Recently I came to this walmart for some groceries and clothes. When we went to go pay the cashier didn't know how to speak spanish, I needed to translate to my parent so she can speak to her. We also helped the person in-front of us with translating. She took very long bagging the groceries and she didn't know how to bag the items correctly, Most of our groceries were smashed. She asked us if we wanted the hangers on our clothes and we replied no and she still left the hangers with the clothes. I don't remember the cashiers name but she had a land yard with writing on it that said "I love Jesus". I was just wondering if you can have her doing another job that doesn't require speaking to customers. read more

Every single time I come here whether it's morning , noon , or night time the registers are soooooo slow! I kid you not , I feel like I'm at the DMV in zootopia ! The parking lot here is a nightmare! I always order online, and then do the free in-store pickup. Service counter for pickup is in the very back of the store, and you ring a bell and wait for someone to come help you. Attendant always comes pretty quickly, and then finds my item just as fast. Already pre-paid by credit card online, so I get to bypass the lines at the cashiers in the front. Sometimes I get distracted by the super low deals while walking through the store, but there are always so many customers, that it's not easy making your way down the aisles. read more

This rating is for Walmart.com. I purchased a sofa online, it was delivered by FedX and I had to pay $89 to have it put together. It was horrible, it was sitting on a piece of plywood. Not comfortable in any way. Well it's been 8 days since they picked up the sofa and NO REFUND $621.00 yet. Walmark tire service center on Rose Ave, oxnard Ca cannot be applauded or even slightly recommended positively for their staff at the Rose ave tire center. BY phone, I ordered some front new tires using the Walmart ONLINE website for my local service center. I had a terrible time with the online data entry 'associate' which I got speak to for placing my tire order. She was very slow in taking my order over the phone. And I had to repeat all my info and on what tires I wanted to order for my dodge stratus 4 door SE sedan.That was only the beginning of my new tire replacement task. It latter continued in the tire mounting bay with their inept staff. My appointment was for 1 PM at new tires service bay. The very young and uninformed tire service manager on duty said my order was incomplete. It did not show the model tires I ordered from the online data entry clerk. I told him I did order the correct tires with the data entry clerk while on the phone with her. I took down the tires manufacturer. There was some confusion then. I told him I wanted the same size tire that was on the rear of my car. Those radial tires size were 15 inch and he told me they were the wrong size size for my car according to the Dodge car makers specs. I've bought new tires for this car while owning and driving it for over 8 years with no problem anywhere else. He then told me that 16 inch tires were correct. The tires were Douglas all weather new tires. I got talked into these differing tire size and went into the customer waiting area. BTW- these larger tires were more expensive ! After 50 minute, I got a call my car was done. I paid for the whole (first) bill and got into the car to drive it home. These new tires were TOO LARGE and were striking the inside of the tire wheel well. I immediately complained to another service manager and explained their error. The tires were the wrong size and I would not leave without the wrong large tires being take off immediately. I demanded a full refund on my credit card for their first tire size mistake. Next, I got the corrected size tires after another 50 minute wait. I paid for the second (correct) size tires and the car with newer smaller correct tires was fine to drive home. BTW- All of my car's ole front end noises: Like clunks, tire rubbing on wheel well, shimmy was mysteriously gone ! I was left knowing that I was correct all along and the tire center service was wrong. Two un-neccessry tire mountings and subsequent credit card sales that wasted my days time over a normally routine matter. The 1PM staff there was hard to do business with due to them not knowing their tire inventory. I would not use them again ! read more

8/18/19. 8:00 am It's actually a -1 if only I could take away stars. Saturday- go shopping (we are fro out of town) for basic supplies, everything in the entire store is under lock and key. It's ok, I work retail and understand the "why"- not to this extent but ok. If you are going to lock up everything in the building then you must schedule enough associates to unlock said cases. And what's up with them to be locked if the person who eventually comes over to unlock it (with attitude) just hands it to you????? Moving on to Sunday morning: We are about to leave this town and decided to run into Walmart for a phone charging cable. Remember this is a store who locks up everything!!!!! Get to electronics and yes they are locked up- no associate in site, finally 5 minutes go by and my husband asks for someone to unlock the door- they don't work that dept nor have a key. Another 5 minutes goes by someone again finally walks by and still they don't work that dept. Now there are 3 of us all waiting for someone to work this area. Finally a 3rd associate walks by and says she will call someone and we did hear her make a page for someone but no one ever comes. I tried calling the stores main phone line and it rang so many times that at one point it just disconnects me. My husband wals the entire store to find someone who appeared to be a manager and he finally came to unlock the cabinet. The other lady told me to call the store manger to that department right now and he says "she's not here" and then she asked for the next level manger and he said the only one who was there was a night manager and she's gone home already. This is not a Walmart because Walmart is suppose to be about customer service and that store is definitely not customer friendly. read more

