I always wondered what people making movies eat on set when they are there for whole days on end. Well I finally had the opportunity to experience their commissary and wowee! It is really good. Like legit chef envisioned and presented like a 5-star restaurant somewhere downtown or in nyc! I loved every bite I had here. If I ever find myself on the lot again I will have to try everything on the menu!

Just so we all get this right--because most of the reviews here are NOT for the Commissary, but for the Cafeteria next door--this review is for the Commissary. The Warner Bros. Commissary fine dining room is a white tablecloth, full-service restaurant with a broad, elegant menu of American and French cuisine. The restaurant is not accessible to the general public unless you know someone here or are part of the Deluxe Tour. I had the salmon and was not disappointed. At the end of our meal, a dessert plate was brought out with sweets. Notes for the Warner Brothers Deluxe Tour folks (this includes me): * This is a fine dining, white tablecloth & waiter kind of place. Use your best manners. * You'll get to choose a basic beverage, a starter (soup or side salad) and an entree. This is not a buffet. * Your guide will give you specifics about photography, but basically...just your food and texting. No selfies, and absolutely no photos of others in the room. * Most of the people in the room are executives, lawyers and their staff. You'll rarely see actors dining here, though we saw Christopher Nolan during our visit.

When you see this, you know you have arrived to The Warner Bros. Studios, The Commissary!

To eat here, you gotta know someone who works here. Not open to the public. This was my first time coming here, and luckily, I was fortunate enough to know some awesome peeps, who had made that happen. Thanks again, you awesome peeps!!! :D The cafeteria here is known as The Warner Bros. Studios, The Commissary (or The Commissary or WB Cafeteria), while inside of the cafeteria is called La Cucina! The ambience here is pretty chilled, and there's tons of seating both indoors and outdoors (especially, the outside). However, if you want a fancier dining experience, there's also a private dining inside too. Whether you're dining regularly or privately, if you're even luckier, you may catch a producer or celebrity dining here too (though they might be incognito or out of makeup/character, and you may not even recognize them walking by you or even sitting near you (darn, I didn't see any today). As for the food... The Warner Bros. Commissary serves up delicious, hot, fresh and wholesome food. Everything from American, Italian, Chinese, Mexican (Poquito Mas) to burgers, salads, wraps, soups, and even a mini desserts section (such as Pie/Cake of the Day, brownies, rice krispies bars, and chocolate chip cookies). Drinks sold here include bottled waters, juices, sodas, assorted coffees and teas. They even have fountain drinks too. The menu changes weekly here. I ended up getting one of their Hot Entree Dish: $9.95 Country Fried Chicken poured over sausage gravy. Served with 2 sides: Red Bliss Smashed Potatoes & Sauteed Baby Broccolini with Mushrooms. I also got a Diet Snapple & a huge Rice Krispy Treat too. Both were $2.50 each. In total with taxes $16.37. Affordable!!! The chicken was moist and tender. Came off the bones easily while the sausage gravy was hearty and seasoned nicely. The red potatoes were also tender and large portion sized too! The broccolini was fresh and sweet, very tasty! Overall, a well balanced meal. My Diet Snapple was cool and refreshing. The Rice Krispy treat that I ate later on was amazingly delicious! It was soft and very marshmallowy! I forgot how good those things tasted, lol! My two other friends also got different meals. One of them got from The Deli: Smoked Turkey Sandwich on a pretzel bun. Her meal came with a small side of potato salad and a soda. While my other friend got from Poquito Mas: a small tostado served with a side of chips and a soda. Afterwards, we visited the Warner Bros. Company Gift Shop, and my friend gave us a walking tour of the Warner Bros., Studio Lots, before we had left. Nice way to spend an afternoon with friends. Overall, it was a beautiful day to be dining al fresco, while people watching too. Looking forward to coming back here again, especially, to try out their private dining restaurant too!

Pretty nice location to eat on the lot. I believe you have to have a pass. This location is not opened to the public. I'm visiting my husband at work today. Received a private tour, which was amazing. Lunch was shrimp lettuce wraps and steak lettuce wraps. Very tasty and inexpensive. WB treats employees well!!! What a great experience today has been....

