"Happy to help" is completely bogus. Terrible service, the worst. The padlocks are locked in a case and after numerous attempts pushing the button for help no help arrived. To make matters worse, there was a lady ahead of me who had already made several attempts herself. At one point an employee with a walky-talky called out for assistance but still no help arrived. Eventually I put down the items I already had and walked out. It's a very sad statement on society when regular every day items have to be locked behind glass because of low-life thievery. I like to come here early in the morning to beat the crowds. Great deals on clothing, athletic shoes, tasty pancake mix, jams, peanut butter, cereal, CFL bulbs, vegetable juice. Best deals seem to be where they sell large quantities or where there is fast turnover of inventory. Absent that, the prices surprisingly aren't that great. So beware when shopping here. No more shopping bags given here, so bring your own or just load up your cart and dump into the trunk of your car. read more

This was the worst walmart ive ever been too. It took 15 minutes just to get into the parking lot and park. Then when entering the store, it was dirty, disorganized, and very hard to move around in. There were things blocking the aisles and just made the shopping experience awful. The cashier I had was extremely rude and didn't even acknowledge me, tell me my total, or even thank you for shopping . Nothing. I will never return to this location. read more

I've been on the phone for over 30 minutes just trying to get somebody from the electronics department or customer service to pick up the phone to see if they have a camera in stock. It's pretty ridiculous that my friend was able to drive from Concord to San Leandro and still no answer. She walked up to the electronics area and the guy was just standing there doing nothing. She told them that the hesparian walmart down the street has this camera on clearance but they are sold out and if the could honor the price. They walked up to the manager and said they would not honor the price. If only they had just picked up the phone my friend and I would not have wasted our time driving all the way out there. I have seen some pretty bad Walmarts... but this is absolutely the WORST. The management should be embarrassed. The store is a mess and the employees are even worse. How is it possible that this Walmart location is still in business? It's like an out of control circus and a zoo mixed together and the employees are the mean, nasty, non caring attendants. I'm in town on business with approximately 100 employees. We all have fridges and microwaves in our rooms. Some of us came here to get groceries and other items. We actually left our carts in the isle and left due to the poor management and lack of organization as well as the awful customer service. Walmart accepts manufacturers coupons and it will be reimbursed by manufacturer (that's how coupons work!) Refuted that coupons DID scan but just needed employee to OK the transaction." ] BS : "You can only buy one item at a time." [BS! Refuted as coupon says four coupons per purchase per shopping trip. Key words "PER SHOPPING TRIP".] BS from asst mgr: "I work in accounting and we don't make any money from the free coupons." [BS! -- Refuted as there's a box for retailer to enter amount that they will be reimbursed.] Couldn't win the arguments, so went to a cashier line. Asst mgr eye-balled me the whole time and had two yellow vested employees come to my line and said to me: "We don't take free coupons because we don't make any money." I argued same as at the self-checkout and they repeat "It's store policy." [FYI, this location is always busy and packed, same with parking (especially on weekends). Returns are ok, shelves aren't too messy, and most items are in stock. I make hundreds of dollars in online purchases every year. I like their prices and ease of online buying. I also appreciate online customer service. They are very nice people. However, store employees need better training and better manners. I wish I could give this Walmart, their employees and it's clientele ZERO STARS. Let me tell you a couple stories about my experience at Walmart on Davis st. in San Leandro store #2648. One of the very first times I ever went to this specific location, I spotted a disgruntled black woman approaching me in a car from about 100 feet away as I was turning into a parking spot. Apparently, they didn't see that I had been waiting for the spot to park with my blinker on, long before they arrived and looked as though they believed I had taken it from them. In fact, I didn't steal the spot as I was patiently waiting for the person to leave the space before they even drove into the isle. Well guess what happened when I came back out. Some POS keyed my brand new Prius Plugin across the entire drivers side doors, both doors! It definitely happened between the time I left and came back which was only 10 mins!! Literally a month old car. If I saw who do it, I would have tackled them to the ground and had them arrested and charged with felony mischief. I can't believe the ignorance! It wasn't a small, "woops my pants rubbed your car" scratch. It was deep to the metal through 3 layers of blizzard pearl paint that is not easy to repair scratch. It reminds me of how much I dislike that store every time I get into my car, because I never had it repaired considering it would be thousands. So ya that was the first negative experience at Walmart on Davis st in San Leandro store #2648. You'd think I would never gotback, right?! Well when that heat wave hit a couple weeks ago, I called around town for who had a basic fan available. By the time I ended up calling Walmart I had already