I love this HEB! Thank you to the fruit and meat department who will go beyond and in the back to make or retrieve a product willingly. This location is always clean, fresh, and stocked. The staff all seem to be friendly and the store manager keeps it dated and fresh with product, seasonal ambiance ( the decoration balloons around the store and lined up on top of the frozen aisle was GENIUS), and just a warm welcoming vibe. He was so so incredibly nice my little one was not having it by the end of the grocery shopping and he came up and handed them some stickers and little fans and then as I put in line came back up and gave them some HEB string bags which they loved. read more

I am so disappointed with the service I witnessed in the self checkout area at this HEB today. A gentleman was trying to checkout during his lunch break from the nearby construction sight. He clearly needed assistance to pay with cash in self checkout but did not speak English and couldn't navigate the register. What appears to be an employee in a red shirt goes up to him and when he speaks in Spanish she rudely retorts "I don't speak that". It's okay that she doesn't speak Spanish but this gentleman needed help and rather than being met with compassion was met with a snide and ugly tone and approach. Luckily there was gentleman that stepped in to help with his broken English when all the man wanted to do was pay in cash at the self checkout. It's unfortunate to see a company that supports diversity have employees that lack empathy for their customers. read more

I've already had it with this H-E-B not only has their produce gone downhill. I'm constantly having to go back because I find mold or bugs inside pre-washed or rinsed vegetables and fruit and today I purchased along with my groceries a 12 pack of Dr Pepper and I should have known when I seen the young girl at the register, put it aside, but as I'm getting home, I realized they did not put it back in my basket so me thinking that I had paid for it because I put it on the conveyor belt. I get their hand the guy in my receipt and he's looking at me like they didn't charge you for Dr Pepper but if you want, you can go and grab one and pay for it like as if I was trying to scam them out of a 12 pack of Dr Pepper knowing damn well when I went shopping earlier, I put it on the conveyor belt to get scanned so that way I can pay for it and bring it home so when that happened, I was just immediately embarrassed. These kids do not know how to properly do their job. I put an order for a cake for my daughter bday and spelled her name out. Ms. Jessica in bakery wrote it out for the cake decorator and they still spelled it wrong. Only thing they had to do was read!! I didn't notice till I took it out the fridge when I got home to take a photo. It is too late to try and take it back to get it fixed so I had to do it myself. This is definitely my go-to H.E.B around this area. However, I was very disappointed with my last visit. I don't know what the problem was with the cashier she was so rude to my father, to top it off she tossed the food as she was scanning it. I spent $200 bucks I wish I had left everything there. This is my HEB. There are others near me in about the same distance but I prefer this one for 2 reasons. 1. Excellent beer selection 2. The staff are genuinely helpful and friendly 3. I liked this H‑E‑B when it first opened. While not the closest H‑E‑B to our house, I like their Texas backyard selection and the overall "newness" of the store. Nevertheless, these guys fail me every time I go to this store. Watch ur cashier cuz they make lots of mistakes, especially with the produce and bakery items. They constantly ring up the wrong sku number, and I end up paying more for the item. Today, the combo loco coupons right by the cashiers were empty and if u don't tell them about the coupon, they don't give u the coupon credit. We had to physically stop a manager to get the credit for the item we bought. All H‑E‑B stores should give u the coupon regardless if u don't have the coupon. It's not that difficult to program that into the system. However, today it was extra bad. The coupon didn't pick up the item and we had to search for the already bagged item to prove I actually had bought it. Cudnt she have just looked at the register to see if she charged me for it?? Well after I located the item and handed it to her, she studied it for like a minute to verify it was the "correct" item to qualify for the discount. Then to top it off, she only credited me .45 cents instead of the .75 cents the coupon's stated value. When I asked her why, she never answered me and finally gave me the extra .30 cents. What's the point of the coupons if they aren't there with the item to receive the discount and/or the cashiers aren't giving u the correct discount for the item ur buying?! read more

Went to the store a few days ago and bought a gift card for my son for xmas. Accidentally got the wrong one, took it to the store to return it, and was told that all sales are final on gift cards. Asked 3 different managers to show me where it states the policy. It is not on receipt, not posted on the fixture with the product and not even at customer service. I was told it's in the business office, who goes in the business office before making a purchase? Horrible customer service every other retailer in America will return gift Cards but not HEB? Over 20 gift card you are going To lose 200- 300 grocery sales I purchase pretty much every week. I prefer HEB but I guess I'm going to Have to go to Walmart from now On read more

This location has the best curbside pickup area! I love that they have covered parking and is well lit at night time.