DELIVERY WAS THE WORST. Driver had trouble finding my mother's apartment - which is fine, it happens - but then instead of contacting her to figure out where to go, he left her groceries in the middle of the street. I was shocked: all her groceries probably spoiled or were stolen, and she couldn't find them anywhere near her home. Called the store and had to go through four people in customer service to get her money refunded to her. Absolutely worst place for exchanges and returns. The lady working now (August 3, 2019 at 11:50am) has no customer service skills! She's sitting down while working and just isn't pleasant to deal with. To top it off, a long line has formed and I see no relief coming. Two associates walked in and looked at the inventory then walked out. I got here around 11:35am. She said a electronics person needed to review the merchandise. She called them 15 minutes ago. Im still friggin' waiting!!!! I have had a longer line to deal with before and it was even worse!!! However, I did have an experience in the Oceanside West WalMart and I was in and out in no time! Place got bigger through expansion, but it's still hella packed. This place now has a grocery section, a remodeled Mcdonalds, a pharmacy, and further expanded back side for more clothes and what not. There's a grip of cash registers in the front, but not enough employees. The lines were going into the clothing aisles. I reccomend going kinda late to avoid the lines. read more

I came here to buy an LED light because I saw it was in stock at the Walmart close to me. When I try to go buy it they tell me it's more than double the price online. I ask to talk to a manager and waited 30 minutes in line to see a manager at a register and right before it my turn she goes on break. So another manager comes to help and she tell me when she scans it that it say out of stock. So how can I have the product in my hands if it's out of stock? And if it's out of stock why should I have to pay more than double the price? They didn't try to adjust the price at all. They recently changed the baby food section here. It was hard enough before to get baby formula by pressing the button and waiting and waiting for someone to finally come unlock the glass. Now they don't even have a button so you must hunt down a Walmart employee and ask them to go page someone to unlock the glass..sometimes they remember sometimes you have to track down several different employees. Stupidest idea EVER. Waste of EVERYONES time. When someone FINALLY comes to unlock it, they must take it up to the register, you cannot handle it until you pay for it. This is without a doubt the most poorly managed Walmart I've ever seen. They constantly have twice as many people stocking shelves during business hours as they do cashiers, half of the aisles you can't even get through because they've got pallets two to three hours before the store closes, and the store is constantly a mess. And what the hell is the point of checking out of the register when they're going to sit there and scan half of your items again at the door? Went here for a few things in the evening and luckily found parking near the door under a light. It was night time I was alone and I was just trying to be smart because it's not the greatest area and I knew it would be even later upon my exit. After I checked out I headed toward the door where a female manager bolted in front of me, cut me off, locked the door right in front of me and barked, "use other door". Rude....very rude! The other door is not just a hop skip and a jump away, I felt sorry for the lady walking behind me pushing a shopping cart with her 20 sacks of dog food stacked sky high in the cart, the manger barked at her too. If the store is open for business then all the effing doors should remain open for business, and if Walmart is worried about the safety of the employees inside, they should also be worried about the safety of their customers outside. Walmart makes enough money to pay for security guards. It's not safe making your customers hike across a dark parking lot. During my brisk hike I was approached and asked if I had any spare money from a seedy looking guy (no but how about some of this new hair spray in your eyes?), and then as I passed by a car I interrupted a young man getting a BJ from what seemed like a very embarrassed ho! Walmart Bakery was AMAZING! Their customer service was top notch and I appreciate the consultant taking such a detailed account of the cupcake cake I had planned for my daughter's 10th birthday. I should give MYSELF 0 stars because I keep coming here. I just want to punch myself in the face every time I leave the store and this is why: 1. Too many things out of stock. 2. Filthy bathrooms. Tijuana status. 3. Crowded as hell, but it's worse because they crowd the aisles with merchandise so you can't get around. 4. No employee knows anything about anything. 