A day later after i got my shawarma. Disapointing..

I if could give this so called " Walmart" a negative 500.. I would, I went to walmart at 4:00 am because i craved a shawarma. Then the employee proceeds to me "Sorry we're closed." Even though they're open 24/7.. I asked why,, He said because he didnt feel like it. EXCUSE ME? Im starving and you refuse to give me my food? Unacceptable. I expect better from this walmart. Do better.

Great walmart with everything you've come to expect from Walmart. They actually had pools in stock (they've been a hot commodity since last year) so I was really pleased to find them. Other than that, the aisles are normally well stocked with a good variety of items.

Why are there only 4 out of 30 registers operating.. even the self checkout are closed. The lines are super long and hardly moving. I will never be returning to this location again..this is crazy..

The new WalMart Supercenter in the Woodlawn Lake neighborhood. The city improved the entire Woodlawn road from I-10 to Bandera to ensure a safe and scenic trip to the store. This Walmart offers groceries, automotive products and services, plus a large variety in department ware. They are very clean, sometimes too crowded on weekends but a pleasure to shop there at any hour. Many restaurants are near there to enjoy breakfast and lunch. But Walmart opens at 6am to begin shopping before the crowds and hot sun bears down on the day. They have a beautifully large garden center that is a real treat to just sit out there on the patio furniture.

If there was only one store I could shop for the rest of my life, it would probably be Target…read more However, I am not sure if it would be this Target in particular. This location has had some very much deserved TLC over the last few years, and it is probably one of the most "modern" looking Targets in San Antonio. This location has everything and anything you can imagine and more! From plants, to home decoration, groceries, clothing, school supplies, you name it! However, the main reason why I am not giving them a full five stars is because of the way this location has their product placement. They have items from the same category spread in two separate locations. Why? My guess it that they want customers to walk all over the store to find products. Here is one example, I was looking for Jurassic World toys for my kid and they had them spread in two locations of the store (toy section and a random path in other section of the store). Another example would be their school supplies sections which again was spread between two different locations, making us go back and forth to get what we actually needed. I would prefer if they had everything in one place and just let customers shop a little more efficiently instead of making us guess where the second part of what we are looking for is actually located.

There was a man standing there in front of the door and he tells me the restroom is closed and I can use the one by the pharmacy while pointing off in the distance. I ask him if someone is in there and he says yes, but if he let's me in then he has to let everyone else in and again he directs me to the pharmacy. I'm irritated now and really need to use the bathroom so I tell him that and he finally moves. After this I left and did not even buy anything I was so disgusted. I don't plan on going back to this or any Target.

Sombrero hats, shoes, Mexican dresses, toys, the list goes on. Be careful about the stairs; they are rather steep. I love how the signs tell you to keep your children with you. There is also another sign telling you that you cannot try on the shoes. I asked the salesgirl about it, and she said that they had lots of people coming in to try on the shoes, but not buying any. And then people who actually bought the shoes would come back saying that the shoes smelled like feet from all the people who had tried on the pair of shoes previously. True story, swear to God. I guess tourists have stinky feet! I was looking for a souvenir for myself. Warned about the shoes, I actually was looking to get either a Mexican blouse or dress as I had seen several gorgeous ones during my stay in San Antonio. The salesgirl was great in helping me pick out one, and even better yet, offered a discount if I paid in cash. Done. Best yet, after visiting Market Square, I noted that this store's clothes prices were indeed less expensive than the stores on Market Square. Same merchandise, different prices. I don't know how the other merchandise stacked up, but it does pay to shop around.

Do not buy from them because they do not accept any returns. The disclaimer is in small print, barely visible in the corner of the display. There are signs stating they do not accept returns; however, men who are buying gifts for their wives do not always see this. It was not noted at the time of purchase that the purse was refurbished, and let me tell you--it was poorly refurbished. I would advise never buying from here. If you're going to buy, purchase from Poshmark online or somewhere else where you can actually return your items. I would give Dillard's less than one star for very poor customer service. The manager on site that day was confrontational, gave me the runaround, and could not clearly tell me who to contact above her. It was just a bad experience overall. Terrible--do not buy from Dillard's.

The street that I remember driving in front of the Alamo many years ago is now non-existent! I am really digging the Alamo Plaza, though. From what I understand, the plan is to make it entirely pedestrian-friendly - no more vehicular traffic. Thus, much of the surrounding area is still under construction, but most areas in front of the Alamo are safe. This plaza is not the same as the Plaza de Valero, which is in front of Menger Hotel. Just ensure to wear loose, breathable clothing and drink plenty of water on the really warm to hot Texas days... a young lady in a tour group I was in passed out and hit her head on the concrete of the plaza. She (or rather her boyfriend) refused medical attention. I don't know if she's okay now, but it seemed serious at the time. PARKING I think your best bet with all the ongoing construction would be at the Rivercenter Parking Garage. TIP The building west of the Alamo will be the new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum. A grand opening for 2027 has been slated.

While the Alamo itself is rich in history, I prefer people-watching myself. And boy howdy, is there people watching here! While on my visit, I was enjoying a dish of ice cream, curtesy of one of the shops along the street, when I was able to get my fix of religion. There was a street preacher, or perhaps someone who just wanted to be a street preacher, yelling out scripture and nonsense. It didn't take long for him to be escorted to the end of the street by the police officers who where there patrolling on their bikes. Too bad, I was ready to repent and convert. The plaza provides lots of shade with several large trees and a little bit of seating on benches and concrete walls surrounding the landscape. Most of the shops along the street are geared toward tourists (souvenir shops, overpriced oddity museums and some eateries.) It's worth a visit for a while, but you might find better, less expensive options, a few blocks away.
