I usually enjoy a jaunt to the Coventry Walmart and the experience is acceptable. This past week, on two different occasions, it was rather upsetting. After purchasing a watch in the jewelry department, it was necessary to have links removed, but no one was available to do that work as the assigned person had just gone to dinner. A few days later, I returned to have the links removed, and there was once again no one at this department. I walked to nearby departments and spoke with a very pleasant individual who indicated she could do that. And, with great effort, after a bit of time, she was successful. I returned home only to find that the watch was not working, so I returned that same day and once again, no one was at the jewelry counter and 2 other customers had been waiting long enough for them to be upset. They had already notified the front end managers, which I also did. After about 15 minutes, a very helpful and kind salesperson arrived and replaced the battery at no charge. The reason for the two stars is that obviously Walmart is not hiring enough people to cover this department so that customers can receive full service. read more

Clean, fairly new and large walmart with groceries. Employees were relatively friendly and store was pretty organized and we'll kept. Can't say much more.... It's walmart! read more

Have no problems really with the store, the people though are ignorant .. one guy brings his mutt in the store walking around the dog is trying to eat stuff off the shelf and before I hear from the snowflake brigade this was not a service dog .. where was the manager or store workers to confront this person and have the dog removed. read more

Needed tires for my car, so I went to have some installed at the tire center. Was told it would take 2 hours because I was third in line. Due to some unforeseen circumstances with the two cars in front of me, I was pushed up to the front! Decent tires for the price, staff kind of knew what they were talking about; but what can you expect from Walmart employees. Overall a decent experience. Just go at a weird hour if you want a shorter wait. Again, this is a Walmart tire center, not a tire store. read more

I'm giving you one star for one reason so maybe you'll notice this review. Shopping baskets? Anyone? Are they hidden in the ceiling? I wasted 10 minutes walking around your store just now not being able to find a single one. Completely ridiculous. Do you not have them? I have never been to your store where I required a shopping cart. I always only get 2-10 small items. Why would I get a carriage? I don't want a carriage but sometimes a basket would be handy so that I don't have to strain my arms carrying my items around your store. PLEASE INVEST IN SHOPPING BASKETS. And PLEASE, have them at each entrance. I may have purchased more items but my arms hurt so much I left. Trust me your patrons will appreciate it :) read more

I stop by because the weather was nice and was going to the beach. I found some beach chairs on sale. So I ask this lady where the beach towels maybe. She laughed and said they were long gone. A simple we no longer have any would have been better then the laugh and rude sounding remark. read more

I buy American made products to support the working people. The froz fish is labeled as USA Product, but it isn't. The sticker is removable and it states "Caught in China" under the label. I am disappointed. read more

Third time going to the tire service at this location. I didn't need a big job done, just one wheel balanced. I was told to try it out unfortunately I won't be able to. Every time I go there (now the third time) there is a obnoxious long wait. The first two times I was told just to get me in would be a two hour wait. This time today was an hour and a half! I guess they don't have time for the little jobs... If you don't mind waiting around all day go here if you want quick service this is not your place. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

This is one of the better stores in the area since they have a full blown grocery center and the prices are dirt cheap, and the quality is surprisingly good! The inside is nice and clean and very well organized. read more

Not an avid walmart shopper. I much prefer target. The cashier was kind of miserable, which working at walmart or not, if you work in the customer service industry you should be pleasant. Went to pick up a couple things, but always end up leaving with more than I needed. The one thing I wanted from there was totally picked over and very little selection. Walmart is good for when u need something in the middle of the night, or cheap socks. That's about it. read more

