Called Alan the owner to get a quote and he responded right away. He gave me a really good quote for my restaurant and schedule the installation the next day. I met him up at my restaurant and he did the installation in less than an hour. Very wonderful experience and would definitely introduce Watchdog security to all my friends. Thanks read more

This took me way too long to write for them! But, I think it's better this way because now I can share my true experience from very beginning through these first few months of ownership! I found Watchdog online and was immediately impressed with their reviews and high marks. Any negative reviews, I took with a grain of salt. My initial interaction (email) with Alan was very professional. He was extremely prompt, efficient and friendly. When he reached out via phone, same sort of manner. Not to mention he was calling me during a family outing! Wow! I couldn't believe it. He gave me a full rundown and let me know some options based on a few question. I was so impressed by his service and wanted to get off the phone just so he could go back to his family. I love that this is a family business and it's local. I told him my husband and I wanted to research and would get back to him. He didn't pressure me at all. No pressure, no hassle, no stalking (unlike other services I had worked with...) A few months later, my husband and I decided to work with them. He was appreciative of my email, and called me when he promised to. Same professionalism and friendliness. We scheduled a time for Marcus to come out and install. I even had mistakenly told him he incorrect amount of windows, and he worked with me for my package. Installation appointment was scheduled very soon after. Marcus was very friendly and very real. He knew his stuff and took his time. Asked questions about what was best for us and our family. About a week later, our 2 dogs had knocked over one of the window sensors (rambunctious play dogs!) setting the alarm off! The response rate was fantastic. I had reached out to Alan, whom took it upon himself to come and move that sensor for us. No charge! Just as a friendly service. He came out right away too. I can't say enough good things about this company. We are so glad we went with them for our alarm and feel so much better knowing this is all in place. Thank you to the entire team!!!! read more

Alan was able to accommodate a rush request to set up our system. We recently purchased the home and inadvertently armed the system and didnt know how to work the alarm to get it to stop. Alan arrived on time, wore a mask, and was efficient and thorough. He walked us through the alarm controls, reset our codes, installed a new chip, cleared out the prior owners data, and left us with confidence we could manage our system. His service fee was as promised. No add-ons or pressure sales tactics to purchase addt'l services. Highly recommend! read more

Alan and Marcus were great to deal with. Got me a nice 6 camera system with 4T HD. Marcus worked hard to make everything right, and even helped a bit with our alarm system that had trouble and lost a magnet. Great customer service and excellent price. These guys are top notch. Don't be afraid to ask for adjustments or help, they are not a one and done type of company. I'm satisfied and love the new ring of security haha- better than an actual junky "ring" system. read more

Made a call to Watchdog Security thinking that they're a ADT authorized dealer because I wanted my security pad replaced. After talking with Alan, I found that I can get a complete updated security system at a much lower price. Alan installed my system in less than two hours and was operational when he left. He demonstrated how the system works and asked me if I had any questions. Great service. read more

Alan from Watchdog Security really came through when my grandmother and I both needed an alarm system installed in our homes. He did his best to find us the next available appointment due to the urgency of our situations. Even though the installation was not performed by Alan, he followed up the same day to make sure everything was okay and we were satisfied with the work. A few weeks later Alan made himself available to help my grandmother install additional sensors--he came out the day after I called and even came earlier than planned. He was professional and took his time to explain everything so that my grandmother was comfortable with using the new system. Definitely would recommend Watchdog Security to anyone in need of a home security system! read more

Upon doing a little research on different security companies Watchdog Security was the one for us. Alan and his team are amazing! I was able to get a quote back quickly and easily. Alan knew exactly what we needed after a phone call and we where able to start installation the same week. The installation process was smooth and done vary well with great attention to detail. We are really happy with everything, and we love our system! Thank you! I will definitely recommend Watchdog Security to anyone looking for an alarm and video surveillance system read more

Just had an alarm system installed in my home by Watchdog Security, they did a great job. Love my new 2Gig system. Installer's guys and the sales staff were very professional. I got a great deal on my alarm system. Sales guy was Morris Carr. Give him a call to get a good deal on an alarm system for your home. His number is 916-203-1090 very nice guy. I ra read more

Gave WatchDog a call they were very prompt and professional on phone when contacting. Spoke with Alan he's great and very knowledgeable about home security and camera systems. They installed an alarm system and getting ready to have them install cameras next. Thx again for all the help securing our property read more

We found Watchdog on Yelp after our neighbors house was burglarized, again, and they proved to be an excellent choice. Alan responded to our email the same day (Saturday) and came to our house to give us a quote. I will note it was Mothers Day weekend. No other firm would talk to is until Monday. After assessing our house, he explained all the options and gave his recommendation on what would work best, including what we did NOT need. He was informative but not pushy. Unlike the very aggressive quotes we got from ADT salespeople. ADT did try to undercut him by a few bucks but this just highlighted that they overcharged me the first time, so I went with Alan. Installation was simple and quick. He walked my wife through the system. We had one follow up question for him that he offered to resolve free of charge. Overall, very happy. He gave us what we needed for the best price without the fear tactics and pressure we saw from the other firms. I trust him with my families security and recommend you do too. read more

