Trader Joe's is an absolute bloodbath in the best way possible. The parking lot is a total shit show, and the store inside is packed wall-to-wall with people navigating carts like it's bumper cars. You will question your sanity at least twice before you even get through the front doors. That being said... the food choices are just too good. They have incredible snacks, unique frozen items, and those cotton candy grapes are legitimately elite--sweet enough to make you completely forget about the stress of getting here. It's crowded, it's chaotic, and finding a spot is a full contact sport, but the food is so solid that I'll keep braving the madness anyway read more

This area can suck driving to due to high traffic since It's on the main road to everything. Therefore, may have to potentially drive down the aisles for parking on a weekend since there are other shops around. Clean and well stocked and they get you in and out of the line fairly quickly even if it does get busy. I come here for their offerings on frozen foods, candy and snack options. Some of my faves are the Asian specific things like frozen gyoza, Korean scallion pancakes and mochi ice creams. Perfect place to shop for "Girl Dinner" items lol. They also have unique candy and chocolates. I accidentally bought a caramel flavored white chocolate bar (which I was disappointed at first since I don't like white chocolate) and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. They have niche selections which satisfy my big back cravings. Many of their selections go viral on tiktok and the things I've tried were worth it. read more

I have found Trader Joe's the be reliably the best source for organic food items from fresh produce to dairy, at the lowest prices. A quick and easy stop. I also buy other ogranic items such as nuts and dried fruits as well as flour and sugar. Their turkey products are not as available as previously (I used those turkey cutlets all the time!) but they have plenty of chicken and beef. The cheese section is very good. Grind your coffee beans in house if you like. A nice tea selection. A few health and beauty items. Season items like fried onions for holiday cooking. Shared parking lot sometimes gets filled closest to the store front as there are several other businesses using that space. Shopping carts are stored outside by the door. I'm a little behind the times as I made my first trek to Trader Joe's. It's a nice change of pace store. Not really any brands, and its a no thrills place, just basic items. For a change of pace, its not a bad thing. The asides are bigger and are slightly slanted and store is clean and simple. Now I would say it's a step above Aldis, but slightly more expensive. All that said, this store has a terrible parking situation. Small, shared lot, and the light is long and tends to back traffic up. They really could benefit from moving across the street to old Price Right where the parking is much more ample, and there's more space for traffic to back up. They could even add a little space if they did that. read more

This Trader Joe's is on the smaller side, but as per usual they really pack it in with tasty things. I always love the flower selection and generally cannot leave without picking something up. I can imagine that this place gets slammed over the weekend, so I try to head in at off times when I can. I also really like the meat section here and usually go for the lamb chops or ribeyes. I am also a suck for all there tasty treats and unique items. The good thing about Trader Joe's is if you've been to one, you've been to them all. Some might be a tough bigger/smaller, but overall you can find the same great products and friendly staff. The only bummer is when they carry something seasonally, you fall in love, and then it is never to be seen again. read more

Also, there is a big parking lot. Trader Joe's is in a strip of businesses like Aspen Dental, Smashburger, AT&T Store, Duluth Trading Company, FedEx, and many more. Staff are always friendly and ask if you found everything you needed. I always bring my own recycle bags and they help you pack the products in your bag. read more

This my go-to grocery shopping spot! I drive by Stop and Shop, Dave's, Market Basket, Aldi's, BJ's, Walmart, and other stores just to come here. I love knowing the meat is all natural with no antibiotics ever, no hormones ever, and grass fed. They take pride in their produce, and their boxed items contain no artificial dyes or harmful preservatives. When you shop here, you feel like family. The employees go out of their way to engage in friendly chat and help you out with finding specific items. They are always smiling and seem to genuinely love their job. The thoughtful flower and food displays make it look warm and inviting. I love the relaxed atmosphere. I will shop here forever. Had fun on our 35th Wedding Anniversary shopping at this supermarket. Just moved here. It was our first time visiting TJ's in RI. Tried the pulled pork recipe with TJ's BBQ sauce. It was delicious! The vendor was very kind and on our way out, Mary and I discovered that we were given a free small seasonal bouquet of flowers from the vendor. I get in-trouble because there is always something new to tempt me. Fresh flowers are priced at wholesale and fresh and interesting.

