Bear with me..... this will be a long review so if you're not a reader please read enough to get the just of this review. First of all, it's in the part of afternoon where people are dome walking up a d down a hill to the Coloseum and have worked up quite a thirst or hunger. They have outside seats as well as inside. Well, the restaurant is 3/4 empty and people kept walking by tourists and locals alike. It's definitely not a great weekend. We walked past this he*l hole of a restaurant on our way to the Coliseum in Rome. On the way to the Coliseum we stopped for my sister to buy art from a guy that drew his paintings the same way. After she made her purchases we asked for somewhere to use the bathroom because my sister and my Mum needed to go. (Bare with me please. I wanted to write this while I wasn't quite so miffed). So we went to another restaurant but their restaurant was disgusting. Then we finally went to the restaurant the guy told us to go to. Before using the restroom we asked if it was okay and the waiter said yes and pointed them to the restaurant very politely. So they were down there 20 minutes. My sister had a body suit on and ladies you know sometimes it takes awhile to put in. While I was waiting for them I bought an overpriced Coca-Cola so at least we didn't just use the bathroom. I bought something too. The fat,ugly, greasy and bloated owner with uncombed hair begrudgingly took my money for his overpriced Coca-Cola, which he needed the money in his dirty and vacant restaurant. When my Mum and Sis exited the bathroom, he started to loudly say that he has a restaurant and not a public restroom. He them demanded 10 € to use the bathroom. I shouldn't have done it but we're in another country and I didn't want any problems. Plus, he needs the money much more than me! Wanted???!!! More like Unwanted!!!!!!!!!! !! Do not go eat here! The food looked disgusting and the manager is mad and hovers over his patrons. By the way if he didn't want us to us the restroom they surely could have said no and we would go else where. **** you should change your restaurant into a public restroom because your restaurant is ridiculous and dry. read more

I thought that Wanted was so-so. While Wanted's location certainly ensured privacy in a romantic way due to it being tucked away on a narrow road that lead to the Coliseum, the food expectations didn't seem to be met during our visit. Pizza was on the list for lunch, and so my wife & I tried a four cheese pizza with pepperoni, as well as a sausage, onion & cheese pizza. To drink, we both had two Coca-Colas. Needless to say, both of our pizzas were underwhelming. Both pizzas seemed to be slightly gooey and soft, and without that crispness. Even more, it didn't seem to have entirely too much flavor. The four cheeses were a bit different, in that there was a blue cheese of some sorts added that really downgraded the flavor some. The two of us sat around for awhile and reluctantly finished our pizzas. Given that it was raining at the time, we were in no hurry to walk back to our hotel on Via Cavour. While our server was friendly and attentive, we took in the restaurant interior & exterior scenery (which I must say is very good). The pricing for our lunch was reasonable, yet I would prefer to return for dinner than order pizza again. Given the extraordinary number of pizzerias within Rome as it is, I would have to give Wanted's neighbors a try before ordering their pizza again. 5 stars for the scenery and location, 4 stars for the service, yet 2 stars for the lunch. read more

Too big of a menu, the decor is inconsistent, (specifically the table cloths do not match the theme) and service could be better. However, the food for me was excellent! Huge kudos to the chef for dealing with the oversized menu and still making the food delicious. I "Wanted" (haha) more afterwards! If the restaurant makes some simple changes my review would easily be 5 stars, but for the small issues force me to give an honest 3/5. Fortunately, the food is the bottom line, and again, it is excellent. This is an edited review, I believe my old rating of 4 stars was too high because of the issues. So shocked by the low reviews! My boyfriend and I were referred by a local who loves Wanted's pizza, so we stopped by and split a house bottle of wine, calzone al prosciutto (€8 mozzarella and ham), and the pizza al salame piccante (€8.50 hot salami). It was all delicious! I could honestly say it was the best calzone I've ever eaten! The portions were huge and the meal was cheap. I want to say beware of low ratings with very few reviews and no pictures they seem suspect . anyway I got the roasted lamb and potatoes ... omg the meat was falling off the bone... the potatos I didn't even have to add salt or additional seasonings and they were not hard somewhat soft to bite into. Terrible service, beyond rude!! We sat down at a table of four, the waiter barely acknowledged us while walking us over to the table. Many tables open, there was no rush, and we sat for at least ten minutes before the waiter returned. He seemed annoyed to have to take our order. Our daughters had eaten previously and weren't hungry, but my husband and I wanted something other than pizza or pasta having been in Rome already four days. We ordered a salad, and a chicken "burger" and the waiter put his hand up and interrupted us saying if there's four people seated there needs to be four meals, and no sharing allowed. We were confused and again he said no, and we'd have to leave. What?!? Are you kidding me? The place is dead and you're telling us to leave? I had ordered a burger, which initially threw me off when I wasn't asked how I would like my meat. Once the food arrived, it reminded me off my childhood, for it tasted like cafeteria food. I have to say, I'm pretty surprised by some of the low reviews! A co-worker suggested this place after hearing my husband and I would be traveling to Italy, and we were so happy with her recommendation! After touring the coliseum, we walked around the corner and stopped in for a late lunch. The vibe is so relaxed and comfortable! It was raining and our previous tour guide has told us, "you find the best of Rome when you can sit in a wine bar for hours and warm up out of the cold". He couldn't have been more right and this couldn't have been more of a perfect location to do just that! My husband and I spent the next few hours sharing a bottle of wine, all while sampling the cheese and meat platter. Delicious! As well, our server continued to bring us bread with olive oil and herbs! The atmosphere is so warming and the service was great. We even accidentally left a suvinor bag at our table, and they had stored it behind