One of the worst customer service and installation experience. The sales person, Joffree, doesn't have the knowledge and doesn't keep up with the latest products that are being installed by their company. 1. He comes and makes false promises, and says that the security panel has certain features like adding additional Z-wave devices on our own. Post installation, the panel stated that this feature needs to be enabled by the dealer; I called him and he stated that the panel doesnt' allow this feature and that he gave us wrong information. Ridiculous!! How can you claim to know all about security devices and do not know about the features 2. Remote garage door monitor - He sold us the device; but the installer that they sent - Ramon, didn't know how to install and configure it. He openly told me that he will figure out the details as part of installlation. I had to spend an hour with him to configure the monitor and connecting it to a wifi connection - he didn't know any details on how to configure it. And yah, they still charged me $99 as installation fee 3. They charged my credit card twice for the initial installation and equipment fee ( I am going crazy following up with them on receiving the refund) 4. The motion sensors that they installed do not work - you have to leave at least 20 messages for somebody to respond back, and then also they don't know the answer. They want you to co-ordinate with the installer, Ramon. And by the way, Ramon, is always busy - never wants to come because he is doing an installation somewhere. And you, a Customer, go crazy coordinating with Ramon and Joffrre. 5. When Joffree came to sell the service to us, he claimed to be the local franchise owner. At the time of resolution, he makes the excuse that he is not the owner and that Alan (sacramento?) is the owner and nothing is in Joffre's hands from a resolution perspective. How can someone give their business to this company? Ridiculous. I have done the following to take these guys to order: 1. Opened a complaint with Better Business Bureau. 2. Watchdog, apparently, has CA State license and I am following up with the Department of Consumer Affairs, Sacramento 3. I also followed up with Central Security Group (which provides monitoring), and the Customer service Supervisor there told me that their team itself is having a tough time contacting someone from Watchdog security. I know others have given great reviews about this company - I would doubt it all. There are a gazillions other dealers, go with anyone else. How worse can they be? read more

Very clean professional installation of quality security cameras which I'm very satisfied with. Thank you Watchdog Security!

I hired Watchdog Security to install video security at my commercial building. Alan the owner was very professional came out himself to give the estimate. They were able to set up an install within a week just in time before my thanksgiving vacation. Alan even met me on a Saturday morning before my flight out to help go over the app and how to access. Five stars for sure and highly recommend! read more

Allan provided us the best customer service I've ever experienced in a long time. When I was calling around to different companies to compare services and pricing, watchdog remained on the top of my list. A week prior from the installation, we were victims of car vandalism and identity theft so safety is our number priority. Allan provided us with recommendations to areas that we should cover and also provided a great deal to cover all of our windows, and we have a ton! In the past, I have dealt with other major security companies but as of right now, watchdog is #1. Thank you for securing our family read more

I have a distribution business located in Sacramento, CA. When we open our new office and moved in we did everything we needed except one thing. We forgot about our security needs. I call Watchdog security and spoke with Alan. I explained the need to get the system installed ASAP and he was able to install our system on the same day after hours. He installed a alarm system that I could use my cell phone to arm and disarm as well as check on my alarm status while away. I was very happy with the service he has provided. Thank you Watchdog Security for an excellent job. read more

I worked with Alan at Watchdog Security to get my parent's alarm as well as my own alarm and home automation setup designed and installed. He had a fantastic proposal right out the gate and was very pragmatic about what we may and may not want and need. The components are state of the art, installation super efficient (looks killer!), his explanations extremely detailed (been in the industry for quite a while -- very knowledgeable) and his pricing extraordinarily fair. My wife loves the security. I love sitting in bed turning the lights off and locking the doors with my iPhone. read more

Alan and Watchdog Security are awesome. I had my initial system installed several years ago and have upgraded and expanded it twice since then. There were no high pressure sales and the installation techs have always been great. They were knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. They worked quickly and didn't leave a mess behind. I have and will continue to recommend Watchdog Security to people interested in an affordable alarm system. read more

Absolutely amazing service! Everyone I dealt with was super helpful and on it. I had a consult on Monday (which was a federal holiday) and everything installed by 2:00 on Saturday. So excited about my new security system and feel so much safer because of it! Also Jeremy was AMAZING!! read more

This guy!! Not only did he have us set up within days of calling him but he had Ana amazing quote, he called and made sure it was okay he came earlier! Which was great because my fiancé was home and it just worked out! He wasn't there too long, he answered every question I had and was extremely knowledgeable! My fiancé is level one certified as a security tech but was upset he couldn't do it himself, we couldn't be more happy with the person who did end up doing the installation! Great work! read more

