Was in Walmart all of 20 minutes in Coventry Rhode Island center New England store and multiple teenagers were running around the store screaming scaring everybody who heard the scream and they were little kids in the area I will no longer be coming to this location after a certain time frame and if it continues I will altogether stop coming here to shop. Eh, this Wal-Mart is truly a hit or miss. It's the one I go to the most but there's somethings I really don't enjoy about it but there's reasons why I tolerate it and I will explain both. But first and foremost this Walmart is no longer running on a 24 hour schedule right now but they are a super store so it's huge and they literally have everything, expect to be In here about 2 hours at the least. I'm warning you now! Let's get into it. The parking lot is huge, so don't worry about a parking spot you're good to go with that. They have an area for curbside pick up ( I'll go into detail in a minute) , and they have a drive up pharmacy. Now the store for the most part is usually always very clean, but also they're always seeming to be doing stock so navigating this store is annoying with a carriage. There's always employees down the isles, and they don't know manners. Also since you can do curbside now a lot of employees are down the isles picking for customers which is fine, just once again hard time navigate around. Don't expect to find an employee on the floor to help you, it's not happening. A few times I've come here maybe about 3 employees have made me smile, and were really nice but that's about it and I've been here about 3 dozen times. So maybe more help and smiling faces. Now to curbside pick up I lose this concept, because you been buy your groceries online pick a time slot to pick them up and boom grab it when the time slot comes, but lately since the shortage of staff, my 1-2pm slot turned into a 3pm pick up when I had to be at work for 3:30pm, this was a serious issue. Tracy an employee who works for curbside was very nice gave me all the details and was trying her best, but there also was about 25 cars out there waiting and I've never seen it so backed up. So be mindful with this. The lines are not so bad compared to some other Walmarts I've been too, but they do have a lot of self serve kiosks so those are helpful. There's a lot of little things that can be worked on here. One last thing, make sure you have the Wal-Mart app because sometimes an item in store will say 10.00 and the app will literally say it's 5.00, and they have to price match that. This Walmart is clean, well stocked and convenient. Lots of curbside parking spots and workers are always friendly.

I paid an extra $10 when I had my daughters oil changed so that they would vacuum the floor of the car. I even mentioned that the floor was a mess under my grandson's car seat and that specifically was what I wanted vacuumed. Foolish me, I did not check to see if they did a competent job, but I will attach a photo and you be the judge. I shop at this Walmart often and for most everything u need they're really good . But the automotive shop is a joke . So they say we're open until 7 pm and I bring my truck in for an oil change at 5 yesterday and they say we don't have time .. hold on there chief ... your open for 2 more hours and there are zero cars in the bays . The Walmart Tire Center allowed us to purchase a single tire on-line, schedule the install of the 1 tire, and let us prepay for both. When we got there, they said we only install 4 tires on all wheel drive cars. It's an old work truck that I got a flat in, we didn't need 4 new tires. We cancelled the purchase, but then changed our minds a few hours later because we knew a place that would mount the tire for us. Walmart said the tire would be 60+ more dollars to buy only and take with us. They said we would have to order it online again and wait for another tire to be shipped to the store, to get the online price - even though the tire was right there on the counter. My daughter and I live in Pawtucket, R.I. About 40 miles north of Coventry. I've been really impressed with this Walmart Supercenter since I began shopping here a couple of months ago. If you're reading this at the time it was published or are seeing it in the future and note the date it in which it was written you'll know that there are currently limited options when it comes to supply runs. Its really nice to be able to conduct one stop shopping at this location. This place is huge, well-stocked (all things considered), with great variety. I've been able to pick up cotton fabric, thread, buttons, elastic and more for sewing masks and hair coverings to wear to work. I've walked in with an impromptu food list figuring I'd see what I could find and supplement elsewhere but I found everything I needed straight down to the brands that I prefer. I've had the opportunity to slip in specialty items for Easter, birthdays, and the like. The store has really helped to bring a sense of normalcy to life and for a big, chain enterprise, its been a pleasant surprise. This is my go-to Walmart location now for sure. It's worth the extra time it takes for me to travel here. (Especially since they had toilet paper here one trip!!!) read more

