Been shopping here since they opened and find them to have competitily low prices on all products. Many items are their own brand along side national brands. Eggs, dairy, meats are all less here. Quity canned goods and produce. They offer weekly sales on a variety of home goods and sell seasonal items. We definitely save money shopping at Aldi's. Private lot, bring a quarter to access the shopping carts (you get it back when the cart is returned) one or two manned check-out lines and several self check-out kiosks. Oh Aldi, how I love you BUT I always forget a quarter. So I've been here a handful of times to this location and I usually get lucky and someone will just give me their carriage when I forget my quarter, but this time I went in and asked if I could borrow a quarter which online it said you can do, and the cashier was so nice and I promised I would give the quarter back, which indeed I did and they seemed shocked. But any-who, this location is always very nicely stocked and I seem to find an employee on the floor whenever I need one whenever I have a question, which excites me. My sister is the one who put me on to Aldi, the prices are amazing and am able to stretch the money I have and get quality items, which makes me happy in this economy right now. They do charge for bags but I bring my own, so that's never an issue. I just hate having to bag my stuff since I do a full shop here but that's okay. The food items are of good quality, and they taste great. Honestly every since I started coming here I don't go to the other markets. This location does get packed really easily, but they open lines very quickly. As soon as they see lines starting to grow, they open registers and the employee scan very rapidly, it seems like a race and I am shocked at how quickly they scan and get you In and out. The atmosphere here is not bad, can get a hit chaotic but for the most part everyone is nice and courteous. Give this Aldi's a go it's a nice size as well and the produce always seems fresh! read more

One of the cleanest friendliest places I've ever shopped at the shelves of 95% stocked all the time if it's a really good deal like today's strawberries were $2.49 and they had probably about 20 packages left but the sale just started yesterday so to me that says a lot about food Store. All customer service people are friendly kind helpful the freshest products on the market you very really give ever see anything on reduced at all. They carry big products like the fair life, milk or milk they carry those they carry regular store brand stuff. Most of the price are a store branddeals they can take and get the best price to you, but they definitely have nothing but fresh product and everything is just wonderful. To address some of the previous reviews, this place is what it is. It isn't marketed as a highend, name brand discount market. For what it is it's cute and well managed. I have to admit, I have driven by here thousands of times and never knew what this place was. I finally stopped in on Sunday at 3pm to check it out, several weeks after a co-worker mentioned she had shopped here. Things to note: first, the carriages are all locked together at the front entrance. A quarter (.25 cents) will set one free for your use; second, bring your own bags (they charge .6 cents each); third, they do not carry a lot of "name brand" products, if any; and finally, it's cheap, real cheap. I wasn't sure what to expect. The store is bright and clean, and items are in good condition and neatly stocked. It is nicer than a job lot, and I'll dare to say, some Walmarts. Aldis carries dry food, refrigerated and freezer foods, as well as produce. They also carry candy and some random household items. I stopped in on a whim, and I wasn't sure what I'd find, so I did not use/pay for a carriage. (This is acceptable). I spent $7.49 and left with a .6 cent bag full of groceries.(I posted my receipt, so you can check the prices for yourself. I also posted the weekly flyer). The cashier was pleasant and the clientele was decent. This store is located in the Cowesett section of Warwick, on the West Warwick line, and off Route 2 (Bald Hill Road). It is a very nice area. While I wouldn't be doing my weekly grocery shopping here (because of distance and products) I am happy with my purchases and would definitely recommend stopping in. I am an avid ALDI shopper. I've gone to this location a handful of times and continue to notice things are not marked. I always see that the where the refrigerated dips/gourmet cheeses case there are new items in there...NOT marked. So I don't buy them. Today I saw there were rug runners...not marked...this is my only pet peeve with them. I do wish the ALDI were remodeled and larger though so they could carry more items. This location has been doing a great job during COVID sanitizing and making sure no more than 40 ppl are in the store at one time. With any ALDI, you have to get there in the AM to get the good deals or else things are sold out or picked over. read more