It's fully stocked compared to the one in alamo ranch and is a straight shot down 211 and much better than driving down culebra if you don't need too! Super disappointed they stopped offering their frozen imitation crab meat. Up until a couple months ago you could buy the frozen crab at the seafood counter frozen in a 2lb bag. You now have to buy the crab thawed out in a "party platter" with a bunch of crap included. The cocktail sauce sucks and the lemon slice is unnecessary AND because it's thawed out it expires in 3 days. When I ask them they say it's because they can't weigh out the crab and barcode it or something. Which is literally what they do with EVRY other meat at the counter. I would even be willing to spend MORE money on the frozen krab because it will last a lot longer in my freezer. Here I am, a customer with a pocket full of money willing to pay whatever they want for a product they clearly have and they refuse to sell it to me. TAKE MY MONEY idiots. read more

The staff here is much friendlier and more helpful than the other H-E-B on Potranco. The people that work at this H-E-B seem like they're happy to be there, you can tell by the way they are willing to help and they look you in the eyes when they speak to you. And they smile! At last after 6 months from moving out here near 211 and Potranco (FM-1957), the local H-E-B has finally opened saving me from making that long trip to the often packed H-E-B Plus down the road. Upon arriving into the parking, you'll find the H-E-B Fuel pumps toward the entrance and the car wash to the side. Getting out of the car I make my grand entrance into the store. The cart attendant was attentive and I voyaged into the produce section. I noticed on the immediate left (Fresh Foods entrance) there is the floral department called the Market vs Blooms which I found odd. There is a huge selection of produce, going past that is the Meal Simple section on the left there is a huge selection compared to other H-E-B's in the area. Next to that is the Sushiya very well presented and across from that is the Bakery department attached to it is where you'll find the fresh tortillas. Further into the store is the seafood and meat department on the right and deli on the left. This H-E-B has an extensive cheese, beer and wine department even expensive wines. The rest of the store is the typical layout with dry perishables in the middle of the store and the dairy on the exact opposite corner of the entrance of the building. The H-E-B features updated signage for each department even the check out lanes have updated lane numbers and self check out. The only disappointment here is that there isn't anything else other than the grocery store available at this new H-E-B like the lack of a True TX BBQ, Flaming Bird or South Flo Pizza. For me it was a quick in and out, I went early enough and found everything I needed, friendly cashiers and employees. Welcome to the neighborhood H-E-B! read more

