Well, we came in looking for securiry cameras. They have a few kinds. Picked one of the 'cards' you take to check out, and then took the receipt to customer service so they can get the item from the locked area. Except there aren't any in the locked area. So, we got a refund. Spent a few minutes of our time. Not the end of the world. Just disappointing. Store is gianormous. Staff were lovely. Lots of parking. Happy shopping. read more

Wow what a difference in customer service from a year ago! Lisa helped us with getting us the missing piece for our trampoline that we bought a week ago and Michael helped my husband find it and get it! The last 2 trips here have been significantly better than all of the other trips we've made here! read more

BJ's Wholesale Club - Membership advertising benefits of upgrading - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Coventry, Rhode Island

BJ's as well as Costco (Warehouse clubs in general) are great places to get paper goods. After comparing the unit price of several items against similar items at Walmart, Target and other discount stores, the regular price at BJ's is still a very good deal. The best thing is to get them when you also get a digital coupon....Need to check your BJ"s app every 2-3 weeks to see what coupons are available. read more

Today I went to BJ's, and there was one employee who gave me only one coupon even though I bought two large packs of paper towels. Her attitude was also very unpleasant. Last time I came, there was a young girl who was like an angel--she didn't even wait for me to ask and helped me find six coupons for food wraps on her own. I'm also a business owner, and I always spend a lot when I shop here. But with that kind of rude attitude, it really makes me not want to buy as much anymore. The management should really train employees better--after all, customers are bringing money to your business. I honestly hope Costco opens a store here soon! read more

BJ's Wholesale Club in Coventry is easily accessible off the I-95 so I usually stop by on my trips from NY to Rhode Island or vice versa. The gas station is connected to the wholesale club which makes it convenient. Usually, there are no lines or only a few minute queue to get gas. The aisles and the store is very organized. When I came on a Friday afternoon, there were no staff at the registers and had to use the self-checkout registers. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is one of the places nearby so if you are hungry, there are plenty of options. read more

BJ's Wholesale Club - Dessertssssssss - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Coventry, Rhode Island

Store is set up similar to all the other BJs so it makes things easy to find when you go to a store that is not your normal one. We were looking for a particular couch that we saw at our BJ store but all they had was the display model. With Covid and all we were not comfortable buying the floor model. So the customer service rep checked other stores in the area. Found that this BJs had 2, the floor model and one in a box. In hindsight we should have worked with our store rep to purchase the couch, but being independent we decided to go home and consider our options since the store was a good 45 minute drive from us. We called the store to verify they had the item in a box and verified the price. Unfortunately they said that they could not hold the item for us. We offered to pay in advance but their manager would not accommodate us. Understand that we would be driving to the neighboring state in hopes no one bought the item in the time they checked on it and the time we arrived. Disappointed to say the least on their unwillingness to help. So..... we got in the car and hightailed it up the interstate in hopes they would still have it. Lucky for us, it was in stock still. But there were two different prices noted for the same item. Took some photos of the prices then went to check out. We did get it at the sale price so we were happy in that respect. Getting it home is a whole other story! As it did not completely fit in the SUV we had and it took some manipulation of how to put it into the back. Would have been easier if it was light, but everyone knows that couches are heavy and hard to grab. We are loyal BJ customers so we will continue to go to our store, but this one out of our state just disappointed us and put us through some unneeded aggravation. Their staff were friendly and answered our questions, it's just it seems they did not want to get that "sale". read more

Could not find a product that was on sale, went to service desk they told me it was in aisle 30-31 when I told them I already checked there they got rude. I asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager did not have time, to busy. When I asked if they meant the manager was to busy to speak with a customer, they said yes. Don't think I will be renewing my membership. read more

You should never need to wait in a line of several carts to exit the store while one person at the door meticulously and slowly counts every item in your cart; particularly if you didn't even use self checkout. They are typically much faster than this and don't go through every item individually. Treating everyone like thieves and a line to leave after you have paid. On top of that they have self checkout for up to 20 items and a single register open with many people waiting for those with more than 20. read more

This is a nice store. First time i visited this location. My dad needed to stop here the other day. So i was looking around. They have a lot of stuff. Bakery department is a joke. Went there at 12:45 pm on March 21 for a picture cake order to be picked up the morning of March 31. Info was taken down and was told I was all set, and when I went to pick up the cake today they "did not have any order". Put a big damper on a retirement party. Also was told when I placed the order that they opened at 8, but that's only for the elderly, for most they open at 9. read more

