The Heb is satisfactory. It's always super crowded. Prices are too high. Don't like the fact that Heb has different sales and prices depending on the location. Heb used to have good deals, coupons & sales on good stuff. The weekly flyer is lacking in good sales & disappointing. But since Heb has a monopoly (little competition) it can charge higher prices. I'm from Houston and visiting my daughter and had to do a grocery store run for a few items. I said to my daughter that this HEB looks small, and she said yes it is a small HEB I didn't know they even had or made small HEBs. I only go to HEBs and mine by my home is huge and also another one also has the BBQ section. So from outside it looks like any HEB and inside the only diff I noticed was that the lanes were narrow and they didn't have double lanes with a middle cross lane. Which makes for better flow and less traffic jams. The lanes were just 1 lane and narrow which makes for traffic Jams and the shelves have higher shelves so if your short good luck reaching top 2 shelves. Store was clean and organized like all HEBs and staff were friendly and helpful. Love HEB read more

I purchased a cart full of groceries and two litter box trays. When everything was paid for I asked the bagger and the cashier if that was everything and they said yes after unloading everything at home, I realize the two litter boxes which were very large were not included, so I returned the next day and I said why did they lie to me when I asked if everything was in the cart? The manager said that they didn't lie. What do you call it when they're not telling the truth? Seems to be a trend to be missing items even when asking for confirmation. They assure you, but don't understand why they are being asked. We are tired of missing food and groceries and having to make extra efforts to retrieve or refund. We ask because we do not want to waste time on corrections. I didn't appreciate the supervisor offering the refund gaslighting me into thinking that people weren't lying to my face when I asked them for confirmation that everything was in the cart and they said yes, and clearly the litter box trays were still there at the cashiers, and it was the last two items scanned. How was she was able to hide it and not included with the rest of the items? It's one thing to make a mistake. It's another to not own up to the mistake or to make the customer feel like it's an every day occurrence and just to deal with it. read more

I love my little HEB. It has everything I need without being a ULTRA MEGA SUPER STORE! We use it as our primary grocery store and probably visit at least three times per week. The store is clean and well organized and except on those rare, predictable occasions it is not too crowded. The sushi bar is excellent and the other prepared food is always cooked to perfection. I love their rotisserie chicken and it is never over cooked. Their delivery service is also excellent for those of us who live nearby. I haven't used curbside pickup since the days of COVID, but I can't imagine it not being well run as well. Thanks HEB!! read more

I bought two tenderloin Fromm the center isle freezer. They had a USDA sticker. Brought them home. They had an odd color. I cut into them. The meat pulled apart in even sections with something in between that seemed like glue. I watched some YouTube videos on characteristics of fake meat. I'm very concerned I purchased fake meat. Most employees are pleasant and helpful. Clean and well stocked. If you go early to beat the crowds many of the aisles are filled with restocking pallets and employees blocking access to some of the shelves, and sometimes even through the aisles. Throughout the day the employees with the large carts pulling items for delivery or pickup constantly block customers - some are courteous and move out of the way but many seem unaware they are blocking customers. read more

Came here with my 1 year old and felt like I was being followed by young female employees in baby section as well as freezer section. Not sure if they're targeting Moms or they had problems with people stealing. But please tell your employees not everyone steals. Use your cameras. No matter which HEB I shop at, it is always better than anywhere else in the country. I work in California, and I need to shop at Albertsons, Vons, and a TJ just to get what I need at one HEB. Many days, I find myself thinking, "Let's go to HEB, to get some prepared Brisket queso" but I can not because it would be a 25 hour drive or a four hour plan ride. We frequent this HEB since it's down the road from me and never had an issue. They're always stocked, friendly customer service, great selections and prices. I really wanted to write this review because the service we received today and yesterday was out of this world. We've been out of power for 3 days now and mainly go to find a warm place to walk but they're handling the situation as best as they can. We did wait an hour yesterday to get in, and I was surprised to see how much they still had. They were even trying to restock things as they went out so people weren't without. It was nice to see management out and helping, especially with trying to keep covid precautions in place. I just moved here from Hawai'i. It's still a shock to me how cheap everything is here in Texas. Gas, rent, utilities and even the groceries! H-E-B near Alamo Ranch has got to be my favorite place to shop for several reasons. It's always full of life, every visit. The employees greet you and they have this cool kiosk where they have someone cooking live with local Texas ingredients (most of the time). The variety here is awesome. So many chooses but not to the point where it's over whelming. The music in the store is played at a reasonable volume. I've been to stores where the sound was either too soft or too loud and it really effected my shopping mood. The isles in the store are wide and allow for lots of cart traffic, which makes my shopping trips a bit more peaceful. I'm the type to worry about banging into people with my cart at the store. Last but not least, the kids carts that have steering wheels and little trucks/cars are REALLY appreciated. I have an 18 month old boy with lots of energy and he loves those cart. I'm writing a review for their car wash. I know they usually have a sign but correct me if I'm wrong, there was no sign that customers needed to be aware that any scratches caused by the car wash is not the responsibility of HEB. Anyway, I've been using their car wash forever and just recently I noticed major scratches on the back of my car going which ever way possible. It's probably from the overused brushes in the car wash with the metal sticking out. Just be aware of this possibility when coming to this car wash. My poor 2020 4Runner :( read more