5. 52 cash registers and only 5 are open. 6. The managers don't seem too concerned about running the store properly. But I guess when you're getting paid minimum wage working for the corporate equivalent of Satan, why should they give a crap. I really need to give myself 0 stars because I always seem to come back to this store when the pain and frustration from my previous visit is forgotten over time. I HATE Wal-Mart in general. With that disclosed, the Oxnard Wal-Mart breeds even more contention than the average. A few months ago I was looking around for a new LCD t.v. I went to Fry's, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target and even K-Mart before heading over to Wal-Mart. I found a pretty good deal and was interested in purchasing it (surprise, surprise). There were 5 employees standing around the electronics cash register. I walked over and asked for some assistance. One girl sighed and rolled her eyes. She reluctantly walked over to "assist" me. I asked if they had any in stock b/c there were none under the display. She said, "We're out." I had to literally tell her to go in the back to check their inventory. She came back 10 minutes later and said, "We're out." I said, "When will you get another shipment?" She said, "Maybe tomorrow?" I said, "Does another store in the area have it?" She said, "I don't know. You can go to the Simi Valley store to check." It was like pulling teeth. I wanted to ask her, "Do you know what 2 + 2 is?" She would not call any other store to check their inventory for me. I was so frustrated with her, I asked for a manager before leaving the store b/c I wanted him or her to know that they just lost a $700 sale. I waited for almost 15 minutes and no manager came! It really wasn't that important to me, but the greeter talked me into staying, "He's on his way...He's coming." When a manager finally walked by he refused to talk to me...he looked at me, said something to the greeter and walked away! I think he went to get an English translator for me! Seriously, probably only 10% of the people in this store speak English! It feels like you're in Mexico City. (My PC side is dying to type, "Not that there's anything wrong with that.") Seriously, it's one big La Raza Fiesta in here, especially on Sundays. Pretty soon they'll be accepting the pesos. (PC says, "Not that there's anything wrong with that either.) Just go to Target, people! Wal-Mart is not THAT much cheaper than Target, it's aisles are much more crowded, the store is dingy and dirty, the patrons are generally more inclined to bathing less frequently and the check-out lines are always long! If it would let me do 0 stars I would! The last 4 times I have been in this store the lines were horrible and the staff was even worse. I waited in the express line for 30 minutes and I only had cold medicine I needed for my daughter. This store is Dirty even after reconstruction and remodeling..... I shopped in the grocery area and had to call a manager over due to finding shelves of expired products (and I don't mean by one day or week). If you shop here check your expiration dates, I found refrigerated products that had expired almost a month prior to my shopping there. And it wasn't on bottle of the item it was the whole shelf of the item. I have worked as a food safety inspector and in some cases this could be a VERY bad thing especially if a child or pregnant woman gets food poisoning, it could cause death to the child and miscarriage for the pregnant woman. One instance I asked for an item that they only had a display box for. Instead of checking I was told that the person did not remember seeing any in the back so I needed to just go on line and order the item and then come back in a few day to pick it up. The person also told me they could not tell me if there was any coming.... I USED TO WORK AT A WALMART!!!! The little hand held machine tells them how many they have in the back AND if there are any on the next truck coming in! This was not my first instance of rudeness there. The staff is horrible and I honestly think they do not like white people! I do agree that parents need to take care of their children because they are awful here, no parental care! This is the worst Walmart I have been to and I do not plan on returning. Not only is the place filthy, but the customer service is lacking immensely, the shopping carts are not visible for customers to use, the layout is not intuitive, and the parking situation is horrible. My mother and I waited in a line for over 20 minutes and no other lines were opened, no one apologized, no one came to help this struggling worker, and when we asked another employee for assistance she didn't try to help in any way. When we finally switched lanes the new worker didn't greet me, smile, or look up at me. Bottom line: I would rather drive further to find a target and next time I will. read more