Nothing like having your own neighborhood HEB! This store is like an adult fiend trip. I could stay all day. I don't feel that I'm missing out in anything in comparison to the larger stores and never had to leave to go to another store. The seafood selection is freshly presented and I love the many frozen options as well. The aisles are roomy, the store is clean and produce is full. I've always had pleasant cashiers and the self check out moves fast. The ready to go section in front is a nice touch. On July 13, 2023 I went grocery shopping as usual at HEB. On my way to the check out registers I slid and had to grab my basket/cart and did the split to keep from hitting the floor. I had spine surgery several months ago so I surely did not want to hit the floor... I looked down and there was lotion or soap (white) all over the floor and I told an employee that they need to clean this up before someone gets hurt as I almost fell. I went to the register and asked for a supervisor and I spoke to Moe and told him that I had just had back surgery a few months ago and almost fell because there was stuff all over the floor.. He just took my name and number down on a piece of paper and said they will follow up with me. I checked out then went back to the area where I Slipped and they had it cleaned up but not all of it and the supervisor moe was there and asked me where it happened. He never asked if I was ok or if i was injured...I never heard back from them so the next day I called up there to HEB and I spoke to Jesse qho hung up on me once i explained the situation to him..I called back and got Javi whom was a meat manager and he transferred me to Mark whom I explained what happened and he took all my information down and stated they would follow up with me and nothing..so last Friday I went back to shop for some items and spoke to another manager and she called moe and they called someone else who stated that he did get my report.i said nobody ever followed up with me..what happened to incident reports in case something comes up later or something triggered my surgery..I said I would hate to have to report you all. He said I promise we will call you monday..a week later to today, August 13, 2023, AN ENTIRE MONTH LATER, I have not heard from anyone. This is UNACCEPTABLE HEB!! 1. I spend way too much money with your chain, I give you all alot of my hard earned money every 2 weeks and have since I was a young adult. 2. I used to be an employee of HEB when I was in High School so the dedication goes back decade's 3. This is terrible business and terrible accountability taken on your end as a company. Why treat your customers or anyone this way when you were negligent in the matter. A simple follow up to ensure I was ok or if I need anything or even an apology would be expected. NOBODY had any Empathy nor compassion un the matter and lacked to even care that I was put in this situation. I am highly disappointed in this company and theie actions are completelyUNACCEPTABLE! So glad that they opened up this H-E-B. They are very clean and organized. I especially love doing the curbside. It is so easy and convenient to order my groceries and pick up without having to get out of the car. Are usually have little to no substitutions, and the produce that they pick for my order are always perfect looking with no bruises or dents etc. When I do shop in the store I love the selection that they have, and the produce is always immaculate. I love all of the H-E-B brand products, that's usually what I like to stick to. I especially love their meal deals where you buy one item or a few and get other items for free. I've been an H-E-B customer for 45 years. Last night I pulled into the parking lot to drop off my wife at the door while I park and wait for her. Due to side effects from cancer treatment, It is difficult for me to be on my feet for any length of time As soon as I pulled into the nearly empty parking lot last night to drop her off, the car that was parked next to the curb decided to try and hit my vehicle, for whatever reasons beyond me. If my wife would have stepped out of the vehicle, she would surely have been hit by that vehicle. So then the vehicle stops in front of me to impede my movement. He then starts to move then slams on his brakes trying to get me to hit his vehicle. So, I back up and go around him to again, try to drop off my wife at the door. The idiot then pulls his vehicle in front of me diagonally to prevent me from moving. He then jumps out of his vehicle and attempts to approach my vehicle. As soon as he reached my front of the car, I pulled out my .357 and yelled if he takes one more step, I will shoot him. I'm a 64 year old veteran who had my leg severed in the Army and had it reattached after 30 surgeries. I'm being treated for highly aggressive cancer and am not going to lose all I fought for because of some freak thinking he has a right to try and strike my vehicle with his, which is a felony even if he doesn't hit me, then get out of his vehicle after blocking my exit and comes towards my vehicle, in my opinion, to try and attack me. Then his wife gets out of the passenger side and takes him a two foot long crescent wrench. At this point, I had enough. I put my firearm away and got out of the vehicle to protect myself, my wife and my vehicle. He had a weapon in his hand and I got into that pint size jerks face and told him if he didn't get in his vehicle and leave, I was going to put that wrench up his ass. The only reason that punk walked away alive is because he had his kids in the car. H‑E‑B made no effort to protect me or my wife from one of their customers and in stead, asked us both to leave. I accommodated their request, and drove around the maniacs vehicle just to have him continue to follow me. So the police arrived at my house and thought I had fled the scene. I said the only reason I left is because as I waited for police, Heb asked me to leave to calm the situation. Although they gave no consideration to what one of their customers just attempted to do to us, I agreed to leave. I then find out the store wanted to get a trespass warrant against me until the police told them I was well within my rights to do what I did and showed great restraint. Instead of HEB trying to intervene to protect a 64 year old severely ill, 45 year faithful customer that was just attacked by one of their customers that were parked in front of the store, they wanted to get a trespass warrant against me. Tomorrow I will be transferring my prescriptions to one of their competitors and sever my customer relationship with them. I have no respect for what they did and didn't do, whatsoever and will be seeking legal advice on the failure of HEB to even make an effort to stop their customer from continuing his rampage with his wife, while their kids were in the vehicle. Don't expect the store to intervene if you get attacked on their property. read more

Cashier Marisol was rude from start to finish. She was clearly in a rush though there were no lines at any of the registers. Come to find out she scanned some of my items multiple times even though I only had one. I was excited to come here and get away from the crowd at the HEB Plus closer to me but it was not a pleasant experience at all. read more
