This group is unique where they're great communicators, effective problem solvers, task oriented, and genuinely nice people. I had them add clean out valves to a tankless and they were flawless throughout the process. Jake made sure all the right parts were used and lined up a great technician who did a great job on the install. They troubleshoot and are effective. The technician, Jimmy, stuck around and mentioned when he turned on the water he heard what he recognized as high water pressure in the pipes and to check the water pressure regulator on the unit. The condo shared this and we found out this is in fact an issue the HOA was having with the entire building. They have someone replacing it now but the fact that after the job was done Jimmy mentioned what he felt wasn't right, was awesome. You'd be surprised how many plumbers get in, do the thing, and bounce. Or try and upsell you on stuff, they seemed to be in it to make sure it's right. I truly appreciate that. Strangely enough, shortly after, I had another plumbing emergency and Jake was on it. They're scheduled to fix the issue first thing tomorrow and Jake gave me a great price. Can't ask for better. We had a sewer backup issue affecting the back unit/ADU while also dealing with separate toilet issues in the front house. Mick responded quickly, diagnosed both problems efficiently, and got everything resolved the same day. The front house issue turned out to be worn toilet flappers from normal wear and tear. The back unit issue was a main line grease buildup/clog that required drain clearing and camera inspection work. Mick also took the time to explain the likely long-term slope/drainage concern with the ADU connection in a very straightforward and practical way. One thing I still appreciate after all these years is that Mick communicates like an operator, not a salesman. He explains what is urgent, what is manageable, and what may become a future capital repair issue without trying to create panic or pressure. I googled for drain cleaning services and Gary's Rooter and Hydro-Jetting came up, with good reviews. I double checked reviews with Yelp, and decided to give him a call. He answered. Not a dispatcher or national service third party, like I would have gotten if calling one of the well known Rooter company names. The actual guy answered the phone. He gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone, with the reasonable caveat that until he sees the issue he can't know for sure. He and his partner came within a few hours, which was the time he'd estimated over the phone. They assed the issue and confirmed pricing based on what they saw, then they cleared the obstruction quickly; ran a camera through the pipe to show me how it looks; and discussed options for hydro jetting. While they'd cleared the main problem swiftly, it made sense to me to also have them do the hydro jetting of some roots that were closer to the street, as a preventative measure. That was also done pretty quickly, and I also got to see the before and after video camera feeds of the inside of the pipes. All-in, I was happy with the service and considered the cost to be transparent and fair.

He also gave good advice when it came to installing a new shower valve. Since there was no way to access where the valve was without cutting the tile, the waterproofing would have been compromised. So according to him, it would be best to either redo the shower or we would have to use a bigger plate than the one that came with our shower valve to cover the big hole in the front in order to make space to work on the valve. Even though in the end we didn't touch the shower, it was mainly because of Ruslan's detailed explanation of what the work would entail.