I would like to tell corporate office that sometimes their brand is NOT as good as the popular brand of the item. At least carry both brands to give people a choice. I am referencing Macadamia nuts. The BJ brand has a weird after taste but the Mauna Loa is always tried and true. read more

Many prices in the Coventry location are more expensive than in local grocery stores. Especially beef. The customer service team in front is rude, sarcastic, and unhelpful. A customer may feel like the staff is doing us a favor if we need help with self check out. The customer is paying for membership here. At least treat us with some respect. Usually, in my many years of experience, This type of behavior stems from poor management. This review does not cover all the employees in the store. There are employees there that do care and are very helpful. This is specifically for the customer service people at the service desk and front of the store. read more

Needed bread and cheese on the week my wallet was stolen. I went in reported to the customer service my wallet was stolen and I needed a replacement card. Come to find out my membership expired 19 days ago. She asked if I wanted to renew my membership and I explained that I couldn't renew as my wallet was stolen, I only had limited cash for the time being and the only thing recouped was my license and cancelled cards from the theft. Without hesitation she told me to go pick up my bread and cheese and come back to her at the desk. After saying don't worry about it, she persistently told me to go grab my items. I cannot thank this woman enough. Walmart was only two seconds away and the kindness and persistence after such a horrible week, she restored my faith in humanity. This is why I continue to renew my membership here. The people. read more

Awful parking for curbside pickup Need more spots or move the curbside area down the row and had more spaces ! Couldn't even get in a space and had to keep circling Also- when at self checkout it's awful and slow to react to purchases so I have to keep taking things off the belt and running them through , I get so aggravated I wait for a real person then they only have 2 cashiers So I use the curbside pickup and wait over 15 minutes !! Just very frustrating read more

The store is awesome, but they really need to change the person at the door. The person really scared my kid, with the way they are looking. It not professional and should be addressed. It not Halloween, so they can dress appropriately. read more

BJ'S are usually - USUALLY - pretty good and all pretty much the same in the same area. Especially when it comes to the basics... and I means basics. I don't need 82 rolls of Bounty or enough Charmin to keep me comfy in the bathroom until 2019, but what I DO want is my case of Diet Coke. Because, after all, I believe Diet Coke is the best-selling soda on the planet? This BJ's had the case (24 20oz bottles) all year up until a few months ago. I asked about it at "customer service" and they had no clue. I e-mailed BJ's customer service, and actually got a pretty quick response and they said that the Coventry warehouse most definitely still carried it. Um, OK. Back three more times for my "fix" (I don't drink coffee or smoke, so we all need our thing, right?), and no Diet Coke. None, zilch, zip, nada. I'll get it at another warehouse location.... read more

Ordinarily I'm satisfied with this place until today. I arrived with a family member to do some shopping and we noticed that they had hand sanitizer so I grabbed two and she had grabbed two and we went to check out, the cashier was rude when she said only one per customer.... first off there was no sign stating this and she didn't have to be so rude about it. I was only buying two, one for each of my jobs as I am employed in the medical field, not looking for special treatment yet I wasn't being greedy and buying 40.... only two read more

BJ's corporate management should be ashamed of themselves. They are so out of touch with their employees. After 9 years of back breaking work my 69 year old mother decided to leave. Not a single person including the HR lead had any idea it was her last day, even after she gave them a 3 week notice. Not a single person cared enough that she dedicated 9 years of her life to making the crap food that their customers bought. Not that she was expecting a party, but at the very least some acknowledgement from someone, anyone would have been at least more decent then nothing. She told me with a tear in her eye and I'm quite frankly not surprised. Most stories she told me over the years were of the lack of personal care for the people that keep the company running. Shame on BJ's, their half ass uneducated management staff and their corporate offices. Shame on your management, shame on this corporation. You should consider changing your name to BS. read more

I do not recommend goin to the gas station while the employee Sherri is working she uses vulgar language and thinks she can speak how she wants to paying customers! She thinks she can just be rude and inconsiderate talking to others like a complete B**** then she is always smoking cigarettes over at the air pump and stinks of disgusting smoke walking over blowing her smoke into my face with my child in the car she said "go call corporate Ive been here 21 years they won't believe you I'm the best attendant they have" is she proud of that? BJs you lost another customer today! Ps she also uses an ex manger Courtney's card to give people she chooses 25 cents off a gallon how is THAT even right!? Then steps on my foot with her boot and says "get over it it was an accident " like I wasn't suppose to be upset that she is in my personal space following the rules NOT on my phone just simply holding it in my hand! read more

