This place has been my go to since I was a child. They have switched ownership but the care has been the same great care. They are pretty good with scheduling but do have different optometrist so that may be the only schedule restriction for some. They are great though. They are quick but thorough with their eye exams. They will check off any concerns that may have pointed out from the exam before. They also make sure to do follow ups for contact/glasses fittings. They are also great with finding room in the schedule for immediate issues or concerns. This has been a great place and I will continue to go here indefinitely. read more

I have already give this place a google review, but I just want to be thorough. they will not give you your prescriptions that you pay for until you agree to buy their overprice products, be it glasses or contact lens. even if you ask them for it. just like every working adult, I have works and after while I forgot about it, once I finally remember to ask them again, they said that it is expire and require you to come visit and pay them again. which is moronic because I know they are not going to give your prescription until you buy their stuffs. pretty much scamming people for their money. I personally wouldn't recommend, unless you are planning to buy their products after your visit. read more

I've been a patient at Eyevue for over 10 years even between ownership changes. The current optometrist really is great. They don't try to oversell you on glasses and frames (some places feel like a used car sales place) and do a good job on my prescription. They were even able to convince my insurance to provide more coverage because my prescription (since it is so severe) indicated that my contacts are a medical necessity. Highly recommend EyeVue! I have been coming here for a couple years now. My last visit was with Dr Cho and I don't remember ever having an eye exam that comprehensive! Felt like my eyes were really being taken care of. My last appointment was 2 years ago because of my insurance but I also came in for contact fitting and she recommended me a new product of the brand I was previously using. I can see so well with my glasses! I can see crystal clear! Dr.Cho is an excellent doctor who truly does a very through exam...she asked my history and really did many tests. This is the first time in 4 years that I can see so well! I just moved back from Orlando and realized how much better the technology is for eye exams. The eye doctor seemed overall pretty friendly but I found it an unenjoyable experience because of the used car sales tactics they used. They confirm one price over the phone and another price at the very end that sneaks a surprise 75 dollar charge on you that no one makes you aware of. They also don't provide you the prescription unless you pay for the extra 75 bucks that they don't tell you about at first. Also, I wonder what they do with the data that they collect from you since the place appears to have low business ethics. It's unfortunate and I don't like that they made me feel like I got hustled. read more

This place does not respect all Covid protocols. Customers are asked to remove their masks in an indoor space for a picture (which is risky and completely avoidable, since you don't need to see anyone's full face for an eye exam). When I expressed discomfort with that protocol, I was threatened with a complete cancellation of my appointment. (This was in spite of me clarifying my preferences over the phone a day before the appointment.) Customer service is shockingly rude to the point of bullying and all requests for reasonable reduction of risk are met with stonewalling and rushing along the appointment, citing that the doctor is busy. I left in tears. This business lost three customers and a lot of goodwill today. Take your money and self respect to another business that doesn't risk your health and safety. read more

I do not trust the doctors here. Their exams are rushed. They skipped color blindness test and other standard tests. I was in here in September for my yearly exam. I left feeling like I did not get the prescription I needed. In the exam room I told her I still couldn't see clearly with the prescription she was showing me and she huffed and said, "fine, I will give you a higher prescription if that's what you want." I DON'T WANT A HIGHER PRECIPITATION, I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE!!! My sight is very important for my line of work. I am a wildlife biologist and I need to be able to identify an animal/bird to SPECIES from a far distance! My eyes are what pays my bills!! In October I went to a different practice for a second opinion. They were a lot more thorough with my exam. My prescription ended up being .5 higher than what was prescribed to me by Dr. Chen. That is a huge difference! And now I can actually see. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your eye exams. read more

I recently got my eyes checked at a different location and needed to find a place to order glasses so I went onto my vision insurance website and found Eyevue. I decided to go here because of the great reviews below. I was expecting to go to the store and pick out some glasses for myself because I got my eyes checked at another place. Boy was I wrong!! Even though it wasn't busy, I loved the care and attention to detail the optometrist gave me. I told her I never bought glasses for myself before and she went through the whole store to find glasses to fit my (big) head. She picked out 10+ frames for me to try and told me why she picked it out for me. We ended up narrowing the frames down to 6 frames and the decision was ultimately mine right? She gave a lot of input and told me why some frames didn't work. She also showed a lot of interest and enthusiasm when we found a frame that looked exceptional for me! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for frames or even for eye exams (even though I didn't get one here) because of how great the service was and I know they'd do a good job with that! read more

I really enjoyed both Dr.Buu and Dr.Pham. They're so informative and friendly. I loved that. In all my years of wearing contacts I was never educated. Five stars for the extremely soft spoken Dr. Buu! She's the sweetest optometrist I know. I've seen her for a few years now and she's great. I like that she takes her time and that she explains everything throughout examinations. She's genuinely caring and I trust her wholeheartedly. I only wish there were a wider selection of eye glasses to try on in the office. I can always order glasses from the catalog, but it's always better to see how they look on. I've been seeing Dr. Buu for over five years and have absolutely no complaints. At times there are waits, but they have always been reasonable. Her examinations are very thorough and she is extremely gentle. I'm always amazed at how effortless it is for her to take out my contacts! :P She also takes the time to explain any issues and concerns that I have regarding my eyes. Eyevue has a very good selection of glasses - quite a few name brands and some surprisingly fashionable and affordable lesser known brands. On my last visit I was looking for a particular Fendi frame. Unfortunately, they didn't carry it and could not order it. The receptionist explained that this is probably because Fendi discontinued the frame and pulled it from their catalog. I was disappointed, but I found another pair that I liked. The receptionist pulled my insurance information and explained all the costs and coverages. The process was quick and easy. I can't wait to pick them up! read more

Today was my first time coming here after reading the reviews from yelp. I met with Dr. Buu who was very thorough with my exam. I came here for the regular eye exam and the contacts exam. During the eye exam, Dr. Buu asked which contacts I used. I told her I use freshlook colors green and Air 2 Optix Night and Day (clear contacts) and I switch off. I asked her for both brand prescriptions and she told me that in order for her to write me a prescription with both, I would have to pay for 2 contacts exam and pay an additional $25. I asked her why and she said because she would need to fit each brand of contacts. I came in with my fresh looks and told her she could examine the fresh looks on me that I was currently wearing that way she wouldn't have fit me for a new pair of freshlooks. She refused. I told her that I wouldn't need both brands of new contacts to try on. I've never had a problem getting my prescription for two different brands of contacts from previous optometrists. The prescription is the same and doesn't change. I'm giving her an extra star because she saw that I was upset and said that if I wanted she would just charge me for the regular exam and I can get my contact exam somewhere else. I really didn't want to go through the hassle of taking off work to schedule another appt somewhere else so I just took the prescription for the Air 2 Optix. I thought this was classy of her which is why I''m giving her an additional star. I won't be coming back here because I've never experienced an eye doctor charging for 2 contacts exams for the same prescription for contacts. Also, if you get a contacts exam, they usually give you a free contacts solution trial bottle of your choice. Here, I had to specifically ask her for one. I didn't like that she didn't give it out like other optometrists i've been too. Last year, I went to Vision Insight Optometry in Great Mall Milpitas and the optometrist had no problem writing me a prescription for both freshlooks and Air Optix 2 for no extra charge. I will NOT be coming back here from now on. read more

I came in and the receptionist Diana was very helpful. She really knows what she is doing. I told her what i was looking for and she showed me a variety of glasses. She mentioned that there was a sale going on and that i can order other sunglasses or glasses that they did not have in the store. I got a pair of prescription sunglasses in the tint that i want.