Ok it's a walmart. It is definitely better than the one at the ri mall.... But still not that great. Customer service is hit or miss, they NEVER have enough registers open, and who ever is in charge of stocking the merchandise does a horrible job. I'm sorry but I've gone in there every week over the past month and the one thing I want has not been in stock. Also if you stop to look at something for more than like 2 mins, an employee starts following you around. Seriously? Not to mention half the people that shop there are rude and apparently don't know that in ri it's a state law that you have to STOP, not roll for a person in a crosswalk. It's okay not enough employees at the registers. Employees are nice. I'm just not a fan of the store. They don't keep up enough with stocking the shelves. Hard to find employees to help when you need to find something. Fruits go bad fast once you bring them home. To crowded at times. Just disappointed with the store. They keep nothing worth buying in the reduced isles. I don't like the road leading there and back no one knows what lane to be in. It's a mess! read more

Tire Center is a hot mess. Go elsewhere. I called after researching their tires at my mechanic's suggestion. The pleasant lady I spoke to told me that they don't take appointments over the phone, but if I cared to come in, I might catch an opening; at the very least, I could schedule an appointment in person. I asked if there was any pattern to how busy they tend to be and was told that the closer the weekend, the busier they get. This center is out of my way, and I work two jobs- one of which requires a long commute- so getting there requires juggling my schedule. I risked dropping in on a Monday after work only to be told that they were "fully booked" (despite the fact that all of the bays were empty and there were four technicians lounging behind the counter). Whatever... I scheduled an appointment for three days later. I rearranged my schedule and commute, got there a half an hour before my appointed time. This time there were only three techs lounging around but, again, all the bays were vacant. The service manager told me that he had tried to call me (a later check of my home voicemail confirmed 3 hour notice) to reschedule because they were "shorthanded". I was polite, but clearly unhappy with this development. All four employees were looking at me like "what's the big deal? What's your problem?" I mentioned that I spend 2.5 hours commuting daily (usually mass transit) and that to have to drive another half hour to this store was a nuisance. I put in 11-12 hour work days that start with a 4:30 am wake up. If I'm lucky, I get home at 5:30 pm. And I have a part time job on weekends. Needless to say, my free time is limited. I got a shrug in response. Since it was apparent none of them particularly cared enough to accommodate me, I scheduled an appointment for the following week. On my way out the door, one of the techs shouted a snarky "Have a NICE DAY!" It's obvious that their employees don't value the business enough to at least keep his nasty opinion to himself until the customer leaves, so I'm going elsewhere. Firestone is right down the street, as is BJs. Jennings is close by, Town Fair is too, and there's a Tire Warehouse within a reasonable distance. Tire Rack is online and has approved installers. Yeah, Walmart's prices are decent, but once you figure in all the add ons, the other tire places' prices are really comparable. At this point, I wouldn't trust Walmart's techs to install an air freshener in my car. I'm going to a business that values its customers and is organized and professional. read more

Nothing in stock. Forced to buy bigger quantities than I was shopping for because they were not restocked. This was 1/7 so no excuse.

The best Walmart are the super store ones. The other best part of the super stores is the fact that they are usually open 24 hrs, that makes it easier to shop. I stopped by here after going to a show. The place didn't creep me out going in late at night time. This store was very large, clean and everything in order. Best part was the self checkout, as I'm usually not very found of the checkout people Walmart hires. read more

I used to love coming here because it's 24 hours. Now I dread going in there. Someone who worked there accused me of stealing. They asked to see a receipt I complied obviously. They said they needed to check my purse which again I complied as I didn't steal anything. The guy pulled me into a room near the entrance where the pharmacy was and they pulled all my shopping bags apart to check the receipt and items which of course added up to be correct and just annoying. After a good 15 minutes wasted and feeling embarrassed I was able to go. The guy said "I saw you fidgeting with the front of your carriage" as if the guy never heard of texting??? It pissed me off and more than likely I will not be back unless I absolutely have no where else to go. I'd rather go spend the extra $2 on an item at target than go back to this shit hole. Also if you can even find a associate youre lucky and when you do they are not helpful at all theyre rude and act like you inconvenience them. They have no idea where anything is. last weekend i went to go get a phone case i saw online and when i got there, it was "out of stock". i asked an employee if they had it in the back but the employee said that "the only phone cases we have are out here". i just went back today to see that the phone case i was looking for was still out of stock. read more
