Three things that are a must when grocery shopping is a good price, a good selection, and consistency. This Aldi's has all three. I have been to some locations where their produce section isn't as great, but here, I have always found what I needed and it's fresh.. The employees do a good job of restocking, and keeping items as organized as possible. They have a lot of self-check-out registers, and 1-2 human operated registers. I have never waited for more than 5 minutes in line. I always look forward to their weekly flyers to see what specials they have, some of which are really incredible. They do operate on a coin system for carts which keeps the parking lot clear of lingering carts. The parking lot is very spacious. This store is located in a plaza and around a lot of good businesses so it's a good area to run errands, eat a meal, and grocery shop in the same trip. read more

Be careful at this location. Lots of scammers asking for money. I had someone steal something out of my cart while my back was turned & I was packing my groceries after check out. Store is very clean, neat & well stocked. read more

So sad for a brand new store. Totally picked over, empty boxes all over. For a new store that just opened, that renovated and expanded, this should be fully stocked and clean. Very disappointed. read more

This ALDI location got a glow up and is now quite Bougie. They've begun carrying more brand named products and invested in self checkout stations for small grocery orders. Thanks future overpriced condominiums popping up across the street. They've already made traffic 100% worse but at least the stores in the adjacent plazas will be nicer. read more

Price, Price, Price! I really hesitated to try this store and I regret doing that. The price was about 39% less than the other market I use. Not going to find specialty brands or high end products, the fruit can be iffy, and the store is crowded. But they have an excellent bakery section, decent meats, and good frozen food changes. On of my favorite grocery stores. The parking lot is large and traffic flows well. The store was recently expanded and refurbished in the past couple of years and it looks great. It is bright inside and the isles are wide compared to some other stores. Employees are always helpful and friendly whenever I needed to find something or at checkout. The prices are good and since the store expansion the product selection has grown to the point I rarely need to go to another store to get an item they do not carry. Produce quality can be good or bad depending on the day and how long since it was put on the floor. Some produce are not in coolers but left at room temperature so I sometimes find rotted or overripe products as I did with the tomatoes on May 2 2024. Overall a great store but look good at the produce before buying. read more

A combination of Trader Joe's (started by the same family) and a food warehouse, Aldi has mostly private label options at excellent prices. I didn't care for it the first time I walked in, but have changed my mind. Their dry cereal is of decent quality - and the plain shredded wheat is the only one I buy any more since it doesn't have preservatives, is tasty and seems to be less processed than Whole Foods'. The milk and cheese are fine but I don't care for their yoghurt. There's more here than meets the eye, but you may be turned off at first: carriages require a $.25 refundable deposit (to ensure you return them without a clerk having to manage clean up), and staff are scarce on the floor. The checkout lines can be long but they are efficient - the seated cashier loads your items into a carriage (which you can't take from them unless you paid a deposit for your own). There are no bags here unless you bring your own or buy them, and you're expected to move the cashier-filled carriage to the shelf at the side to do your own bagging. There are weekly specials on non-grocery things; I bought a very nice upholstered chair and ottoman (just had to screw them together at home) for $110! read more

Aldi is great. It's not for everything on your grocery list, but it works for all of the basics at a bargain. You bag your own food and need a quarter to use a shopping cart. Debit and cash is all they accept. Staff is This store is tucked in a plaza between a Rent a Center and a sad looking furniture store. There's also a place called "Hot Leather" in the plaza. I can only imagine what they sell. Chips and snacks are really good here. I'd rather pay $1.49 for a bag of Aldi branded chips than double that elsewhere. Flour, sugar, salt, etc. won't be King Arthur, Domino, or Morton, but Aldi brand works just the same in my digestive system. Milk and eggs are cheap. At one point last year, I saw the Aldi in Milford MA advertise eggs for $0.49 a dozen... I should stock up for Halloween @ 4 cents an egg. Meats look iffy. Produce is only OK. Frozen foods are pretty good. They frequently stock Boca Burgers. Mama Cozzi's Rising Crust pizzas are really good for $3 or so. Medium shell-on shrimp is $3.99/lb. If you don't like anything that you have bought, Aldi has the DOUBLE guarantee. They refund your money AND replace the product. Seems easily exploitable. Do this enough and you can start your own grocery store. read more

Yeay it's May - Celiacs Awareness Month. Last year was the first time I needed to do GF shopping and was recommended to go here. They always "celebrate" the holidays with yummy foods and treats specifically around that time of year. My favorite is Chinese New Year! omg those dumpling soups!!! But the most important one for me is the month of May they have TONS of GF foods and it's like a pat on the back for celiacs because it's really tough to cook 3 meals a day from scratch. So great!! I usually have to make a trip to another grocery store 2x a month because obviously this place doesn't have everything but it is still a hidden gem with the prices & the non food items are nice too!! **Bring your own bags, Bring a quarter for the cart and be prepared to bag your own items. read more

Typically I end up in Aldi while my clothes are going through their spin cycle a few doors down. Aldi is not my fave discount grocer (See Price Rite), but they do have interesting items that make it worth the stroll through every week or two. They are not a place to rely on for staples or consistent offerings. I will commend them on carrying great priced whole30 compliant pasta sauce, quality affordable hummus, and all the dried nuts/fruits one may desire at a fraction of the cost. Sometimes the odd item will jump out at me, but I have found that soy and corn syrup run abundant to keep prices so low. read more

