I had an appointment scheduled for 5PM, got here 15 min before, on Father's Day, only for it to be "closed until further notice". I was never notified by any form of contact. I found out by showing up in person, & seeing a sign "Closed until further notice". Not only was it a waste of time, but it was a waste of resources. Extremely unprofessional to not cancel ahead of time when they know appointments are scheduled. Grateful to not have given such an unprofessional business my service.

3.5 rounded up to 4 Been coming here for years... Mostly due to convenience. I live close by and Vision Insight is one of the few Optometrists that always took all my insurances, no out-of-network nuisances to deal with. The prices for the exams are also reasonable and competitive. The eye doctors seem very young, but are professional and take the time to explain everything. Most of the sales/ support staff are easy to work with as well. There is an older Asian lady that can be a bit pushy, but I got no issues telling her off... They also have plenty of Choices, with a massive inventory when it comes to Designer Frames and Sunglasses. The store is not small and they make good use of the available space. Prices are steep, probably has to do with the fact that they're inside a mall and need to cover high overhead costs. Vision Insight gets fairly busy, especially towards the end of the year when a lot of folks like myself are scrambling to use up their benefits instead of loosing them. They do accept walk-ins! Thank the stars for that!! Make sure you get here when the store opens in the morning for the best chance to be seen.

How long does it normally take for glasses to be ready for pick-up?

If we don't have the lenses in stock it usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks for glasses to be ready. If there is a delay or rejection on the order it can take another 1 to 2 weeks also.

They scheduled an appointment for my eye exam within 2 weeks. Now? It's all changed. Wow!! It's so obvious these guys really hate money!! They hate customers! No appointments for months, nobody picks up the phone when I call, and the stupidest, most ridiculous part: They force you to have an appointment just to get damn eyeglasses which they never told me about when I spoke to them on the phone. I wasted my time driving to the office on my day off hoping to order glasses. I tried to call before I left but nobody answered the phone. When I arrived the rude, judgemental valley girl sitting at the front desk rudely and condescendingly told me they only do eyeglasses by appointment. When I asked why she made up excuses about how they're "short staffed." LOL. Oh honey! Eyeglasses aren't rocket science. Any receptionist at every clinic can do them. Those two bored receptionists were just sitting on their ass not doing anything. I know they could've helped me. I used to think very highly of this business. Now it's obvious they hate money and hate customers. I hope they go bankrupt. It's very clear that they will considering how empty the store was and how they turn away paying customers. Especially for eyeglasses, their number 1 revenue source.

People are nice when you can manage to get their attention. They do have frames to select from which provides added options.

Super unprofessional and they will try to take advantage of your insurance and bill extra. My dad has two insurances and he came in for an eye exam and they billed both of his insurance. I called to order contacts and they said I had to pay some cost out of pocket. When I questioned them, they said they are using my left over credit carried over from last year. But if that was the case, they should have been able to charge the remaining amount on my current allowance. It wasn't until I asked them to explain step by step that they billed my insurance correctly. On top of that, they said they will call me back to ask the doctor about insurance. They never called me back, I had to reach out to them MULTIPLE times. Horrible experience and I will switch optometrists.

However, the past few years have made me reconsider. It has been increasingly difficult to get someone to answer the phone to even schedule an appointment. I have been calling for over 2 weeks to try and make an appointment but every time I call, there is a busy dial. In addition, the quality of the glasses lens has been extremely poor lately. The lens on both my boyfriend's and my pairs have flaked off in no less than 2 months. Even with a free 1-time replacement, the lens still flake and look horrible. My older glasses never had this issue. I recently moved and have been trying to justify staying with Dr. Lai, but I think I will finally make the decision to move onto another optometrist who is more local and can provide the quality of care I used to receive from here.

Dec. 2025 - I had my annual eye check up from Bella x Specs Optometry and I asked for facility recommendations and suggested Furlong Vision Correction. I had a pamphlet, looked them up and scheduled my complimentary consultation on 1/6/2025. 1/6/2025 consultation day - Jennifer was assigned to me and she was very helpful! I felt at ease that they werr giving a lot of information about my options and if I'm a candidate for Lasik surgery. Dr. Michael Furlong also checked in on my consultation day. Good news: I'm a good candidate to proceed with Lasik. I asked for potential payment options so I can prepare with the surgery cost. I applied for CareCredit financing and got approved. I then scheduled my surgery appointment on 1/30/2025. There were multiple pre-operative measurements I took to make sure I'm all set. The whole process was easy! I got nervous a few days before my surgery. It wasn't a good idea that I checked videos about Lasik. Anyway, I checked in with Jennifer and expressed my concerns and she addressed it very kindly. Day of surgery (1/30/2025): I followed the instructions I have and made sure I had a good rest. I took the sedative pill they offered so I can be more calm during the process. The actual procedure was fast and easy, thank goodness! Every step -- the doctors where there and they were informing me of what's happening. Dr. Furlong was present and checked my eyes after the procedure. I think it took less than 15 minutes. My vision was very hazy at first and that day, he suggested to sleep/rest as much as I can. Next day (1/31/2025): My initial post-operative appointment. I did have a very irritating itchiness in my right eye that subsided the next day. Again, following as much as I can with the post op activities really helped! Now, it's been almost 2 months. My vision is almost 20/20 though my left eye has -0.50 grade. I've been wearing corrective eyeglasses for 15+ years. My last check up before my lasik surgery was OD: -5.00 DS, OS: -4.00 -1.25 x 180. A huge change and I have way better vision now! I'm maintaning the preservative-free eye drops. My experience and lasik surgery with Furlong Vision Correction is a success! Thank you so much Dr. Furlong for ensuring my lasik surgery went extremely well! :) Thanks to Jennifer, Maeghan and the rest of your team for making it possible!