been to 10 other stores, so I didn't want to drive from Oakland to San Leandro unless there was a fan available. I called three times and was hung up on by three people. When I got to the store, after driving through traffic for 30 mins and 90 degree heat I got to the store and asked an employee in person. They pointed to the back. I checked and it was sold out completely and had been for the entire day! Walmart wasted 1 hour of my time that day just driving over there and has allowed it's customers to get away with thousands of dollars of damage to my vehicle. I've decided that because Walmart has terrible customer service at the only walmart I can shop at and it is NOT safe I will no longer shop their stores. I will instead use AMAZON services to accomplish my shopping. Store locations with terrible customer service do not deserve any stars on Yelp. You earn stars when you treat your most valuable asset with more respect, your customer. Send me a $1000 (one thousand dollars) cash or gift card and I'll consider editing this post to reflect your consideration for the damages caused to my vehicle and absorbance of time wasted. This is the most unprofessional get to dirty store. The Management staff the customer service department staff and the register staff. I was in the store today and spoke to 8 different people and was unable to get the help I needed. The staff is lazy and Not knowledgeable about the items they have in their store have the staff doesn't speak English. I really think that the entire spaff of that store needs to go through some form of employee training So that they can mine how to deal with customers in a respectful manner. Did an online pickup order. When I got there I was the 3rd in line. I took 30 minutes. The two people in front of me took 15 minutes each. Seems very disorganized. I will never ever shop at this Walmart ever again. I've have been shopping at this store since day one. I had the worst experience I've ever had at any Walmart today. 1st everything is locked up. It took 25 minutes to get someone to open the damn mouth wash cabinets, after already waiting 10 minutes to get someone to open the laundry soap cabinet. There were so many upset customers waiting it was ridiculous. I even called the store directly 3 times and we still had to wait. I don't know how renovations that are supposed to improve things wind up making things worse. Is this the Of customer service? The financial services used to be at the customer service center where they were open until 10 PM. Then they "improve things quote by making a separate finance center with more limited hours. I find this out the hard way last night when I tried to pick up money at 9:45 PM. Then today when they are open there's a line of people and one of the computers goes down. The only thing that's super about this center is there super disregard for customer service and the lack of keeping customers informed regarding their renovations that resulted in a loss of some customer services so that the under paid employees can stock the shelves and not answer the phone when it rings for five minutes. Then when they do answer, I tell them I want to speak to the manager and they hang up on me. It's unfortunate that marketing is resulted in this level of globalized disregard for individual service. Then it seems the employees find it a laughing matter when a disgruntled customer tries to speak up. This is my usual go to store to get things I need fast and quick, walmart have everything I mean everything you need mostly for your daily activities from clothes, food, bedding, beauty to even informercial products, and also they are cheap what more could you ask lol! My brother introduced me to a cookie butter spread that was so delicious but he told me that they only were available at trader joes, next thing you know I was walking down the peanut butter aisle and well well looky here walmart had it here as well! I have been coming here for years, but today was the last straw. I wait 45 mins in the bike section to try and get a bike unlocked so I could buy one. I call costumer service twice, and asked help for another employees, and they completely ignored me. Came here to Walmart because I was in the neighborhood, and I needed to buy tire chains, a cooler, eyedrops, and Midol for the wife. With that kind of shopping list Walmart was the only logical location. They had 2 kinds of coolers which were XXXL and medium, we wanted something larger but something that we could still fit into the car. We reluctantly bought the medium one. One of the tire chains broke while we were driving and that was a huge pain in the ass for multiple reasons including having to drive in snow and ice without traction which is never fun. I have vowed never to return to Tahoe with a 2 wheel drive vehicle again unless it is in the summertime. I really hate Walmart, I really hate the cheap crap they have at Walmart, and I think that it'll probably;y be another 5 years before I have to go back again. read more

Ok, so I had to come back to return something that I just bought yesterday. In my 1st review, I mentioned something about the mens restroom. Guess what? Exactly 24 hours later.............STILL NO PAPER TOWELS OR SOAP!!!!!!! I observed employees coming into the restroom, talking on cellphones, pissing and leaving without washing their hands and returning to the floor. Moving on to the return process, the employee, a older woman with prison tattos of peoples names written up and down her arms, failed to communicate in a efficent or friendly matter. I was standig infront if her at the counter, no words exchanged. All of a sudden she says "please sign". I see no paper infront of me to sign. I look at her. Shes looking away. I look left.