My go to place for all my bulky needs. While I go to the Johnston, RI BJ's that's close to my work place and more convenient if I need to pick up a giant roll of toilet paper or paper towels. However, this club appears to be bigger and is expanding based on the amount of construction going around in the club at the time of this writing. A big one-up that this place has over the other BJ's is the gas they offer here which arguably is the cheapest I can find usually in all of RI. Plus a full auto shop and inside a plaza with a Home Depot and a Walmart. You can expect to get all your shopping done here and the other places for your one or two small items that you need. Definitely a one stop shop and easy to get to as it's right off I-95. Oh and on some days like the summer there's a Del's truck that's right across the street from BJ's if you have the burning need for some of that frozen goodness! read more

Never liked this place much. Expensive people are rude. On the plus side gas is cheap.

This is a great wholesale club. Been going here from a few years now. They always have great stuff and great prices. Service bay is a little on the slow side, but they do good work. Gas station always has the best prices in the state. In some cases by 10-15 cents per gallon. read more

The deli here is problematic. The couple times I've been in there the older male employee working the counter, Amador, has had a surly and stand-offish attitude without my having done anything to provoke it (except be nice?). I didn't ask for extra salt, figuratively speaking. I've also witnessed him yelling at another employee in front of guests over something trivial--behavior which is very unbecoming to him and the store. This is why you hire based on personality and qualifications, not to fill some politically correct quota. Other than that, I've had no problems with the other employees who are always prompt, curteous, and professional. I also like the quality and selection of food at this location. Plus, it's nice and clean as well. read more

I used to think that only a select clientele came here when I was younger and would go with a friend. The people aren't any better than the people that go to any other stores you don't have to pay a fee to buy from. Whatever. I was young dumb and you know the story. This store isn't good with stocking. You can't depend on it having what it is suppose to carry. I find the store in Middletown much better with a more extensive selection than this store. I assume because this store is in the Devil's Triangle of Consumer Evil, i.e. Centre of New England Boulevard, that it has way too many consumers buying them out of their goods. (Any place, store or whatever that pretentiously spells words with a foreign spelling to make it look like it is better than it is is guilty of trying to use it's own name to use as a selling point or as an attraction device and should be fined everyday for the sake of demonstrating how pompous and unnecessary this practice is. I digress.) Middletown doesn't have the gas pumps though and is on Aquidneck Island. Who wants to spend toll money to go to a store you have to pay money to shop at? No sense I say. The "bargains" are not always bargains so shop smart. Every now and then they have "specials sails" where everyone crowds around to get something free like a flashlight for listening to some sales spiel for a product that really no one needs. The coupons are alright. You have to pay attention to their dates though so look close. I like that they have self check outs now. The lines go faster and you can get help easier. read more

If I could leave no stars that's what I would do. When my family and I were trying to check out we were extremely disrespected by an employ. When we tried to express our concern she replied with "whatever" and walked away from us. She continued to make comments at us as she walked away. We decided to leave everything we were going to buy and made the decision that we will not be shopping at BJ's anymore. The disrespect was un real and the employs should have a training on how to properly talk to people. read more

BJ's clubs really can save money if you can buy in bulk. This store has a very good selection of name brands I buy all the time. Went to BJ's , Center of New England , Coventry RI, to purchase a patio set today , checked on line to be sure they had them in stock! got there paid for it , then they tell us " it is up on a top deck in the warehouse and no one here can drive a fork lift to bring it down, you will have to come back to pick it up" What??? no one at the wholesale warehouse club can drive a fork lift? you cant be serious, well yes they were, I talked to the manager on duty who said, " they don't schedule anyone who drives a forklift Monday thru Wednesday because they usually don't have to move anything" again.. WHAT??? But they had no problem taking our money, so when i tell them that this is a huge problem, i had to have a family member with a truck meet me and i have other obligations , this was the only night i am free to pick it up, They looked at me like i just asked them to give me a kidney! so again they say " you can just come back tomorrow" well if i wasn't working, or didn't have to have help picking it up , maybe i could! so consider yourself warned Monday thru Wednesday if you need something and it nor right there in front of you , they might not be able to help you . I am so disappointed , why would anyone think that a warehouse club would deliberately NOT staff their store " because we usually don't have to move anything" Now I have to call the manager again tomorrow make sure the item gets brought down from the top deck and make all new arrangements , BJ's will you compensate me for your understaffing? read more