I love Trader Joe's. Mainly because you find many delectable foods that you can't find anywhere else. And the prices! Yes!! Their flowers and produce are great and probably half the price of other markets. Since the Rhode Island Trader Joe's does not sell alcohol, I decided to take the drive to Foxborough to see what the hype was about as far as their wine selection. Wow I was very impressed. Their wine selection was very expensive and the price points were amazing. I ended up spending $40 on food in $60 on wine lol and that was walking away with eight bottles of very nice wine. I go for taste and not for hype. Another reason why I drove to the Massachusetts location is because the Rhode Island location is always sold out of the corn and cheese Arepas, mozzarella cheese in between two corn griddle cakes. I add a slice of prosciutto inside and omg.. it's so good!!!!!! The cakes are nice and crispy and the ham and cheese make it something worth driving for. I'll add pics of the wine later. Love the super friendly employees throughout the store! Don't love the crowds on the weekends and the people who take up the whole aisle and won't move when you say "excuse me." I was able to find my 2nd favorite cookie butter and I think the red label one is out of stock everywhere. Nice layout of the store and will definitely avoid coming here on the weekends though unless I'm in dire need of cookie butter lol. read more

I have no idea why I waited so long to finally shop at a TJs!! I've really been missing out!! I had a completely different idea of what the store was like so when I stopped in to check it out I was very pleasantly surprised :) my "few things" turned into a full cart lol. I loved all the fresh flower bouquets when you walk in and everything was so neatly placed in every "department". Very clean store and super friendly staff. Definitely overwhelming when you've never been there and the store is really busy so I felt like I might have missed a few things. Every product from prepared salad and sandwiches to candy and chocolate was A+. The prices were much better then I had assumed which was a plus also. I just loved all the unique items, and eye catching packaging on everything. I also love that they don't use artificial coloring in anything considering I'm deathly allergic to food dye. I love going to TJ's to see the new items and pick up some gluten free items. We have a wheat allergy in the house so we have a couple of GF items from TJ's that have turned into staples. The parking lot I will admit- I hate. Now that Price Rite is gone I wish they would move in across the street. The store is hit or miss with it being a zoo. I have not been able to find a good time yet- I have gone in the am, mid day and at night still a zoo. The store is always clean, bright and being restocked by staff. All the cashiers are nice and strike up minimal conversation about what you're purchasing. Prices are better than the grocery stores around. read more

Trader Joe's knows how to provide the best service. For some reason today was swamped. Just loads of people with full carts. Suddenly, 4 or 5 employees come out to help ring everyone out. No other grocery store is this efficient. It's clean and has great quality products. The prices are actually competitive as well. A gallon of organic milk is about $6.50. It's over $7 at stop and shop. But let's face it, you don't get the quality of service like Trader Joe's. read more

I have been a long time Trader Joe's shopper. Although conveniently located, the staff is friendly, and the store itself is very spacious, the food/product selection is not great. The downtown Providence location carries a lot more of the the icon Trader Joe's items, so driving the extra 15-20 minutes is a worth it. read more

I've been a Trader Joe's enthusiast for years (participating in the FB TJ's Enthusiasts page) and this is the only one in Rhode Island. It opened up shortly after we moved here from Cali over 10 years ago and immediately made me feel more at home. Their international specialty products (fresh baked bread, produce, frozen food, coffee, etc) are very wholesome and high quality, but reasonably priced (unlike Whole Foods). I love their incredibly delicious loaf of French broiche, which is only $3.99. Their Spiced Chai, Just the Clusters Maple Pecan Granola Cereal, gourmet coffee from Africa and South America, unique blend of spices, and Ultra Chocolate Ice Cream are amazing!! They even have Garlic Sauce, which tastes exactly like authentic Lebanese toum, in the refrigerated section; this is the perfect for dipping sauce for kabobs or condiment for sandwiches. Every enthusiast has his/her own favorites. Some items are sadly seasonal. Huge parking lot. Less crowded in the daytime while most people are at work. Trader Joe's is the place to be if you're looking for gourmet, high quality international products and food items at reasonable prices. read more