Repaving half the parking lot = traffic and parking nightmare for an already busy area if town. The store layout is easy to navigate and the shelves are nicely stocked, so no issues there. Buuuuuuut... Then at self checkout the printer jammed with the previous person's transaction and it was stuck in the printer, I didn't know, so my receipt didn't print. Heb employees and manager are unable to reprint a receipt (sounded made up) and said the business center MAY be able to reprint it, but self check out doesn't always show up. Business center line was 12+ people deep so not worth it. Terrible and frustrating overall experience. read more

It's a typical HEB but closer to where I live so that's a plus. This place is very new in fact at the time I am writing this review it has not even been open for a week. The best part of this HEB is that shoppers no longer have to cross Culebra to get to the other HEB that is two miles away. You may think that this no big deal but when traveling two miles takes you almost ten minutes then you appreciate one being closer, No need to tell you that the store is clean because it is brand new. The staff is more than helpful in helping you find anything. The store has a slightly different configuration than other HEBs so where you think an item might be it might not be there. This is a nice addition to the Alamo Ranch area. There is an HEB gas station at this location and with a Valero close by I see a price war that will only benefit customers. read more

Horrible cashier--excessively rude . Got angry because I placed my plant on the conveyor belt and plant had been recently watered so it dripped out some water. Made me put back in my cart then Again angrily told me to Put the plants back on the belt because I had already messed it up for her and she would have to clean it up!!! I spent over $100 and have to tolerate a lazy person not wanting to do their job--ridiculous--never going there again! I'm sticking to my HEB in Banders Rd instead--And her manager was too busy on his cell phone to take my complaint. Here Everything's Better! This is one of the newer HEBs, out on the west side of town. It has wide aisles that make it easy to navigate with their big Texas-sized carts. This is a really nice HEB, with a large Meal Simple / pre-made food area that shows off the food in different ways than what you're used to seeing in a typical grocer. The beer aisle is all behind glass doors, with a healthy variety of microbrews and imports. The produce section is one of the larger ones for a regular (non-Plus!) HEB. My favorite section is always the clearance section- I hunt for those deals. This one didn't disappoint. It's always the higher end HEBs with the best clearance sections. This store is also a very clean store- everything sparkles and shines. The bakery department churns out all sorts of sweets, with a heavy emphasis on Mexican bakery items. The clerks are always nice here, and they have a self-checkout area if you don't want to interact with people. There's a car wash and gas pumps. My only complaint is that this parking lot isn't the easiest to access, since there's a median between the lanes going around this store, so you have to go waaaay down and turn around to get there. read more

My only complaint is the increase of the delivery charge. As a senior, I have some bad days, and walking around the store to shop is not an easy thing for me. Now I have to wheel the shopping cart, lift my groceries into the trunk, then lift them again when I get home. The new delivery charge may not seem a lot to some folks, but on a retirement income its no longer an option for me. That's the reason for 4 stars. read more