I can see where some folks could be turned off by the mixed bag of items that you find at this warehouse-style shopping set-up. I had to admit that the first time here my impression was "eh". I did return to grab an electronic scale (yes it IS primarly a grocery)that I saw advertised for a steal in their Sunday flyer. I picked up the scale and took some time to look around. What I found on the plus side was: *No-hormone added milk for less than $3 /gallon *Store-brand bite size shredded wheat of the strawberry-flavored sort that is only $2 a box that my kids dig *A rockin' store-brand roasted red pepper hummus that is half the price than the other supermarkets. *An odd melee of appliances and other random house stuff that provides an interesting bargain hunt *Some name brand items on the cheap (Lifeway Kefir & Fage greek yogurt) *Their store-brand stuff is GREAT! Not the typical generic taste... Negatives: Some of their items do vary. * The rice crackers I love are being clearanced out (great price, but sad to see them go) * I still haven't seen the sliced bleu cheese that I loved for my grilled rare burgers last summer (sigh) The meats are not the best. I still get mine up the street at Dave's Market Their produce is inconsistent. Great prices always but quality not so much always. This market is a great place to go to fill the cart with things before you go the other market. Inconvenient...? Maybe a tad. But I literally filled my cart for under $36 earlier today...including 3 gallons of milk and some great looking produce and veggies. I think that there are great values to be had and I will continue to save my hard-earned cash by getting my staples here. I have loved and valued the Aldi store in my area which is located exactly opposite Stop and Shop. Until recently, I rarely shopped anywhere but Aldi unless the product I needed was not available in an Aldi store. So why have I returned to Stop and Shop? The answer is because many of the Aldi prices have risen above those at Stop and Shop: Avocados are now 1.99 each, but only 1.69 at S & S; Bananas are 44cents/lb, but only .39 cents/lb @ S & S and there one can select 2 ripe bananas and 3 green needed for the week; Spaghetti squash/acorn squash/butternut squash 1.49 on sale at Aldi, but only 1.29 on sale @ Stop & Shop, 3 hearts of romaine are now 2.99 per package and Stop and Shop often has buy one package for 3.99 and get one package free (6 hearts), and this list goes on... I am thoroughly disappointed in the price change, and also with the number of times that I have gone there when there is minimal inventory and have been told, "The truck did not come in." For the majority of time that Aldi has been located in my area, I would have given it at least a 4-star rating, but currently, it is quite clear that improvement is necessary. read more

Let me preface by I'll be back to this one since it is the closest to my house and I just moved. The building was clean, and relatively organized, which I did like. The parking lot is a little awkward, but whatever to that. That all being said, I hate to name call, but the few employees I made eye contact with or I overheard working or dealt with, were dumb. I used to shop here more often, but then fell into the habit of shopping at Shaw's in Cranston since I get their circular. But, I got tired of spending $100-$110 each trip! So I tried Walmart, figuring they'd be cheaper, but, no, still went over $100. Then I remembered Aldi's, so I went back last weekend. Admittedly, I didn't get as many items as I normally get (no cleaning products, for instance), but I was jazzed when my total came to just $56! I believe that my order would have been probably $80 to $90 at Shaw's or Stop & Shop ... and Dave's, well, I don't even want to think about what it would've cost there. So, they don't sell many name-brand items, which limits choices and may offend some picky eaters (like my 18-year-old stepson). The store is smaller and has the basics, but on the plus side, that means you can get your shopping done a lot faster since you are not walking around a huge store. Although there are only a few checkout lines here, they move way faster here, since you bag your own groceries after checking out (hey, at the big chain stores, I often end up bagging my own stuff anyway, so what the heck). One downside is that they have no service deli (but I'm getting tired of deli meat for my lunches anyway, plus deli meat is usually expensive). They have a limited selection of meats, but their meat seems to be wrapped better than the chain stores. I've had a number of their store brand frozen foods and they're decent. In short, this is a no-frills store, both in appearance and a limited staff, but I'll deal with those limitations in exchange for saving money. I really do need to shop here more often! read more

Here's why I always shop at Aldi's FIRST: 1- BIG savings compared to Shaw's, Stop & Shop, and even Walmart. 2- It's QUICK in and out. Shopping in the other stores is a project and I don't have time for that. 3- Milk and eggs are the cheapest anywhere! 4- I do lots of charcuterie boards and they can get pricy. Aldi's has a good selection of cheeses, herbed olives, and condiments in small sizes at affordable prices. 5- Love what I call the "Surprise Me" aisle where I can score intriguing items that are great quality and SO inexpensive, it qualifies as bargain heaven! read more

Very focused product line that is not flashy on the wrapper, but great quality and cost. The store is laid out very nicely and organized well. You may not find everything you want, but they have most standard items. They also have stuff that might surprise you. One of the great things is being an international company from Europe, you get some of the actual items that they do use in Europe without having to pay 'speciality' prices. read more

I don't get it. This place is a random warehouse like marketplace. There is no rhyme or reason to what you will find.If you are shopping on a budget...for a family...with particular tastes...be prepared to have to go next door to stop and shop when you are finished at Aldi's because the items are so random you may or may not find items to meet the needs of your family. Don't expect any frills in this store. If you like to be waited on this is place is not for you. Many of the reasons I shop here are based off of the economics of having children at home. The prices can't be beat. Aldoi has their own brand and I must say it isn't too bad. Occasionally you will find some name brand products as well. My kids enjoy having snack packs for their lunch boxes and I enjoy the money that I save when I am here. They do offer some produce but I steer clear of that. All in all the savings are about half of what I would spend at the neighborhood supermarket. Aldi is the best secret around I swear!! I went in here with my cousin not expecting much because I am used to name brands so I didn't think anything in here would thrill me. Boy was I wrong. I ended up buying a few thing, when I tried everything I couldn't believe how good it was. So I went back and did a decent grocery shopping and I was happy with everything. The prices are so low its unbelievable. They sell a deli style take and bake pizza for 6$ that is delicious. You would never know the difference between the top brands and Aldi's brands. You can save so much money by shopping here. The store is very clean, well stocked and the employees are always friendly. Don't be scared like I was to shop here, its a money saver!! read more