the bar and remembered who we were when we came to pick it back up! All in all, I would absolutely recommend! Glad I for once didn't read the reviews first! Don't believe the "hamburgeria" in the sign. This is no burger joint! Everything was exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared. The roasted vegetable pizza was perfect, and the eggplant parmigiana was mostly eggplant. The staff was helpful and attentive. We really enjoyed our late lunch here. We stopped here on our way to Colosseum to have a quick lunch. They have outside sitting and inside which is air conditioned. We opt out for inside because it was 95 Fahrenheit outside. Our server was very attentive and food was amazing. We ordered ravioli, stuffed zucchini, veal, and pizza. We were hungry, thirsty, and wet as it has rained all morning during our excursion to the Coliseum and Forum. One in our party had developed blisters so we popped into the Formecia across the street for some bandages. Having taken care of that emergency we thought we would give Wanted a try. Truthfully we didn't expect too much. They apparently market themselves as a burger and pizza place, but it was close and we were wet... So in we went. I think there must be new management or they liked us or something as we had a very pleasant experience. We had the best pizza in Rome so far (and we spent two days in Trastevere and tried the highest rated on Yelp...). I posted a picture of my pizza already-capricciosa. My daughters both had margarita pizzas and they had very fresh and great looking basil leaves. While I'm sure other places do that, it has been an exception rather than the rule for us. I am a bit confused by a precious poster concerning a charge for a second bottle of water. I wish they would have said where they got one for free. If this is the first posting you read about Rome restaurants, take note. You pay for your water! Just sayin... I was torn between three and four stars but after some contemplation I realized they delivered more than I expected so 4 it is. This place should literally be "WANTED" by the police. I am a big foodie and as a waitress myself, I have never had such a terrible experience at a restaurant before. From the moment me walked in to our table for four, our water glasses were taken away because we had our own bottles due to just having walked through the Forum. My friend has a severe tree nut allergy and was given an attitude when asked if the food contained nuts. Then, I ordered the Capricciosa pizza which claimed to have artichokes but my pie had ONE SLIVER. After trying to send it back to be fixed it came back EXACTLY THE SAME. After sending it a second time it came back with more artichoke and just as soggy. When it came to paying the bill, the guy that seemed to be the owner told us it could only be put on one card. This place deserves no stars - Wandered over here with my girlfriend as we wanted a quick bite before starting our tours of the Colloseum and Roman Forum. The guy seating us already looked annoyed before we even asked to sit outside. When we asked to sit outside he sat us close to two other tables despite there being multiple other open ones. All he did was set down menus when my girlfriend asked if we could instead sit inside, he looked at her angrily and said "is that your final choice" and she jokingly said "maybe" as she thought he was teasing and he turned very close to her and rudely told her this was the final choice. We hadn't even ordered!? You didn't have to move anything besides menus!? He sat the menus down at the new table and we walked right on out without turning back even as he yelled something in Italian at us. Found an amazing place nearby! STAY AWAY. After almost 3 weeks in Europe, we wanted something American... yea, no. Major fail. We ordered a pasta to share which wasn't terrible. We also ordered 2 "burgers"- 1 beef, 1 chicken. It was literally the meat on toasted bread. When I say bread, I do mean white sandwich bread. The bacon on the burger was waaaaaay undercooked, the cheese was worse than Kraft singles. The chicken was overly breaded and it made it way too crispy on top of that overly toasted bread. They brought out a bottle of bbq sauce, I didn't check the exp date on it but it tasted old. It took them about 40 min to bring these out and we literally couldn't eat more than a bite of the "burger". We ate the fries, only because we were hungry. We paid the entire bill, regardless of how terrible it tasted, and walked away. A second after we walked away, I noticed I had forgotten my umbrella. My fiancé ran back to get it. No one, other than the employees, had walked past us. Our table had been cleaned and cleared by them, and my umbrella went missing. They all denied taking it. It was a 6 euro umbrella so no biggie but it's the principle. This place was good enough for us to make it to another night of our trip. We each ordered a pizza, they are think crust and large enough to be a single serving. Could also be a good appetizer for the table. This place was a few feet from our hotel so very convenient. It was our first night in Italy and we were excited to try the food unfortunately it was just okay and the waiter didn't seem like he wanted to be working. When I asked for a sweet white wine he suggested one. When I took a sip it wasn't sweet and when I questioned him about it he said he didn't have sweet wine only aromatic! So why did he give it to me? I was going to split a pizza with my daughter but he said they were only big enough for one person. It actually was really large and we ended up wasting a lot of food. My husband actually enjoyed the food and dragged me back in a second time. That night the waiter was very friendly and helpful. We were so impressed we ate lunch here twice during our 5 days in Rome. Between us, we had 4 different pizzas, pasta and an appetizer. All were great. (My favorite was the Pizze Ramano - sardines and capers). We tried it first because it was close to our hotel. Stopped in after touring the forum and Colosseum for the day. The only reason this place is in business is because of its location, and stupid tourists who didn't look up these yelp reviews. One of my friends ordered a pizza that said it had artichokes on it. When she finally received the pizza there was one artichoke slice on it. After sending it back and asking for more artichoke to be put on it we received the pizza back as normal. We had to send it back AGAIN, and physically show the staff what was wrong, since there was a language barrier. They literally threw artichoke slices on the pizza and the server handed it back angry as all hell. I would walk to the next restaurant down the block avoid at all costs.
