It's more than just a drug store; we'd buy our school supplies, toiletries, holiday candy, Hallmark cards and cosmetics. Now, I'll drive a farther distance out of my way to go to CVS vs another pharmacy. This location is no different and I'm here at least once a week... It's homey with the carpeted floors and compact shelves, overflowing with merchandise. It's always the same pleasant staff that greet you warmly with an eagerness to assist. The music is always pleasant, whether it's holiday music in December or oldies the rest of the year. And you can actually hear it instead of carts on tiled floors like in other stores! The self- checkout is a huge benefit, even if it is overly sensitive and you usually need a staff member to assist each time-- luckily they're quick to help! The 1-hour photo center is more like a 5-minute photo center! Yes, prices are higher than the grocery store.... but there's always so many coupons and promos in the app, not to mention the frequent 20-30% coupons that you receive, plus cash back. This Walgreens has its own private parking lot with strict 30 min parking spots to keep things moving. I had no trouble finding a parking spot, even at a busy time of day. Assumption #2: The pharmacy must be tiny with not a large variety of OTC products & other goods. Verdict: Wrong! It's very deceiving. It looks super small from the outside, but it's pretty spacious inside with a large beauty & skin section. I found the exact falsies I was looking for. It was clean inside, the staff was friendly, & I found the experience to be not-frustrating which is generally what I'm looking for when it comes to pharmacy errands. The store is kind of old and not nicely remodeled, but it's large and roomy. I took time to check on their canes (prices, options, brands, etc) and they did have a good selection of them. As many other Walgreens, they have a large area for paper goods, snacks, health and beauty, vitamins, OTC items, etc. I kept running into this nice lady and she was always very pleasant and friendly, greeting me with a hello and a smile every time. They're in Johnston approximately 7 miles or so from my house but I'd rather drive there than deal with another cvs or Walgreens. However they do deliver.
