Oh my! This was my first visit to this lovely cafe and I can't wait to go back. My friend and I…read morevisited for dessert after having dinner nearby, and the pastry case was full of delctable treats, even though it was the end of the day. It was hard to make a decision, but I went with a croissant stuffed with chocolate, fresh strawberries and whipped cream, while my friend went with the Chocolate Mousse Santiago tart. Let me just say, that both were rich, high quality, perfectly prepared, and amazing. I really don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here. I wasn't in the mood for coffee, but my friend enjoyed a nice cup of hot tea. At first I thought the prices were a little high, but after I considered the high quality of the ingredients anad the generous sizing, I think their prices are right on target. The cafe eating area is spacious and is perfect for conversations or quiet work. The entire cafe is super clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!

They have a nice selection of all types of Japanese food, including refrigerated, frozen, and shelf staples. Lots of candy and snacks too, as well as toiletry items. We were there towards the end of the day, so must of the sushi was sold out, but the items remaining in the refrigerated case looked fresh and delicious. Prices were fair for all of the items we looked at, and felt lower to us than other similar markets we've visited. Although I think that the Asian Market off of Elmwood might have lower prices on some items. In addition to the market, there is also a counter where you can order hot foods to eat there or take to go. There is a nice seating area with chairs & tables, and there is also a counter with chairs next to the window. We'll be back earlier in the day next time to see the full selection of sushi.

From soft drinks, green tea, iced coffee in a can, Japanese pickles, frozen fish and delicacies, etc. The way food isle is arranged, I think, is also very "Japanese" in an authentic way, as if I am back in Japan. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, even though I personally do not need help in translating the Japanese labels to English, whenever my wife goes there, everyone is very helpful. She works only a few blocks away in Downcity, so going there to shop or eat is super easy. She does not have to find parking there when she can simply walk there. We often go there to have our favorite - katsudon and gyudon. She loves these donnuri dishes. I showed her how to make them at home, as they are super simple to make.

Super flaky and a lot of delicious flavor from the filling and garnishes. It was very busy when I stopped by midday. They were out of some items already (I missed out on trying the French onion croissant before they replaced it with another menu item). I did find a spot to sit outside but I can see it being even harder to find a seat during peak times. It's a bit off the beaten path yet it's known and popular for a reason. I'm looking forward to visiting again and trying more items and of course the coffee!

I was sold as soon as I read their menu and saw that they had a Halva latte. This is one of my favorites and I can only get it at cafes near Boston. If you haven't had it, it's a must try. Halva is a sweet confection that is sesame based. Brown Bee definitely delivered on this one. I hope it stays on the menu! My wife had a pistachio latte that is made with homemade pistachio syrup. It was 10/10. We didn't plan on eating, but we did end up getting one of their cinnamon rolls with a homemade cream cheese frosting. It was fantastic! They have plenty of seating and although we waited inline, there were several seats available and we got to enjoy our drinks and cinnamon roll. This place is worth the wait in line. We will be going back again this weekend. I want to try the everything croissant with cream cheese baked inside! We may also try one of their breakfast sandwiches. My only recommendation is that they add little chalk boards for each of the croissants with what they are as they had to keep telling everyone what each one was. Still a 10/10.

There in the States not so much. This place has a lot of great options, lots of indoor seating, a couple of options to sit outside if the weather is good, ready to order on a tablet or with a person, fact service and quality of everything was great. Just don't get a dessert style coffee like a chocolate strawberry frappe like I said after ordering a bowl and a Dubai crepe. That dessert coffee was overkill. Get it if it's the only thing you are getting , otherwise it's too much. Definitely a place i want to go back to.