Putting my social, political, and ethical concerns with shopping at Walmart aside, I still can't rate their stores anything above one star. I wish there was something lower to rate them, I really do. First, the parking situation. Was the person who designed the parking lot on drugs? It's impossible to navigate without at *least* one near-accident. The parking lanes are wide enough for traffic in both directions, which is great, until someone barrels down the middle. Two, where are their employees? Are they all in the back for yet another team huddle? About the only people I see there in uniform are the security guards. Three, shelves and displays always look like someone just gave up. I'm sure some of it has to do with nasty customers who steal, move stuff around and generally make a mess for the hell of it, but the whole place is so disorganized that I give up looking for anything and wander randomly down aisles on the off-chance I stumble across it. (Don't laugh - that's actually how I found the black-out curtains I'd spent an hour looking for....) Four, selection. I mostly shopped at Walmart for electronics, books and DVDs, but their recent remodel slashed their already meager selection to nearly non-existant. Five, quality of goods. When I was expanding my work wardrobe years ago, I bought business casual wear at Walmart a few times. After a few wearings, I was very disappointed in the quality and manufacture. I know, you get what you pay for, but in this case, my $25 dress pants were ragbin material after just 4 launderings. QA (and I) apparently missed the fact that the inseam wasn't sewn correctly and the entire inside seam on the leg RIPPED OUT, shredding the fabric. I'm sure some people like Walmart, but I never leave there that I'm not stressed out, disappointed, frustrated and feeling desperately in need of a shower. read more

I mean... When you have to stop at Walmart it's usually because you really need something that they have. You are driven rather by availability, price point, or it's the only place open. Why someone would come here on a Saturday afternoon baffled me...but tats what I did! Just an absolute mess. I could t even browse. I didn't even want to walk the aisles. In fact I walked in grabbed dog biscuits and then ran to get out of here. I think every single family that lives within a 10 mile radius was here. Ridiculous. I also think this is the largest store I've ever seen. It has a deli counter in the back of the produce area. That being said / no way can you find anything. It's like the store just shoved stock out on the floor or shelves or where ever they can find a spot. Candy displays on top of underwear displays shoved against Tupperware area. I typically have a so-so experience when I come here. As a matter of fact, I try to avoid this place altogether as much as possible. Today, I had the worst experience. My sister placed an order online, she got a text that it was delivered to the store so I went to go pick it up. My niece and I got there and the place was empty. There was however people walking in and out of the vicinity. A lady was in the sitting area reading a book because she was getting her car serviced and said she had to wait 2 hours. She told us to ring the buzzer so we did. No one came out. Whenever someone came out of the back room, I asked if he/she can have someone help us and they would walk back there and no one would help. This happened SIX times. A manager came up to us asking if we needed help, I said I did then he walked away. Yeah, that happened. We were there for nearly 20 minutes waiting to be helped. The lady waiting for her car told me "good luck getting help. If they're on break, they won't help you." That about sums up this fine establishment. They must have really cleaned up their act. I was expecting a cesspool of society when I visited yesterday. Ok there were a few people who looked a bit like bottom dwellers. But the store was nice. The floors were shiny and clean. The bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. The merchandise shelves were well stocked. Our cashier was delightful -- a sweet little lady asking us about the craw fish we bought. A customer in line behind us made pleasant conversation with us as well. I don't go to Walmart much but heck this place wasn't bad. I tend to home-in on Walmart more when I travel. This one compares favorably to Palm Springs, Columbia South Carolina, and Prescott AZ. It is a shining star compared to Simi Valley and Las Vegas, both of which are filthy dirty and poorly stocked. There is room for improvement. They need more cashiers. They shouldn't assume their customers have more time than money. We waited in line 17 minutes to buy 4 items. Yes, I timed it. They need to chase off the guy who accosts you in the parking lot, asking for money. It feels unsafe and intimidating. He's bogus and I wanted to kick his ass. Based on the other reviews I suggest you avoid Walmart at night and weekends. Seems if you could get there before 2:00, you could have a reasonably pleasant shopping experience. read more

Took my car for an oil change. Guy said it'd take 3hrs. Asked him to be sure to reset my dashboard notification. Get a call in 40 minutes saying my car's done. Wow, that was disconcertingly fast. Dashboard notification wasn't reset. Noticed when I got home that my hood was ajar... hmmm. That's odd, it wasn't like that before. Got on the interstate in the morning to go to work and... WHACK! Hood flies up and shatters my windshield. I'm flying down the interstate unable to see. Shaking, crying. Cost me an insurance deductible, a day at work, and almost my life. Management did not care...