Ordered Valentines flowers 9 days in advance. Asked to pickup 2 days before Valentines. With the intention of not being last minute. When I went to pickup they couldn't find my order, or even the request. Marilyn politely offered to put something together. While I was annoyed to have to wait, I kindly accepted. This was a bouquet for someone who has never received flowers before. Which is why I called in advance, to make sure it was going to have everything I wanted in the arrangement. Unfortunately, what I received looked thrown together and bare. I asked to have greenery added, she said they didn't have any. I asked for more baby breath, she said they didn't have any. I was completely unsatisfied and disappointed. But I had already paid and didn't have time to ask for a refund. The worse part in all of this was that the HEB employees did not care at all.You would think they would have tried a little harder to fix their own mistake! It only takes one bad apple... This had been our HEB for quite some time, 4 years at least, today they lost a family of 9. We shopped there for the convenience of scan and go, we loved it, the beer selection has always been on point, we love a good craft beer selection and the single isle has always been phenomenal. We even had the pleasure of meeting Bill today in the beer isle. We chatted, he took down some recommendations on carrying some of our local faves.. it was nice. Our experience with Tess today, however, changed all of that for us. As I previously stated, we use scan as you go. Today there was a glitch in the system that caused the terminal to freeze. (1) Instead of explaining to us what was happening and why it was taking so long, Tess decided to be snarky with my wife (a fellow HEB partner, and she was aware because we were using a partner card discount). When my wife asked what was going on because our card had already been charged, Tess responded with "no it hasn't, it won't be charged until I finalize it". Apparently referencing a pending transaction, little did she know, my wife also works for a bank (20 years now) and is well aware of what a pending transaction is. She proceeded to tell us we needed to meet her at the service counter, ok by this time I was admittedly a little frustrated. (2) She then proceeded to do something on the register at the service desk and told me to enter my card. I then asked her if it was going to charge me again, Tess then replied with "it hasn't charged you in the first place, it's just pending." I then explained to her that a pending transaction takes out of your avaliable balance, therefore I would have to wait a few days for the authorization to fall off. Tess rolled her eyes and said, "well yeah". I also have worked for a bank for 15 years.. duh. At this time (3) Tess decided to interject herself into my conversation with my wife about how Monday is a holiday and we wouldn't get the 1st authorization off until later in the week. Tess made a comment about calling the BANK on a SUNDAY. How ridiculous. I proceeded to tell her that I was having a conversation with my wife and she needed to give me a minute. Her response was (4) "take all the minutes you need, I'm trying to help you I don't need you giving me attitude", at which time I was done with her. I explained to her that the authorization was not going to be back on my card in time for me to rent my hotel for a trip we're taking to our son's college orientation. Her response to that was (5) "you can either run your card and leave with your groceries or you can leave the groceries here and wait to get your money back, either way the transaction is going to take days to come off" At that point, after discussing with my wife, and son by the way, we ran my card again. I then asked to speak to her manager and she called him over. While I was telling him what happened she said(6) "That's not how I said it" referring to my complaint about her telling us we could leave with our without our groceries (it wasn't her problem you see, and we were cutting into her break time so we needed to hurry up" Tess is not only vile and reprehensible, but she is also disrespectful and a liar. If you're going to treat someone poorly at least have the balls to stick to the truth AND back up what you said. Keep that same energy when you tell your boss what happened. She picked the wrong one and I will be taking this further. She had 6 opportunities to be a decent human being and she chose to be an uneducated, undertrained, rude and horrible person. This review is for the floral department. I ordered a corsage for my sons prom date about two weeks in advance. We didn't require any special request, just a rose hand corsage in red ribbon. I paid in advance so my son could just go in and pick on the day of. It was very easy to place the order but what he brought home was unacceptable. I paid $27 and change for it and now thinking I should have paid $10 more at a florist. I've ordered flowers and arrangements before from H-E-B and they've always had a beautiful selection for a great price but this was NOT what I expected. I was lucky enough to be pet sitting in the Alamo Ranch area and I got the chance to visit this newest HEB. First visit was during the night time and the store was relatively empty (kind of surprising). Needed to get a toothbrush, which I found rather easily. I did a real quick walk-through and was happy to see a nicely displayed Cheese area and the bakery had an open pastry area like one finds at the Alon location, just a little smaller. There appeared to be a good amount of baked goods, including breads, at least the spaces for them since it was night and much of the product was gone. The selection of their SIMPLE MEALS was extensive and saw some I hadn't seen at my HEB before. I didn't get a chance to wander through produce, but from afar the quality looked good. Needless to say, the checkout was quick and the cashier was very friendly (always a plus towards making an HEB visit better). I give my first visit 4 stars because I didn't get a chance to give the store a full workout ($100+) :). I will return when I'm in the area because it is well set up and lea face it, new stuff is fun. read more

The staff and predominately the management (Will, Alfonso & Brandon) treated me with disrespect and unbusinesslike conduct. The issue is simple: I tried doing a simple carry out transaction for groveriesI following all the prompts then when I attempted to pay the system advised that I was not authenticated. I did the complete transaction at s minimum of 5 attempts. I then called Mgmt and they advised that they would walk over and address the situation with the Manager of Delivery. She was rude and told me she could do nothing to help me. NADA. She offered me the phone # for their corporate office who she advised she was under their direction I called tho corporate # at a minimum of 5 times. Again NADA. I called mgmt at Alamo Ranch and was advised the mgmt that they did all they could. I respectfully disagreedf, I advised companies such as Nike use the slogan?"Just do it or Nordstrom will keep their store open even after closing if a customer wants to shop and the entire staff must wait) I know this'd I worked for Nordstrom at La Canterra. So it was 3 men vs me and Will smirked at me at which time I advised that if we were in front of jurors then jurors would see this. Then Will placed his arm left arm straight out approximately 3 feet in front of me and advised not to touch him at which time I told him I had no desire to ever touch him. Alfonzo a heavy set mgr. who I believe understands Spanish I now felt, threatened, bullied over s $67 transition. I called him a slew of obscenities and he commanded me in a very threatening manner physically and emotionally to leave. At this time I have no delivery order their advised to do the transaction again.
