Your home's plumbing is an "out of sight, out of mind" thing. If you don't have to think about it, then it's doing its job correctly. My parents-in-law had a toilet that wasn't draining properly, a semi-emergency since it's the only toilet in their small condo. It was already late in the day, but I found QP Plumbing and messaged them and they were able to have a plumber out early the next morning. Leo was the plumber who visited and he did a lot of troubleshooting: first with a plunger, then an auger, then removing the toilet to inspect the trap and the drain pipe. In the end, we determined that the toilet should be replaced because of its age, and Leo took care of buying a new toilet, installing it, and hauling the old one away. He recommended a toilet that's elongated and slightly higher, which was a great option for our elderly parents with reduced mobility. Leo also replaced the wax ring and flange bolts and caulked the new toilet well. He took the time to do the job right, and the price was quite reasonable. Big job for old house can cost an arm and a leg, nobody wants to pay few thousand dollars out of the blue to do repairs. If you are rich and money don't mean anything to you, by all means ....just go with any people high reviews on yelp. Let me tell you I learned the hard way by hiring a 200 all five stars reviews on a plumper yesterday......and I paid him 410 dollars for a six inch pipe I don't need and my water line broke because of him. I have no water all the sudden because of him. SUFFERED not just my money, my time, no water for another full day....AND my faith on people. So I use all my power to research the best guy out there .....cause I can bare all that when somebody out there don't have to... We finally take the very bitter bite and spend that money to change the entire main water line incoming to our house with QP. Oscar respond right away and answer all the questions late at nite. I was still skeptical cause I lost trust. QP gave me one of the best price out there and his crew are equally professional and polite. 09/02/2024 On Friday I noticed the water valve was leaking, the supplying water to the toilet. So I turned to Yelp for help, found a few Plumbing companies and sent out some quotes. QP Plumbing was the only company out of the 3 I contacted that replied. I spoke with Oscar and asked for a price, Oscar asked that I send him pictures of what I needed, within 30 minute he called me back and said $165 I said good I'll call you back. I thought it looks like a simple job so I took pictures of the valve and went to Mission Hardware. I was told there are 3 sizes and I would have to remove the valve and bring it in to get measured for proper fitment. Wow that means the water would be shutoff for a few hours. So I tried to remove the valve, I only turned it 1/4 turn it wouldn't turn anymore since I did not have the proper tools. I called QP Plumbing back and set up an appointment for Monday with a 3 hour window. The plumber arrived and started the job, after the new valve was replaced he turned on the water, Oh No! It was leaking so the water was shutoff and he tried some other valves. He mentioned that the water quality in Monterey Park is pretty bad your valve is all corroded and the previous plumber over tighten the valve. I told him I don't know about that I moved in in 2003 and never touched the valve until yesterday. He went back to his truck and brought back more tools without confiding with me of what he was going to do, he went ahead to fix the issue. After 3 hours he said it's fixed and Oscar is coming to look at the job. The end of the old pipe was cutoff and a new piece of threaded copper pipe was welded on for the new water valve. All the extra work he did was NO Charge! So next time if I have any plumbing needs QP Plumbing is going to be the only one I'm calling. A Solid 5 STARS!!! read more

I must say that after my second and totally unexpected plumbing emergency, I have to say that QP Plumbing is the best! I called Oscar and told him, my water heater failed after nearly 15 years. We discussed possible problems and scenarios of "fix it" solutions but basically, the water heater would not last long. Oscar is a caring and knowledgeable professional. I am thankful to have located a trustworthy neighborhood plumber. I hired Oscar for his video camera inspection for an underground pipe in my garage. For some reason, this pipe has been accumulating water, and I couldn't locate where it was coming from. Oscar showed up, ran the snake camera and informed me that my pipe was fine, and the likely culprit was a broken sprinkler near my dryer vent. This saved me $$$$$$ because my other option would have been to break open the concrete. During the inspection, we noticed that a section of the pipe was filled with water. He was able to tell how big of a pain this issue has been for me. Oscar suggested that I get rid of the water using a shop vac and offered to come back for a second inspection (Free of charge), so we can get a better view of the pipe. He didn't have to do this.
