Family owned and run Local Business! Eastside Mart is a fixture in our neighborhood. They over a wide variety on convenience store classics such as coffee, muffins, sandwiches and ice cream etc. On holidays, and anyday, you can find that one thing you forgot to buy. Thanksgiving they stock up on turkey trimmings, cranberry sauce and anything you might need! Sometimes I wish Eastside Mart didn't exist. These guys will deliver Ben and Jerry's ice cream to your house. Your house! Have you ever had a breakup and wished someone would just make an entire pint of cookie dough ice cream appear before you so you could eat your feelings? That is precisely what Eastside Mart is for. Through Yelp and Grubhub, you can order ice cream, as well as snacks, household supplies (need an emergency TP roll or six? They got you) and beverages. No alcohol, though... this isn't Massachusetts, folks. This corner store is located over by Elmgrove Street, just a few blocks from Blackstone Boulevard, so I guess if you really wanted to, you could grab a bottle of water and go for a run, but that's clearly not what the rest of us are doing. The kids working the counter were wicked friendly and helpful. Awesome selection of drinks and snacks and the cooler was legit ice cold. Solid layout of the store and they even had baked items from a local restaurant. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. This is my new go-to for convenience stores. Thank you! read more

This is the easy choice in this neighborhood. It's prices are higher than Whole Foods or eastside market. But somehow, no matter what I need last minute, they've got it. Limes? Yup. Bananas? Yup. This place is a life saver. It's like someone put this here after having to drive all the way to east side market one too many times, for milk or a bag of ice. This place has everything you would ever need. Milk, bread, eggs, sugar, donuts, skittles, you name it! And it's open on Thanksgiving! I needed a can of sweetened condensed milk for my macaroons and They had it! It was $4 but they had it! They also had anything and everything you would ever need for thanksgiving! From fresh sage, to butter and pumpkin purée to whole turkeys and ground nutmeg... if you forgot it, they probably have it! read more

Thank God for Eastside Mart! This family-run establishment has everything that you need. If they don't have it, Paul the owner, will make sure that they get it in for you. I pick up my veggie box here every week. (Veggie box is through Farm Fresh RI, and support local farms. This mart is one of the few public drop off spots for the veggie boxes.) Paul offers the best coffee deal around - a large iced coffee for 1.75 - but it's only 1.25 if you bring your own cup! He also offers a huge discount for hot coffees as well. East Side Mart has it all: gelato, dels, toilet paper, brownie mix, ziplock bags, ping pong balls, birthday cards, birthday candles, farm fresh cage free local eggs, almond milk, lactaid milk, candy, snacks, every drink you can imagine, as well as daily pastries, breads and sandwiches made fresh from the Wayland Bakery. There is a lot of awesome packed into this little store. Ice cream Local and dairy-free treats Dels lemonade Organic milk K-cups Iced coffee Polar seltzer Basically I could live here and be happy. Plus the people are super nice (family runs it) and it's easy to park if you can't walk. Obviously it's not stop and shop so things are above-average price. But I'm fine with that because of the aforementioned local connection and incredible convenience. read more

When I moved a little further north of Wayland Square, I wanted a shorter walk to grab a Sunday paper and discovered this little gem. Have a food fights iced coffee coupon which brought me into this location. The cashier immediately welcomed me, brought me over to where they have the cups with ice already in them; they had all different amounts of ice based on your preference, sounds silly but I thought that was a great idea. She then showed me where the coffee was in the fridge, they serve Green Mountain coffee and only have one flavor but lucky for me it was my favorite flavor, Island Coconut. I was in and out of the market so quickly it was a great pit stop on my way to work! read more

Eastside was a blessing!! Sick in a hotel and needed saltines for an upset tummy and just like that, they were at the door!

At first it seems like the usual, run of the mill neighborhood corner mart but the Eastside Mart is more than meets the eye. They have soft serve ice cream, Dell's Lemonade on the weekends, along with all of your usual convenience store needs (beverages, snacks, etc). The staff are friendly and helpful. They are very conveniently located from the Wayland Square area (aka around the corner from where I live) so it makes a great place to stop when you need to pick up one of the essentials (cherry coke and a bag of chips, anyone?). read more

I stopped in on my way to the DMV because I desperately needed a coffee. I didn't really have time to stop at a coffee shop, so I figured I'd grab something quick from the refrigerated section. As soon as I walked in, the owner, Paul, asked me if I needed any help finding anything. He told me they had Green Mountain iced coffee, showed me where the cups with ice and the coffee were, and even offered me a coffee punch-card for my next visits. The coffee was delicious! And Paul was extremely friendly and helpful- exactly what I needed before a trip to the DMV. I will absolutely go out of my way to get coffee (and other snacks!) here from now on!