I fell in love before i even saw the menu. Now don't even get me started on that world class water. Best water I've ever consumed. Perfectly cold and delectably drinkable. They have a whole freaking sign for their sauces and dips. I'm in love. I got a Shirley temple and if i could marry a place instead of a person, the Shirley temple would be my reason. It was FANTASTIC. Our server, Isaiah, was absolutely amazing and on top of things, refilling our water before we even hit half glass. Not to mention his energy and vibe was so welcoming and fun. We got the PuPu platter for two, came out within minutes, I could spend the rest of my life eating that alone. Isaiah recommended his favorite sauces, Garlic Chive and Chipotle Citrus, they were amazing. We got the shrimp and lobster roll, I officially entered heaven. The Isles of Club sandwich was the finishing touch that had me laughing from joy. Near the end of our dining we meant Max, another server, who is absolutely fantastic, brought us everything we needed, boxes, sauce containers, bags, to-go dessert. His energy was also amazing and super fun. Now some extra things to note: -I'm not a big mac salad girly, but holy moly guacamole i loved their Mac salad. -anything tempura/fried in this place is heaven itself -their fries are perfect -the vibe is beyond life you might start crying in joy -be ready to want to buy everything on the menu and then some -I downloaded yelp just to leave this review Overall, Broken Compass Tiki is the perfect place for everyone. Their service is top tier, the food is delicious, the water is a treasure, and so much more. I will be back and I hope everyone has a chance of experiencing pure joy at this place.

Broken Compass Tiki is a pirate themed tiki bar in Burbank…read more They don't having a parking lot, but it was very easy to find street parking just around the corner on a Sunday afternoon. The front of the building is a little vaguely marked, and the entrance has speakeasy vibes, which was a surprise. Upon walking in the front door, there is some tiki décor and a small counter in the rear. I remember thinking to myself "what the heck, this is it?". I checked in at the host stand on the left, and was handed me a boarding pass. She then led us through a hidden door behind what looked like a shipping crate. We were now in the real Broken Compass. The interior is a good size. The two-sided bar seats around a dozen. There is a lounge side of the bar that has two large booths along the wall, and another area with comfortable looking couches and lounge chairs. The main dining room has some tiki hut booths, and two sections of tables with half booth and half chair. The décor is pretty extensive with a good mix of pirate, nautical, and tiki themes. There is a lot of bamboo, thatch, rope, cargo netting, skulls and skeletons, port holes, octopus tentacles, jellyfish, tiki lights, and more. The ceiling is dark with various nautical and pirate markings, and even tied up ship sails overhead. The tiki hut booths have the parrots from the enchanted tiki room above them. Even the two restrooms are nautical themed, with beach and marine sounds playing. There is a lot of great décor to look at. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy yet. By the time we left a few hours later, it was starting to get busy. We decided to sit at the bar. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower ($14) for an afternoon snack. The serving size was generous, and the buffalo sauce had a good tang. It was served with some sauces, and was surprisingly filling. A nice feature of the cocktail menu is that each drink displays one to three compass stars to indicate the strength of the drink. Their cocktails use a great variety of liquors including ones you don't often see. Many of the ingredients are made in-house. I started out with Chupacabra's Vacation (Demerara Rum, Jamacian Rum, Pomegranate Reduction, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $17). It is served with a flaming lime on top and a little fire show. It was balanced with a light booziness, some light pomegranate flavor, and a cinnamon sprinkle on top. She started out with the Bittersweet Paradise (Jamacian Rum, White Rum, Campari, Passionfruit Syrup, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, two-star boozy rank, $18). It didn't drink boozy at all, and was passion fruit forward, with light bitterness. My second cocktail was the Bermuda Dune Buggy (Gin, Overproof Rum, Kumquat Liqueur, Cassis, Orange, Lime, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $18). It had a very unique garnish of a Chartreuse infused gummy which was delicious. The drink was nicely balanced, and didn't really drink boozy even with overproof rum in it. They have a rotating monthly cocktail and she tried the Tropic Like It's Hot (Coconut Washed Lemongrass Infused Rum, Mango, Lemon, Coconut Water, Amaro, $17) which was created by one of our bartenders Daniel. It was served in a Spam can and was light and refreshing with a nice pop of fruit at the start, and a very nice coconut flavor. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and had great conversation with our bartenders Daniel and Monica. They also provided excellent service. Broken Compass supports payment with the InKind app which gives you 20% back (10% on Friday and Saturday) in InKind cash. We had a really great time here, and the drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere were excellent. I purchased a Hork (Horse-shaRK) mug for $50 to bring home as a souvenir. We would definitely return again when in the area.

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!