Love Trader Joe's! They do EVERYTHING right. Yes, there is sometimes a line to get in due to COVID regulations but it is so worth it. Love the cauliflower rice and all the prepackaged salads. Their russet potato chips are OUT OF THIS WORLD. They are well done yet light and crispy - NOT like some of the others that you could literally break a tooth while chewing. This is a great location. Like Kathy H said; "We love Trader Joe's". Well I can't to go back to Hawaii without anything labeled Trader Joe's or else it's my head. The location is easy with the big signs leading the way and parking is a breeze with plenty of it at the shopping strip. They just happen to be between Smashburger and Duluth's Trading Post. I know you read both reviews. It's a nautical theme and the layout is close to what I'm use too at all the other ones. This Joe's in particular has a smaller candy aisle compared to the others. There's the beautiful floral area at the very front of the store, fresh produce, meat and deli section, pet and personal hygiene rows and snacks all over the place. I don't remember an alcohol section and if there is one it's small. Overall four stars. Come on it's Trader Joe's. What's not to love? No fifth star because I couldn't find their crab and apparently if someone finds it they can hide it anyway. Bet you they took it home. Now excuse me, time for a shake. Oooh there's Smashburger. A very nice, fully stocked TJ's with a friendly and helpful staff. There were plenty of fall special items available, including advent calendars for December, which can be hard to find. There were also a boxed set of chocolate turkeys and a gingerbread turkey centerpiece kit for Thanksgiving. There were two sample stations, one offering smoked gouda and crackers and the other passing out samples of baked ham and cauliflower stuffing. Clean bathrooms, and an efficient and friendly check out. What more could you want? read more

We've come by many times, but it was a stop on a holiday Monday that was quite the treasure with huge inventory, we saw many things that were fully stocked up where usually we rarely find everything on our lists. After living in Hawaii where we had no TJs, I was beyond thrilled to find this TJs in such a relatively close distance to me. The location is easy to get to, but parking is a nightmare. Inside it's super clean, people are friendly, and everything is well organized. Pros: If you call ahead, they will set aside up to two packages per person of the cauliflower gnocchi which sells out so fast, they can't even put them out in the mornings. The checkers are so nice, they have twice now remembered me specifically even though I only come in about once a month. Impressive! They stock Racine, Wisconsin's only saving grace, the Almond Kringle. It is about a million calories per serving but you will die happy. Cons: People love this place and it's always packed. Parking, as mentioned before, is a hot disaster, and I've had multiple near misses in the lot when people were snaking spots or being generally foolish. Overall, seriously, what is even comparable to TJs?! You know you're going to go here, just do it. Call ahead tho and nab some tots- you'll be glad you did. read more

I've been going to Trader Joe's since I was a youngling in California. It has been since owned and operated by Aldi Inc. For the uninitiated, first thing you will notice is a very Gillian's Island theme of the whole place. You will find almost 90% Trader Joe's branded goods, which in my opinion is of good quality. Big attractions here are the Coffees, trail mixes, and bakery goods. Due to current RI liquor laws, what you won't find is Trader Joe's famed "Two-Buck Chuck" wines. They used to have store treasure hunts for the kids, not sure they still do that. There is also a demo station in the back of the store for free tastings and coffee. Lots of healthy options for an bargain (Think Whole Foods meets Aldi). The staff is always friendly and helpful. Occasionally you will here the ding of a bell and cheers. read more