We love Watchdog Security! We have been very satisfied clients for years. We work with Jeremy (sales) a total sweetheart as well as Alan. Both are wonderful. They really know the business and provide excellent service. They will meet your every need and provide a solution. They offer competitive pricing, the newest solutions and don't do a lot of up selling. It's really about your needs and not theirs. On the service side, Alan is amazing. He has a seasoned team that is knowledgable and professional. The work they have done to our home is impeccable. I am extremely detailed and picky, but I have been extraordinarily pleased with the work of Alan's team. We feel really safe in our home. We would not do business with any other company, period! read more

Joffre helped get us started with our ADT system. He told us if we EVER needed anything to give him a call (on his personal cell!) and he could help us! Instead of having to call ADT which would be a pain and they take forever to respond to a service call. In any case! We had to place a service call for a sensor that was acting up. I texted Joffree and he was super quick to reply and even sent out his tech Bryce the next day! Thanks for the quick turn around and efficient replacement of our sensor! Would highly recommend Joffree and his team. Bonus!! They are super friendly =] read more

Watchdog Security is great! Alan really helped me set up my cameras really well and worked with me on pricing. They broke everything down and explained everything to me. Watchdog installed a new security system in our office. Alan was very helpful and accommodated the urgency for the installation, he sent a tech out the day after we approved the quote (which was the best price out of 3 other services). The tech was great, he installed it very quickly even helped me with a camera issue I had from a system watch dog did not install. I highly recommend their service and will definitely be using them again. read more

I would like say that I was very impressed with the experience I had with this company. They dealt with my very particular needs with the utmost professionalism. The Technician Dustin was very knowledgeable with the equipment that they use and that speaks alot with how fast technology is changing. The Technician was on time and provided a courtesy call as I requested. I felt very comfortable on how to use the system and interactive features when the Technician left. Great Service from Alan We needed to reschedule a few times and Alan was accommodating and understood. Since we had a previous Alarm system .. we were familiar with the features of using Alarm.Com. We were able to talk about what we wanted over the phone. When Alan came out to install there was no pressure to up sell things we did not need. Install took a couple of hours and we are now have the house secured. If you are looking for professional install this was best company. The monthly price was lower than other professional install such as ADT. Also you get more features compared to most self install options. read more

Watchdog Security installed surveillance cameras around the exterior of our house. Once I contacted them they quickly made a house call explained the system and installation. Two hours later they emailed a quote and the following week two technicians arrived at the time scheduled. They were very knowledgeable and the installation was done quickly and professionally. They set up the app on my phone and explained how to use it and how to use the video recorder and monitor. I highly recommend Watchdog Security. read more

This company was the only one out of all the ones I contacted to get an alarm system for my first new house to actually come out and meet me. Alan came and impressed me with the customer service and value of all the products. Everything works great. Though I had a problem with my thermostat, Alan came promptly to my house right after I got home from work and trouble shot the problem, fixed it and even tested the whole system to make sure everything else was working properly as well. I highly recommend these guys. read more

Alan tried to bribe me to change my review tiday. Because I refused he will not come back to finish the installation of my alarm system. In the meantime I am paying monthly monitoring charges. I moved my system from one house to this house. For three months I have tried to get him to come over and reinstall my system To reinstall the system he wants to charge me $1000. $800 for equipment and $200 for service call. Then when I tried to talk to him he said he was going to call the police because I am harassing him. All I'm asking him to do is to re-install the system that I am paying for. If anyone wants to see the multiple texts between us I will be happy to provide them. I will be going to the Better Business Bureau and to Google #. I have also contacted the monitoring company and made them aware of his sketchy business practices. Caution be skeptical of the other reviews posted here I would not put it above him to make his own. Less than two hours ago he was trying to get me to remove my previous review by bribing me. read more

Just got a security camera system in place. Excellent service hands down!!!!! Will highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

I haven't used this company's services but wanted to comment on a recent experience. A guy from this company called and said something about missed call from my number. He wasn't clear on the phone and i asked to repeat. Seemed annoyed. As i was responding he cut me off and hung up. Rude and unprofessional. Important part of business is front line service. If their installation is as bad as their phone reps i would go elsewhere. read more

last year I got some quotes on a security camera system. I told them what I wanted and they told me the price and they installed it. From the very start 2 of the most important cameras didn't work. They basically said too bad, this guy is a 1 man show that works out of his wife's car. I had to pay another security co to fix his mistakes. Mr Security is the best you can get if you read his response its all a lie. he has no company vehicles he uses his wife's station for concrete. He won't fix his mistakes he says too bad for you. Use this guy at your own risks. He some how gets his bad removed. Call him for an estimate and see for yourself. My mistake was paying him before he had the 2 cameras operating read more
