing or kitchen sink (which was chipped) with a new cast-iron one from Kohler. New faucets are also being installed. They had to grind away some of the granite counter to get the new faucet assembly to fit correctly, and were careful to use a vacuum to minimize the mess. Love these guys! Oh, and to Pat, regarding her review: I live in Montrose, and it takes me 10 minutes just to drive to OSH, plus time in the store itself. 25 minutes for a trip does not sound unreasonable to me at all. Short of carrying a plumbing supply shop in their truck, they're going to end up having to get the specific part you need for your job once they're working on it. read more

Fixed my plumbing issue it for literally 1/10 of what my 2 other plumbing estimates were and everything works perfectly now.....Saved me well over $1,000. This review is as good as it gets! Rarely have I been this satisfied with a service provider. We had a pipe burst under our house and found it last night. We turned off the water and hoped we could get a plumber in the morning. We called Saurer at 7am and they answered. They were at our house by 8:30am and the pipe was fixed by 9:30! They looked at a couple of other small things while they were out and made some suggestions of things we could do on our own. They charged a VERY fair price and we were able to shower! First off, they do quality work. However, the last two times I used them the technicians said they needed to go get parts at OSH in the middle of the call. Their trips were about 25 minutes for a 10 minute stop. (I did the trip on my own with a timer and can't figure out how it could have taken them so long both times) At $95.00 a hour, needing BOTH to go, and taking much longer than anticipated. I didn't think much about it the first, but when it happened the second I decided I'd probably be better off looking elsewhere. read more

I would like to give a positive review as we have heard great things. However they never returned our phone call for service. We called on dec 23 rd and left a message with the answering service. We're told someone would be in by nine the next morning. That was a week ago and never got a phone call. Disappointing as we like to support local businesses. Called them in morning with broken pipe in wall and water on the floor, after some discussion I decided I would call them back. Well - about an hour later, they called ME back (surprising) and told me they would come over. They ran a snake to clear the drain, replaced the broken pipe in the wall and charged me very little.
