Plumbing truck #37 driver was texting or watching something on his cellphone so intently that he swerved into my lane on Holt Blvd. Scraped my vehicle, and took off on a side street after I honked at him to pull over. I got a picture of the truck just before it took off and the damages to mine. Sent damage estimate to them and nothing. Ghosted me after I sent the estimate for repairs ignoring my calls, text or emails. Cost is under my deductible so it's not worth using my insurance. Once again, I am calling on High Speed Plumbing to come, and they came on a Sunday and they have things rolling for me so that I not only will fix the problem of the Apex under the sink water filtration system that caused mold damage and damage to my cabinets because the bladder and the water tanks went out three times and the filters leaked. My honest review of their plumbing services. I had 2 clogged bathroom sinks. I picked them out of 4 plumbing companies because of their low $49 snake chain removal services. They couldn't unclog the sinks using the snake chain. So they offered the Hydro Jet service. I agreed to pay $350. They tried going on top of the roof and flushing water from the roof & bathroom sinks & It was still unclogged. They said that they need to install an access valve under the main bathroom sink to try and snake it from there because the water wasn't penetrating. They quoted me $1130.00. I agreed to pay them $1070. They agreed & I thought maybe they could unclog it & snake it out from the newly installed access valve. They couldn't, so they said they need a commercial hydro jetting machine to get it unclogged. They quoted me $2500.00. I asked for less. I believed it was too much for that type of service. They lowered it to $1980.00. I said no, I said maybe $1700.00. They agreed after some back & forward. But after some deliberation with my family. I ultimately decided not to go with them because of their used car salesmen sales tactics & method. If I worked with them, I believe, I would be trapped and ripped off more because of their methods and tactics. Every little change order would be charged and I would stuck paying more than what I believe it should be. Looking back I should have stopped at hydro jetting and when with my local handyman because he fixed my plumbing issues at $1800.00. This is not how I wanted to start the new year. A couple of days after New Year's, I was doing laundry when the plumbing backed up. It was a Sunday, and after calling around, High Speed Plumbing was the only company that actually responded. They had someone at my house within a couple of hours and hydro-jetted the sewer line. I really appreciated working with Erin--he grew up in my neighborhood and still lives nearby. Having owned my home for a couple of decades, I've had more than a few bad experiences with contractors, but Erin took the time to explain what was going on and immediately put me at ease. Unlike other companies that charge just to run a camera down the line, High Speed Plumbing didn't. They showed me exactly what was happening and explained it clearly. Even though I had the sewer line replaced decades ago, the camera revealed breaks in the pipe and that the previous company hadn't run the line all the way to the main sewer in the street. I hired High Speed Plumbing to replace the line, and I can't recommend them enough. Erin and his business partner walked me through every step, showed me what they were seeing on the camera, and were upfront about pricing. When they gave me the quote, they clearly explained where potential additional charges might come up--no surprises, no games. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would. They were employees, not day laborers, and everyone was professional, friendly, and respectful of my house and yard. Genuinely great experience in a plumbing emergency. Our home suffered an unexpected main-line backup due to the faulty design of an old cast iron Pomona tee. This happened around 6am, I reached out at 8:30am, and Kyle arrived at 10:30am. Our technician, Kyle, was incredible. He drew clear diagrams to help me understand exactly why a snake couldn't clear it. He quickly provided an estimate to replace the fitting with a modern bullhorn design to eliminate future issues, and also noticed our downstairs toilet wax ring needed replacement. While I initially considered replacing the wax ring myself after researching it, I am so glad I left it to the professionals. The toilet weighed nearly 100 lbs and the floor bolts were severely rusted. Kyle gracefully applied a discount to the overall package that helped soften the blow.