Came to this location on 4/29 and noticed multiple milks had expired on 4/09, 4/20, and 4/26. I tried to see if someone was in the back of the milk fridges to let them know but didn't see anyone. I told 3 associates at the service desk they might want to let the person in charge of that department know. I went back to this location 2 days later 5/1 and they're still in the refrigerator! So this was no exception. We went camping and we ended up at Walmart. It never seems to fail that there is something that we need and Walmart always has it. I would agree with this Walmart's three-star, overall average rating, and also agree with other reviewers' sentiments that it is one of the better Walmart stores in Rhode Island. Besides relatively low prices, the best thing about Walmart is that it offers one-stop shopping. The store's layout makes sense (to me, anyway). The grocery section is on the left side of the store, and just about anything else one could need for home, auto or personal care is in the right two-thirds of this massive store. That said, I do have more than my share of gripes about this Walmart. Deli service is slow. Popular items are sometimes out of stock on the shelves. There are not many associates on the merchandise floor, so if you need help finding something, good luck. There are often not enough registers open, which is why I almost always use the self-checkout. The location is not too convenient, either. You have to drive past several other businesses and almost to the end of Centre of New England Boulevard - a long and very bumpy road off the main road - to get to Walmart. read more

Coventry Walmart is probably the only Walmart that isn't ghetto actually. The store is clean where as most others are not organized and dirty. This one is 24 hours which is convenient and you won't find cheaper prices on just about everything. The grocery department is huge, they also have a salon, subway, nails, bank, cell phone store etc all inside. I think it is way better then Target personally they have a bigger selection and better prices. Nothing exceptional, probably the best Walmart in RI though. One of the few 24-hour Walmarts, the staff are generally polite and try their best to help. Bigger than the average Walmart (located off interstate highway) so more selection and services such as tires, 24-hour, pharmacy, etc... Prices are good, however I have seen milk cheaper at the Westerly store. Management tries to decorate the store festive for each holiday which is refreshing and makes the general atmosphere a little better. This is hands down the worst place to buy produce. No matter what time you go or on what day, the produce is there to disappoint. I don't blame the workers but good god managers, have some pride in your product! Tomatoes are always baby poop squishy, the cucumbers bend to 60 degree angles and if you ever buy a peach or plum, expect a very sad experience. Looks pretty old - the flooring is some sort of brown concrete with some cracks. They've tried updating their fixtures and general layout, but the structure itself definitely gives off the cliche Walmart vibe of dingy and cheap. The bathrooms are also pretty gnarly. As far as a Wal-Mart goes, this one isn't half bad. But then again, it's a Wal-mart. The selection of food here is pretty impressive, though I don't shop here regularly. This is a relatively newer store that is setup pretty well with plenty of fresh fruit/veggies and a good selection of other food items. I was able to find some bed linens that I'll need tomorrow when I move into my new apt and they had them at a good price of just $14.88, which my wife told me was a very good price for those (she's much more knowledgeable than me on this type of thing). Not a store that I'll be shopping at on a regular basis, I'll be shopping closer to Pawtucket instead. read more

i know, i know i am reviewing Walmart. lol. But this one is the cleanliest, most organized, most convenient Walmart I've ever been to. The fact that it's 24 hours is awesome. This store has variety of fresh greens and fruits, which i found hard to see at other Walmarts in RI. From clothing, baby section, furnitures, kitchen supplies, garden, tire, paints, electronics, etc, you name it, they have it ALL. They even do photo prints! The best part is that they have multiple self-checkout registers that makes checking out so convenient. The only downside would be the meat&seafood section that needs more variety and freshness.
