I snake it through the clean out, with a 25 footer, which seemed to work for a few weeks. But then the overflow was back. I needed a longer clean out and drain pipe exam. Magic to the rescue! Manuel came out on a Sunday, and he was easy to work with, taking his time to clean out the main, and examine the house main drain with a camera. He explained everything that he saw and gave me a current temp fix and options for future work. My galvanized pipes are probably 70 years old and are showing it's age. Wow. They say a good plumber is hard to find but look no further than Magic Rooter & Plumbing. Jr Melgoza came just 2.5 hours after I first sent a request for service to Yelp to repair my garbage disposer and he quickly diagnosed the problem: a small spoon had gotten chewed up down there. I asked if he could stay to do two other jobs I had procrastinated taking care of -- a leaky kitchen sink and replacement of my bathroom shower head -- and he kindly agreed. He went out to a plumbing store to get new parts for the sink, which took care of the leak, and also quickly installed the new shower head. The prices were extremely reasonable and he didn't even charge me for the disposer work. I really liked Magic Rooter's communication system of telling you the name of the plumber who would be coming to do the job, along with his photo, and texting you when the plumber is en route to your house. They also send a link to see his exact location on the way over so you can calculate the arrival to the minute. In addition, I liked that they gave me an initial estimate over Yelp in contrast to other plumbers who replied that they had to come by and look first. In addition, company sent text messages showing location of Junior en route on a live map and included his photo (BONUS - a major safety measure that all companies should implement!) 2) Respectful - Junior came prepared with his own shoe covers and cleaned up the area directly surrounding the plumbing issue with his own disinfectant and towels. He even generously offered to help clean up the flooded area. 3) Diligent - Junior assessed the situation and resolved the issue after multiple attempts given the severity of the backup in the pipes. He stayed for several hours until successful. He had a full schedule on Sunday and appointments after mine but made me feel at ease that he would fix the problem. 4) Quality of Work - This company offered a 30-day warranty for this plumbing issue and stands by their performance. It would behoove them to perform well to avoid subsequent visits, and so far, no recurring issues! 5) Cost - Exceptionally fair and reasonable, especially given the time and effort to resolve the issue on a weekend. 6) Emotional Intelligence - any reputable company can do the job with high reviews on Yelp. Manny's been my plumber for years. He's always fair and transparent about his pricing, and I've never had to call him back for follow-ups.

We had a weird plumbing issue. There was water available to the front and back yards, but there was no water from any of the faucets inside the house. I called Magic Rooter & Plumbing, and Manny sent Junior (Melgoza) out. Junior came to our house in less than an hour. He inspected the faucets and spigots outside. He found that we had a problem with our very dated water softener. The filter was clogged and prevented water from flowing through the pipes. Junior flipped the bypass valve on the water softener system and allowed water to come through. We now have regular water. Will likely be changing out the water filtering system. I also asked Junior to check our water pressure, which he did. And Junior didn't even charge us. He explained everything clearly. We will definitely be calling Magic Rooter & Plumbing again and will ask for Junior, if possible. read more

I was looking for a plumber in the area and saw that Magic Rooter and Plumbing had great reviews. I called them and a woman (sorry I can't remember her name) answered and took all my information. She was very polite and helpful. She said that the Service Department would call me with an ETA and cost of my repairs. Within 10 minutes I got a call from the Service Department. The gentleman that called was also very nice and answered all my questions (sorry I didn't get his name). He told me someone would be at my place between 3:00PM and 3:30PM (this was about 2:00PM). What happened....I got a call from the technician, Manny, saying he was on his way. He was at my place at the time stated. Manny arrived and again, he was very nice and polite as well. After he assessed the job, I told him that I would need him to come back tomorrow. We scheduled him to come back at 7:00AM. The next morning at 7:00AM, Manny arrived. We got the work that we scheduled in the time frame that he said. Magic Rooter and Plumbing also has great communication from talking to them on the phone, to them texting and emailing you updates and information. I am really happy with my experience with Magic Rooter and Plumbing! I don't think i've had that great of an experience with a plumber or other repair companies in the past.