Okay...I can not do a complete grocery shopping here regularly just because of my tendency to buy the brand names I have grown up on...BUT, I have recently been branching out due to trying to eat healthier. They have some great deals on many everyday products - milk, eggs, crackers, chips, granola bars, trail mix, buns & loaf bread, etc. - but there are also some more "gourmet" type of items that I will specifically come here for at bargain prices compared to all the other markets! (Kalamata Olives and Marinated artichoke hearts as examples). I have tried their frozen salmon filets and find them tasty and easy to cook a healthier, quick, week night dinner. They also have random sales on household items here and there (great if you need what they have on sale). (I got a folding banquet table here last summer for less than Wally World's best price!) My only complaint is the check out process - Bring your own bags (I forget sometimes) or you can buy them cheaply at the register. My gripe is - there is usually only one cashier on...on the weekend two cashiers.... I know, it keeps costs down, etc....but, it makes it tough to run in and run out at times.....All in all, I like this store and will continue to shop here! read more

Important to note that they do not accept credit cards. Only cash and debit. Have a quarter on hand to get your carriage. Don't worry; you'll get it back when you bring it back the the corral. Both my father and father-in-law swear by Aldi (different locations, though that's not really important), and after hearing them both sing its praises I had to stop in and look for myself. I cannot believe this place. Butter, milk and half & half, all a buck cheaper than Stop & Shop. Muffin mix and tinned mushrooms? About thirty cents cheaper. Potatoes for $3/lb. My wife and I shopped here this past Saturday just to check it out and then went to Stop & Shop as usual. The only comparable prices at S&S were on stuff that was 50% off, buy one get one, or on sale for some whopping discount. Nearly everything was about 33% (or more!) cheaper at Aldi. The downside is that it's a smallish shop with a limited number of items. The vast majority of stuff here is store brand (though of good quality), so if you have any name brand stuff you can't do without, odds are you'll have to go somewhere else. There isn't quite the variety you'd get at one of the major markets either. The meat seems fine, though the produce is hit-or-miss on freshness. I'll be stopping here every grocery day from now on. A really great place to pick up those things you're sure to need every week. read more

Looking for kale veggie burgers for less than two bucks? Run to Aldi's! Like their other locations, the East Providence storefront that was once home to Job Lot, is clean, convenient and cheap. However, this is not my favourite Aldi's. While their selection is vast and there are plenty of deals to be had, the staff is alright. A couple times we literally waited in line for more than 5 minutes for the cashier to show up (still not sure what was up with that). Still, it's Aldi's. I'd rather put up with subpar (confusing) customer service and save 20 bucks than pay more at Stop n Shop for self checkout. read more

Went to the new Aldi's in Fall River.It is cavernous! The huge aisles and high ceilings are just weird. There is very little food product for the size of the store. It is impossible to do a weeks shopping because they are so limited. The housewares dept. in the middle doesn't make sense. When I went to check out there were NO checkers...none. An employee walked right by smiled and kept going. I waited another 5 minutes and finally a young guy came. By the time I was checking out there were 11 people behind me. Still just one cashier. I will never go back...the guy was quite rude when I complained about the situation. In the parking lot some people came up to me and said they would never go back either. Just to say I like the Middletown store.The checkers are very fast, friendly and efficient...the store is much smaller but has the same products...... read more

MOLD. I'm done with this Aldi, the first mold issues were with produce; I got some blackberries, put them in the fridge, took them out the next day and they were moldy. Granted, I brought them back and they gave me my money back and let me pick out new blackberries (after waiting 10 minutes for someone to help me because there were only 2 people working the register and they wouldn't even look at me until their line of customers were gone). I went to go pick out new blackberries and inspected much more closely this time and I could not find one without mold. (There were only 6 or so left so I assume they had been left out for a while). I should have learned my lesson, but went back this past week and find that one of the yogurts I bought is moldy; this one is 2 days away from its expiration date. I'm led to believe that no one is checking the product (when it comes to produce) and poor product handling, whether it's by the manufacturers Aldi chooses, Aldi transportation or the store employees; it's unacceptable. read more

Aldi is a hidden gem, I almost don't want to say too much because I love that not a lot of people shop here. No, you cant get *everything*, but you can get a LOT, and probably all that you need for a great deal cheaper than other stores. Not totally thrilled about this place. I went in looking for specific things and wasn't able to find anything, so I looked at the meat and it seemed overpriced, compared to other stores in the area and I didn't really care for some of the brands. I would go back again, if I needed to, but I'd have to looking for something very specific that only they carry. read more

Ok no brand names but... That's what is awesome about this Aldi. They have organic products for much less of a price compared to other large grocery stores. I also like the size of this store, not huge and overwhelming like most grocery stores. Definitely check out this small store. read more

My husband was very excited about going to Aldi ; he lived in Germany and he used to go grocery shopping to Aldi. We felt almost violated by the terrible customer service.
