They even call a couple days ahead to remind you that you have an appointment, which is good cos I always forget. Love how friendly everyone is. I came in for just a basic eye check up and for new prescription glasses. The eye exam didn't take long, about 30 mins or so. The doctor asked a lot of questions to make sure you and your eyes are healthy. Great place to get you eyes check out.

I've been coming here for almost 20 years because of Dr. Kao. She is professional, caring, and…read moretruly understands her patients' needs. The care I receive from her is the main reason I continue to return. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the glasses service has been very disappointing. I was told my glasses would be ready in two weeks, but after nearly three weeks, I still hadn't received any update. I called and left a message, but no one returned my call. When I called again, I was told it might take another week. By the time I receive my glasses, it will have been close to a month since I placed the order. Even more frustrating is the lack of communication and follow-up. The eyewear service seems to be getting worse over the years. I will probably continue to see Dr. Kao because she is excellent, but I will likely purchase my glasses elsewhere next year.

Liann gave a great overview of the policy and was way more helpful than Site for Sore Eyes, my usual optometry that turned me down for the same request. Short Answer: you can, but would need to show documentation of the vision correction procedure (LASIK, EVO ICL, etc) with the date and doctor's name. This varies by store and insurance in California. No issues if you have a prescription. Liann helped me through my order, got it processed online, and I'm about two weeks away from receiving my Ray-Bans. Happy, easy experience. Would recommend.

I truly believe that both doctors are great and will appropriately share feedback with their team in an effort to grow and learn. Thank you Dr Tran for reaching out directly :) My family and I have been going to Focus Optometry for close to fifteen years. We all get our eyes checked here, and typically buy glasses here as well. It was really convenient living close by as kids, and we always had generally good experiences with Dr Choi and Tran. However, since they moved locations, I've noticed a huge dip in their customer service/selection. I recently went in because my glasses broke (purchased a year and a half ago at Focus). I made an appointment and arrived on time and waited a bit, then was told I could go look at glasses and someone would be with me. Soon, one of the associates arrived and she had a sheet for my insurance. I told her multiple times that I had new insurance under my husband, and I insisted on seeing that sheet as well. She got another girl to print it out and then barely explained anything to me before walking away to help another customer. Regardless of the insurance, I felt like I wasn't a customer that they cared about. Not one smile, how are you, how can we help you. Instead they talked down to me and had no empathy for the fact that this was the THIRD pair of focus optometry glasses that have broken in the past ten years. I ended up selecting a frame that was cute and one of the associates told me those were no good. I ignored her and went to a different associate and asked for a price. Without telling me the price she told me those frames were discontinued and they no longer make them. I asked why they were on display and she shrugged and said that's why she put them up higher so nobody would grab them. So I asked alright, can I see glasses similar to these then? And she immediately points me to a locked case of Tiffany and Co / Gucci glasses like girl I know what you're doing. I ended up grabbing my broken glasses and I just left. Over sixteen years of going here and I'm pretty sure I'll be finding a new optometrist.

The lady on the phone was very polite and attentive to all my questions. I was pleased and booked an appointment. When I walked in the woman in front was very polite. Got all my info. While I was waiting one of the Dr.'s came and checked in with me if I was helped. Dr. Nguyen followed her after a couple minutes. Checked my eyes with discussed my options for both glasses and contacts. I have astigmatism in one eye and now I needed reading glasses as well along with vision. He was patient. Had me try on contacts and gave me extras to try. I went back to see him for a second time as I was not fully satisfied with my new contacts, so he again very patiently listened to my concerns, fitted me with another set and I was on my way. I found cheaper pricing online and so went back to him again and he gave me prescription for the ones that I wanted. No questions asked but continued to be polite and listened to the concerns. Dr. Nguyen is very patient. Even though I am not Dr. Arii's patient she is always polite. If you are looking for a place for glasses or contact lens and do not want to spend a lot of $$$$, try this place. They hear you out and recommend the best. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and team for fitting me with the best contacts out there:)
