Clean store. Great prices. Located nears lots of other retailers. This location has deli. Nice selection. As with other locations can be longer lines at checkout.

Once I moved to Providence and started going to the Valley Price Rite, my prayers were soon answered as one was constructed in Johnston, about equidistant from my place. I love this shiny brand new price rite. They apparently took the best and brightest from local stores to staff this one. I have never encountered an unpleasant cashier or clerk here. They do unfortunately still have a security officer, but he almost seems bored at this location. The flow of the store is a lot better than that of the Valley st store, and the produce is arranged in a much more logical manner. I have noticed this store carries a lot more name brand products and has slightly higher price points for the name brand products, but I assume that is more because this is a suburban store near the affluent town of scituate. This store doesn't have the selection of the Valley st. store but it has all the heavy hitters you would want. They also have added a deli since opening, and while they don't take orders for pick up they do have a case of pre sliced deli meats and cheeses in 1/2 lb and 1 lb containers. Again, they have an impressive quantity of UTZ snacks, and their layout is much more similar to a conventional grocery store than other Price Rites I have gone to. Plus, when I leave this store, if there were any items they weren't able to provide me with, I can swoop by stop and shop on the way back.

I am going to keep it simple. Not a bad store BUT! The deli service is HORRIBLE. Zero customer service training. Rude, slow......

Not "just opened five minutes ago" clean, but consistently well-kept. Aisles are clear, shelves are stocked, and nothing feels chaotic even when it's busy, which, let's be honest, it usually is. The staff deserves a mention. People here are actually helpful. Not the kind of help where someone points vaguely down an aisle and disappears, but the kind where they'll stop what they're doing and make sure you find what you need. It makes a difference. Layout is straightforward, too. You're not wandering in circles trying to track down one item while slowly losing your patience. Everything's where you'd expect it to be, and that alone makes grocery shopping feel less like a chore. Then there's the pricing. This is where Market Basket really separates itself. You can fill a cart without that moment of dread at checkout. Prices are consistently lower than most places around here, and it's not because they're cutting corners, it's just genuinely good value. The prepared foods are better than they need to be for a grocery store. Nothing fancy, but solid, dependable, and perfect for nights when you don't feel like cooking. The takeout kitchen is a bit of a hidden gem. The pizza, especially, is surprisingly good, fresh, satisfying, and priced in a way that makes grabbing a whole pie feel like a no-brainer. And finally, the parking lot. It's big. Really big. You're not circling like a vulture waiting for someone to leave--you just park and go, which already puts you in a better mood before you even walk in. All in, this is just a well-run store that gets the basics right--and then some. Clean, affordable, friendly, and efficient. Hard to ask for much more than that.

She listened to what I wanted, and when I showed her a photo of my daughter's dress, she made great suggestions. The next day, I was surprised to receive a phone call from Sharon. It turned out that my daughter's date had also ordered a prom flowers at Dave's and Sharon was calling to ask if it would be ok if she deviated a little from what we had discussed so that their boutonniere and bouquet could match. I oof course said yes, and I was so impressed that Sharon had taken time to call me and I was equally impressed with how much thought she was putting into the flowers. Both the bouquet and the boutonniere were absolutely beautiful with dainty lavender roses, white hydrangeas, lovely accent greens, and a beautiful bow. The service I received here and the quality of the flowers was outstanding - far better than some full service florists. I'll definitely be going back here for future dance flowers, and I'd like to give a huge shoutout to Sharon for her thoughtfulness and the beautiful flowers she provided for prom.

The fresh seafood selection as well as butcher section are fantastic! I enjoy their meats like steaks and pre-made burger patties. This particular location is always clean and well stocked and I like that they have free fresh coffee while you shop. With brand names as well as local products, Dave's is what I look for in a local grocery market.

I also buy other ogranic items such as nuts and dried fruits as well as flour and sugar. Their turkey products are not as available as previously (I used those turkey cutlets all the time!) but they have plenty of chicken and beef. The cheese section is very good. Grind your coffee beans in house if you like. A nice tea selection. A few health and beauty items. Season items like fried onions for holiday cooking. Shared parking lot sometimes gets filled closest to the store front as there are several other businesses using that space. Shopping carts are stored outside by the door. Hand baskets are inside the vestibule.

For a change of pace, its not a bad thing. The asides are bigger and are slightly slanted and store is clean and simple. Now I would say it's a step above Aldis, but slightly more expensive. All that said, this store has a terrible parking situation. Small, shared lot, and the light is long and tends to back traffic up. They really could benefit from moving across the street to old Price Right where the parking is much more ample, and there's more space for traffic to back up. They could even add a little space if they did that.

Having never been, I decided to take a chance, pulled a loop de loop, and found a parking space in their decently sized lot that is shared with several other businesses in hopes I could find everything I'd need. Verdict: I almost did! Good news is that I was able to find adequate substitutes to meet my needs. I was mostly in the market for fresh produce and meats and everything was looking mighty fresh. Employees were actively restocking the produce so everything was plentiful in this section. I was hoping to find some ground veal but went home with ground beef instead. Being new to this location, it took me longer than usual to find everything I needed but everyone was very helpful and super nice while I was checking out. I was excited to find some very large pumpkins out front as well so that I didn't need to stop anywhere else for some pumpkin carving that was on the docket for that weekend as well. Small but packed to the gills with product. Family-owned with a hometown feel. Someone was grilling up food just outside the exit which would have been tempting had I not just eaten a very large brunch.
