My husband and I used the parking garage at the Shops at Rivercenter while we were in downtown San Antonio. It was very convenient being right next to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. The garage was decently priced and was easy to get in and out of. The kiosk next to the parking area made it to simple to pay our parking bill. This is a nice mall right off the Riverwalk. If you need to escape the elements and grab a few items this is your place. It has 3 levels with plenty of shops. I'm sure you'll find something. The kiosk people were a little aggressive and persistent yet I feel that's similar to most malls. I do like the souvenir shop they had inside theu had a nice variety of things to choose from. The location is great and outside of supply they also have some nice food options around. read more

I'm in town for a conference and needed a more comfortable pair of shoes. This mall is super convenient, being just above the Riverwalk/down the street and steps from my hotel. I found a Finish Line, Footlocker, and Champs, and after I bought the shoes stopped in Victoria's Secret and browsed at a few other shops before stopping at their small but efficient food court. I got a reasonably priced salad and also saw pizza that looked good being made, and a Which Witch for sandwiches. They have a movie theater too. And a Rainbow, which I've never been to in person. Great prices and I got some cute casual clothes. They also have an H&M and a Starbucks. And stuff for kids. This whole mall is great! Will definitely come back if I have time. read more

I really really enjoy coming to this shopping center/mall at the river walk. It's definitely here for tourists primarily and I do live kind of far from it but every time I come here I'm reminded how many awesome shops and stores they have. They also have a decent selection at the food court. The value is typical to most shopping centers. They do have souvenir stores with unique Texas inspired gifts and last but not least, they have a Lego experience for kids and other seasonal exhibits like the titanic experience! Eventually, the venue I was meeting folks at got changed to Ruth Chris, so I had to weave myself out of the shops. The good news is I got a tour of all the options. The Shops at Rivercenter is the mall in downtown San Antonio, TX. My girls and I stayed in the area May 25-27, 2025, so we either shopped at the very few stores here or passed through here to get to the River Walk or a restaurant on the other side. The coolest thing was the River Walk's proximity. Other than that, I was disappointed in this mall. Lots of typical stores you can find anywhere else. There was this woman at what we know now was a kiosk (not just a simple info counter) that was mostly friendly but a bit on the pushy side with her "$40 tourism deal with Hyatt." We didn't even want help as we were looking at the map across from her, but she asked if we needed directions... Several parking garages in the area. read more

Not the best tourist hub. As much as I love the River, the Shops themselves have always been a little disappointing. While there are a few touristy businesses interspersed throughout the mall, a lot of the businesses are restaurants or chains you can find everywhere. Inside is just a regular more lackluster mall. Outside it has the River to lend itself and make it look more interesting: there will be massive seasonal decor set up in the plaza when the heat won't melt everything, local bands sometimes playing, and River taxis shuttling tourists through so they can see the sights, making things seem a lot more busy and festive than it truly is. You can skip the Shops and not miss anything. There's so much to see elsewhere downtown, so don't take up too much of your time here if you decide to visit! read more

I come here to park in the garage and walk around the Riverwalk. I like parking in garages since this Texas heat is a scorcher. I'm sure there are plenty of garages that may be cheaper, but this one has always been my go to. This mall does have things to keep the littles busy and the fact it has different things to offer is a plus! An aquarium, Legoland , dinosaur exhibit etc. I like that it also has restaurants inside, because the thought of having to walk or drive somewhere else did not sound fun. read more

Urban malls are odd but do still exist. Especially ones in major downtown areas that are still trying to hold onto them as an anchor for a neighborhood. This particular mall was odd. It had a good number of stores, but they were mix matched stores that felt disconnected from on another. That and most of them had entrances directly to the outside that really made it feel that you didn't have to walk into the mall at all. Unless you wanted to take in a movie. The mix of the stores, as I have said were disconnected, but on more than one level. Restaurants across the empty hallway from a kid's play place. H&M feeling like it was an island unto itself. It was just odd. Plus this place was massive. It took up the whole city block and then some. With it being so close to other prominent locations, you would think this place would be packed and busy. read more