This particular store has gone way downhill. It used to be nice, and clean, and inexpensive. Lately every time I go in I find prices have gone up...for instance english muffins were 99cents, they upped to price to $1.29. The sucralose sweetner used to be 1.39, went up to 1.99! Not a bargain. Along with the raising of prices I find the place filthy. The last 3 times I have been there the produce is near rotten, no refrigeration, I bought freezer burned fish and fries which I had to throw away because they had clearly been thawed and refrozen. The floors and general cleanliness is just awful, and the bathroom is just as bad. It is an inconvenience for me to go to another Aldi store but I find the rest of them are so clean! I have been to 5 different Aldi locations and this is by far my favorite. The cashiers are friendly and helpful. The selection of food is great and you can't beat the price of most of the items. Milk, eggs, cheese, organic foods and bread are my go-to items in this store. My only complaint is I wish the produce (both selection and quality) were better. The produce section is very small and most of the time, the fruit and veggies don't last long and quickly mold. I love to check out their "Weekly Aldi Finds". Aldi is generally a good store to pick up needed groceries. If you're looking for produce and fruits, only shop on Sunday morning or forget about it. We used to shop almost exclusively at Aldi, except for meats, but have started shopping elsewhere again. On some weeknights when I make a stop before going home, the shelves are empty. I don't understand why they cannot supply more because clearly they need is there. I recall the place being fully stocked but perhaps now more people are shopping there. Who knows what happened?!? It seems they also freeze alot of stuff. With that said, I still shop there once a week and plan to continue. read more

You get what you pay for. You have to come here on a consistent basis and you have to be on the look out for goods. Their merchandise is always rotating so sometimes there will be some excellent finds and other times, you're like blah. My parents come here a lot and because of their regular visits, I've stopped by here a few times to pick up some cheap veggies to throw on the grill or some quick snacks for the road. If I had a family, I would come here more often because I do see a big difference in some key household grocery items like yogurt, milk, and eggs. read more

The place is in a nice area of town, and the shoppers were well dressed and courteous. I didn't feel like I was shopping in a bodega in the 'hood. Except that the bodega wouldn't charge me for a bag, require a deposit for a shopping cart, or refuse my Visa card. Also, they are somehow related to Trader Joe's. I enjoy some of TJ's foods though I certainly don't condone their employment practices, very visible to the shopping public. 25 years ago, I interviewed with these folks in Chicago. I think the only thing that's changed is they have scanners now. At the time, the cashiers had to memorize the price of everything. Ok, this was not the most prosperous year, so I thought I'd save a little, and try it out. Folks, this is why socialism is bad, despite what we may hear on TV. There were a multitude of canned veggies, chips/salsa, and prepared foods, but certain other things were scant and very expensive (3.68/lb for mushy grapes..... really)? I have ancestors from places that are now Lithuania and Belarus. Minus the Vodka (which I could've used), this is what I pictured there before the wall fell. OK, Spirit AIrlines applied to grocery shopping, the Affordable Care Act, whatever. I never had, and will never fly Spirit, regardless of the alternatives. If times are tight, I think you can do better at a warehouse club, or if shopping for 1 or 2 people, Target or even WalMart. You need to suck up your pride when you walk into Aldi and know that you're here for the savings rather than the brand names and top-dollar quality you traditionally find at the big name grocery stores. I must admit that most of the food items that we buy here are the same quality as major brand name foods that you would find at the regular grocery store. You can almost find any type of grocery item at Aldi; canned soup/veggies/fruit, greek yogurt, Romaine lettuce, block cheese, all assortment of snacks and frozen foods, cereal, bread...you can even buy cheap laundry detergent, soaps, shampoos, toothbrushes, trash bags, etc. All of these items are priced much lower than what you would find at the usual grocery store. We don't buy any of the produce because nothing looks fresh but other than that, we try to capitalize as much as possible on the savings. Bring your own bags to save yourself even more money. You can get a cart full of food and have not went wtf i spent a lot, I love that milk is cheaper here and you save more. This location is good but if you dont mind driving to cranston for the slightly bigger location. I like the idea of being able to sit at work and get payed 12 an hour. Aldi is a smaller niche type market. Everything they sell appears to be private label items. The prices are very good. They sell box goods, dairy, produce and meats. There is a large freezer section with all klinds of frozen meats and prepared foods. I go to Aldi for the frozen chicken breasts, they are a deal IMO and taste good. read more

There is no question that you can save big bucks at Aldis. I am truly amazed every time I go there with the price of various things and what they soak me for it them at the bigger markets. A small number of things sometimes are no real bargain, but the vast majority are. And, I have never had anything here that doesn't taste top quality. I mean even regular staple items like mayo, ketchup, peanut butter are exceptionally good. Hardly anything here is name brand, or ones you would recognize. Aldis has their own brand of just about everything, and, other ones you have never heard of. As for the downisides, if you are one of those snobs that insist on getting screwed with the price of name brand items, stay away and leave the savings to us. Also, the meat department is very lacking at Aldis. Hardly ever do they have any beef, as in steak, or roasts. Just hamburger.
