It has been over a decade since my 5 star review for Andy, and he still deserves it! We had a rental house with your classic clogged drain, and chose someone local with a free evaluation. They were great, until the drain clogged again- a month later. Despite this other compay's guarantee, they charged me again for unclogging, but it happened again. They couldn't figure out a reason, and we even had a 2nd company out to check. Finally, I asked Andy to drive out for it, he made time for us during a busy holiday weekend, and he diagnosed the problem (a little more complicated than the superficially clogged drain), quoted a fair price, and fixed the problem. I recommend Andy as someone who is incredibly thorough and will get to the root of a problem rather than collecting fees for temporary fixes. I trust and highly recommend Andy. I Had a great experience! . I originally called them out just for an estimate and the price was totally fair -- no nonsense, no upsell. They also caught and fixed some bad work a previous plumber left behind, which was a huge relief. And honestly, the three guys who came out were some of the nicest people -- incredibly respectful of my place, put on shoe covers (even after I told them they didn't need to), and just generally treated everything with care. I left a message for Andy Castillo at 7:45 am on a Monday morning after learning that we had a gas leak from our water heater and the gas company had just shut off our gas. He returned my call by 8:30 am and told me he could have two of his guys come take a look and fix it between 1 pm and 3 pm that SAME day. The guys arrived between the designated times and quickly assessed the issue. They gave me a very reasonable quote for the gas leak, correcting the ventilation that removes the CO2 and exhaust from the water heater and bringing it up to code - as well as 2 other small plumbing jobs we needed help with. I asked if that would be a firm quote, and they said, "Yes." They needed to go buy parts, but returned very quickly. Gus and his helper worked very quickly and efficiently. They were quiet and left zero mess. The jobs were done professionally and looked super sharp. Even the gas service man commented on what a professional and great job the plumbers did! He said given that it was the holidays and how busy he was around this time, he was impressed that Andy Castillo could send out help on the same day - especially on a Monday! I will be using Andy Castillo (and hopefully - especially GUS) again whenever I need a plumber. I used Andy Castillo Plumbing to assist with relocating a couple of water heaters and the associated gas/ water lines. The previous situation was supremely half assed and dangerous. Him and his crew demolished a storage space the next room over and made a new laundry area and reinstalled the 2 water heaters with new proper venting. It was his idea to run it that way and its been working great ever since. This was almost 6 y, ears ago when I bought my place in the 90032. When it was all done he came through the next evening and made sure everything was good to go and that I was good with the work. Had a new dishwasher installed, and the installers didn't want to hook up the water line because the valve was stuck (I confirmed this) and they didn't want to risk breaking it. I called Andy and explained my situation. He sent out Gus to check it out, and he was great. He listened to me, discussed the option of replacing the valve but did not try to sell me on it. After turning off the water supply to the house, he carefully and successfully was able to open the valve! I offered to pay but he declined. These guys are the real deal. Chose to work with this company after reading reviews on yelp, Angie's list and the BBB. I found water leaking under my washer when I was running laundry and traced the water to the end of the return hose that connects the washer to the house drain on the wall spilling all over the floor. Called Andy and he was able to schedule me the same day. Gus and Sergio came out to assess the problem, they found the obstruction, cleared it, tested the line afterwards to make sure no more obstruction, cleaned up after themselves (including wearing shoe covers which I appreciated), all for a reasonable price. I have an old house which means old drain lines that were not replaced before I bought the house . The right long term solution is to replace the drains which is costly and would require braking slab, flooring etc. Gus gave an honest opinion of how long I can hold it off until and gave different short term options. I've worked with other plumbers for different issues and jobs. These guys were polite, efficient, mindful not to make a mess or scratch my floors/walls/ appliances and got the job done! read more

All I can say is WOW - this was a very great experience with Andy Castillo plumbing! I have used his service several times over the years but this time it was just extremely great service! Unfortunately my main water pipe broke, in the garden and thank God I was just standing there when it happened! I shut off the water and called Andy! He is very professional, honest and knowledgeable! He send out his worker but the work was more extensive! Next day Andy and two workers came to figure out what needed to be done! My house is old and some pipes, specially the one that broke are galvanized! Anyway, Andy's crew had to dig up my garden, crawl underneath the house to put new pipes in! Since rain was in the forecast, he scheduled the workers for the following week and offered to put a temporary pipe to my garage so I could do my laundry! I thought it could wait, declined but since the rain lasted several more days I called Any again to ask for the temporary pipe and he send out one worker who put the pipe up during pouring rain! So amazing! The workers came after the rain, digging up my garden, working all day! Very clean and on time, good Communication! Call Andy Castillo Plumbing to see if my kitchen sink and the sink hook up to the washer to see if there's blockage on my plumbing due to water going down very slowly. Gus came out today and take a look and told me that the pipe hooked up to the washer was a bit small but still works fine and did not see there's a need to run the snake or anything like that. We called Andy Castillo in an emergency because we had a pipe break leading into our house. While Andy was not available that day to fix the issue he was still able to send his guys out to check out the problem almost immediately and they fixed it the very next morning. The guys did quality work digging up the pipe and burying everything again in a tidy fashion.