Last visited: Dec' 23, two days after X-Mas. The River Walk is like a waking dream, it is well architected and designed I will have to say. Especially if you visit around Christmas time. The lights and backlighting around the overhanging trees is simply a sight to behold. Well done. The sheer amount of choice of restaurants and venues around the Rivercenter, is simply unbelievable. I did not walk the whole of the board walk to see all the shops as I ran out of time, but what impressed me is how many shops they have here, of so many different types of food, ice cream, and other stuff for sale. However. There are a few points that prohibit this from being a five-star experience. - The people and rather passerby here are unkind to me and to others in general. They are too wrapped up in their world to care about anyone else. - At the time we came, around 9pm, most shops were closing and quoted a wait time of over an hour, sometimes an hour and half of wait. We had to choose one restaurant which had a reasonable wait time, but it is unfortunate that we were limited in selection of place to eat dinner at, so am rating down for the minus in experience. All in all, there are a remarkable amount of selection in shops at the river center or rather river walk area in San Antonio (SA/TX), however oft times shops are busy and the selection will actually be severely limited. Also, the people here are unkind to others and need to loosen up. However, I'll give that a pass as the river walk and boat tour itself is mildly interesting and worth it at the least. read more

This review is for one of the stores in that place called Kool Stuff the owner is a scammer who sells all of the items in the store double the price to scam people to buy them The story: Me and some friends decided to go to the mall to hangout we where looking at all the different stores until we went to the Kool stuff in which all of the items where highly over priced 30 bucks for a funko pop.I noticed that they had a lady Deadpool funko pop ofc it was 30 bucks so I didn't get it my friend ended up getting these two sonic funkos from him that my other friend paid for we then decided to go to the GameStop and look at some stuff down there I then noticed the same lady Deadpool funko but it was only 12 or 14 bucks I went to buy it and told the cashier about the whole situation and he told us that they are scammers that buy items from the GameStop and go to sell it at there store for higher price I recommend anyone going here to not support this business but I can't really tell y'all what to do Y'all have an amazing day ! read more

Not a huge "mall," but there were some options for shopping, dining and entertainment. Located by the Riverwalk and not too far from the Alamo. Didn't look like there is much parking - unless there was a garage. I stayed at a nearby hotel so I just walked over. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I visited the H&M - it was actually clean and organized. I picked up a few things. I noticed there was a movie theater here and I'm guessing folks were headed to see the Barbie movie. I didn't check in here because I was stunned at the lack of stores in this prime location. The only stores I recognized were H&M and Victoria's Secret. The rest of the stores are selling knickknacks and junk. Lots of vendors in the center of the walkways, trying to ply their wares to passersby's. The only positive about the shops at Rivercenter is the fact that you're sheltered from the blazing sun. They need some major renovation and new stores in here, otherwise I'm assuming it's going to close down. read more

What has happened to the Rivercenter Mall? My San Antonio family has not been there for years - since they quit giving San Antonio residents two hours free parking. We loved going to Tony Romas, Barneys Coffee, Dillards with their great tony Western Wear Collection.The artisan fudge shop - all gone. Now you'll pay $5 per hour to park. The mall is full of vendor carts whose operators desperately accost you to examine the cheap trinkets they're tasked with peddling. Walking into the mall from outside you'll see the windows and doors haven't been cleaned for weeks - no San Antonio pride here. There is absolutely nothing "San Antonio" about this establishment. To those visiting from out of town, please don't judge us by what you see here. We really are better than this! read more

Mountains and valleys and bays and inlets are always mailing Barbie care packages and love letters, and recently, this Rivercenter a basket of chocolates and fruits! I'm not sure why natural landscape items are so in love with her, but they are. Okay, I know why. This center, though, is a big, expensive mall in the heart of downtown Alamo. On the one hand it's very cool to have a mall in downtown San Antonio and it can add a really great shopping experience to your tourist experience if you're coming to town, without leaving the city centre, which I think is the point. On the other hand, if you live in the San Antonio area or you've rented a car for your trip down here then you're in trouble because parking here is $15, and there's not much parking in the nearby streets either. $15? For mall? They need to realize that you come to a mall to spend money!? They're like, actively driving away business. That's a ridiculous decision. If you have to take a massive poop later at night DO NOT use their "big bathrooms". Their janitorial staff flipped out because I wasn't finished pooping and I couldn't stop pooping when they asked. Another custodian called an ambulance without needing one, completely disregarding my consent to initiate that escalation. Their male staff entered the bathroom while I was still using the bathroom during the confrontation. They spoke to my mom rudely and I was forced to make myself finish so that I could leave. I was honestly scared that I'd poop on their floors. Other than having a cool river boat experience (I didn't get to go on, because I was pooping) there's absolutely nothing even remotely worth going to this mall for, especially if they push patrons to the point that they have to yell and cuss in the middle of pooping. read more

I really enjoyed my visit here. You really need to find parking somewhere though. So be prepared to spend a pretty little dime on your visit. I brought my nephew here to shop for his Birthday gift and he said he'd never been to a mall like this. I'm glad he had fun and loved his welcome. There are a bunch of fun stores to visit here. Probably the worst mall I have ever been to. Run down, no signs to help locate where you are. Also hard for handicapped or elderly people to enjoy as there are barely any ramps or elevators. The mall is so empty and no one goes here. It is literal trash. I recommend not visiting San Antonio altogether (trash city) and you'd save so much time and money at Dallas/Houston. read more

So here's the deal: If you're already by the river walk and visiting San Antonio, then it's not a bad idea to walk inside here to cool off. There are a few interesting shops to get some cool things as from your trip. There is also a food court, ice cream, drinks. There are also some activities for the kids, Dan & Busters, and a movie theater. However, if you live locally and you just need to buy a pair of jeans, I can think of other paces that I would rather run to that would be easer to access without all the people and free parking. Nonetheless, I do come here occasionally. But it's only if I will be down at the Riverwalk already, and not for this mall specifically. Overall, it's generally clean. Plenty of bathrooms. Well air conditioned, lots of parking. It is also right by the River Boats and has easy access to lots of restaurants. read more

Gross gross restrooms and rundown food court. I have sent an email to the management and SA Chamber of Commerce--- heard nothing back. As a fellow native Texan, I was appalled how "unclean" the Rivercenter felt and looked. I would never recommend anyone to go to the Rivercenter after this last visit. As much revenue SA makes with tourism, I can't believe the city allows this to happen! Sad; the Rivercenter has a lot of cool kids attractions but........ your choice. It sounds strange, but if you're visiting the San Antonio River Walk, you're 99% likely to visit the Rivercenter whether you like it or not. The RC is a block-long mall which sits astride the eastern end of the River Walk. You'll be going down into part of it if you want to catch one of the boat tours (which you really should). The RC is also smack in the middle between the River Walk and the Alamo, which is really good - or bad - depending on how you look at it. The Bad: As a shopping experience, it's a decidedly mixed bag. There's a food court, a smattering of restaurants, a strangely unfocused mix of stores, and lots of weirdly placed escalators. Personally, I'd skip both the up-and-down scale franchise stores and visit the San Antonio specific gift shops like Texas Treasures. Regardless of how you feel about the shops, they are good at one thing: attracting people. Beware of crowds on the weekends! The Good: Parking in the 'Pink' Garage (aka the River Center Parking Garage off of E. Crockett Street) is a major plus. Yes, you have to pay - but it's easily the most central spot between where you can catch the boat tour and walk to the Alamo. Also, having an air-conditioned inside mall to walk through is a godsend when it's raining or 100 degrees outside. As a dining experience, I like the different options available depending on your budget. Pick the specials at the food court and you'll do fine when being thrifty. There's several chain outlets of sit-down restaurants for the middle grade. Finally, there are at least two steak houses (Mortons and 1718) and several higher-end restaurants on the River Walk itself within walking, water-taxiing, or cab-ing distance. Like I said before, you probably won't be able to avoid the RC, so enjoy the highlights and smile - you're in San Antonio! read more

If your looking for shopping then skip this mall because there is really not much here. It's clean, large, and has beautiful window views of the Riverwalk. A few chain Restaurants on the outside of the mall such as Tony Roma's, Margaritaville, Hooters & Chili's. A small food court on the inside. This mall is very touristy and strange identity. One level has known national brand stores but on a different level unknown flea market like stores. Even the restaurants are mixed from semi upper scale to carnival style. You will find locals just hanging out here and tourist looking to find a way out of this place. A few tacky touristy places seem to come and go and the latest is Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. You will find many of the stores sell the same stuff. They even have a liquor store here. Avoid using the mall restrooms here where undesirables hang out in and outside. I grew up in San Antonio and wished this mall was never built since it is an eyesore and blocks views to the Alamo. You will find much better food choices along the River Walk and there is a river boat depot here too. The parking here is expensive but used to park here in the garage and after midnight the toll people go home so it would be free. Not sure still the same. Checked out this mall and best place out it is sitting outside next to river and there may be the same native Brazilian band playing tunes. read more

One of my favorite parts of my trip to San Antonio was this mall. They have everything you can think of inside: entertainment, restaurants and shopping. Not to mention the water taxi and your buses are right outside and the Alamo. We had so much fun at Dave N Busters also stayed at the Marriott which is connected to the mall and you never have to step foot outside. read more
