I was wary about this based on the other reviews, but I notice that most of them have nothing to do with the pharmacy I needed a veterinary medication that I couldn't find elsewhere and ordered online. The online services (PetMeds and Koala) were awful. No responses after 4 days - they said they had to contact the vet, even though I had a paper prescription. RX was for a non-narcotic anti itch med with no human use, legal or otherwise. Hours on the phone with the online guys yielded nothing I walked up to the window, gave them the printout, and had the med in minutes, at about half the price of the online (non)sellers. Paid right at the pharmacy, so no line! Excellent place. read more

The attendants are unprofessional. They called me to say that they do not have my prescription as an alibi and said they do not have it on stock. And I assume they said that because they called my around 5pm and pharmacy is closing by 6pm- in short they are trying to avoid me because the store is closing soon. They do not understand urgency of the matter and the importance of attending to their customers. They said I should call the other stores in my area Walgreens, CVS, which I did, but most stores don't carry the specification on my prescription and they'll eventually just transfer it to the other store. I called walmart pharmacy back to inform them that CVS or Walgreens mentioned that they can order it for me and that the prescription will arrive in the next 3 days. And if they can please just order it for me because I will be willing to wait. I was told the same thing, I can check the other stores and get it transferred to them. 5 minutes passed and another pharmacy Walmart San Leandro attendant called me to say that they realized that my prescription doesn't need the specifications that they previously mentioned. And that the prescription is in stock and I can go pick it up tomorrow morning. They gave me a hard time and everyone needs to know the lies they tell people just to avoid extra work that they are paid to do, regardless of wether they are about to close or not. Corporate office needs to hear about this practice and it should be looked into. read more

I was at Walmart store on Davis St in San Leandro late last night July 1st 2024. I did my shopping. Accidently, I left my Apple iPhone on the counter at checkout. I tried to call this morning to see if someone found my phone! I dialed the operator dozens of times finally they picked up the phone but hanged up immediately without saying anything! once, said hello and hanged up. I called human resources who hires their workers! They never bather to answer the phone! This store is a joke is a miss, the parking lot is dark pitch unsafe! Review for STORE not Pharmacy (where the store page is, who know?) First time back since the fire. Walked in and I like that it was very clean and organized. Pretty quite, early in the AM. I give it 3 stars for the reason of the extremely LONG lines. DO NOT GO HERE FOR 1-2 ITEMS. You'll be waiting forever. Even the self-check out only has one person there to help and scan you. Went to the Optometrist department to get some new glasses. I booked a same day appointment at 3:40pm. I was there at 2:30pm. Karen (I hope I remember correctly) did a FANTASTIC job! From 2:30pm until 3:40pm, she was trying to figure out issues with my insurance. That was extremely kind of her... At 3:40pm, I went in & the doctor checked my eyes. He was kind, quick & polite. He suggested I get a check up in my eyes. He added the drops & did what he had too. Once he wrote my prescription, he sent out my way. The receptionist who took my dialysis in between was also extremely kind. She was polite and helpful as well. Once I got my prescription, it was back to Karen. I had my frames & we placed the order. She even helped me find a very cheap substitute for my damaged, broken & worn down glasses. The same exact look but the lenses were just smaller than the frame for only $9! She measured the frames and worked her magic! My old glasses completely broke, when she carefully popped out the lenses. She gasped & said: "they broke..." (she meant the frames). I didn't care, those glasses were finished. She went back to shrink the frames for a better fit and the temporary replacement were a success! She truly went out her way to helped me! Her kindness & smart thinking made all the difference. I need my glasses to see & she helped me get a substitute im the meantime! :-) She did a FANTASTIC job & gave me easy information to help me. My only complaint was the draining wait. I have never spent almost 3 hours in a Wal-Mart before. The service was by no means terrible but the long wait time drained me. read more

This is absolutely the most depressing Walmart ever. Locks on so many products, I never want to come back. My first impression walking in was... how can a space suck the color out of everything. As a black woman I am sensitive the retail apartheid I notice in Walmart stores especially this store #2648. Stores in less diverse area are very different. For example rude and indifferent managers particularly Ebonei. She didn't know how I could return merchandise I bought online as well as who the identity of the regional manager. The store had no bags for your merchandise! Dirty and poorly stocked and merchandised. I use to think this Walmart was the better of the two when the one on hegenberger was still open. Since they've closed this place pretty much continues to go downhill. Now things are locked up, like shampoo, toothbrush, and toothpaste ! This place is always chaotic. Getting help from customer service is like pulling teeth. Thank Goodness I don't need to come here for basic toiletries or laundry detergent because I'd hate to chase down customer service just for that stuff. I only come here if I'm already shopping at Costco and need something here so I don't have to drive across town to go to Target. I used to love coming here, the staff was friendly and helpful. The store was clean and organized. But ever since they closed the Walmart at hegenberger, this Walmart started to go downhill. No costumer service at all. People stealing and no one does anything about it. I complained to one of the managers once and she said "it doesn't matter who you complain to or what you complain about, no one is going to do anything about it. This location as other location I have visited has couple of problems regarding customer service. For example very low to none stock of basic items. Regarding staffing they seem to have a shortage all the time and also the staff have little to none knowledge of many of the different departments in the store. Also management is spread thin and some aren't friendly or good problem solvers. Let's just say it's rare I don't have the problems I just spoke of. I wish yelp had negative star options. The customer service is horrible. With the exception of 3 people that work there, they all act like they're doing us a favor. I have gone there a few times to pick up a prescription for my mother. They don't care if they get ur prescription wrong. They don't care if you have to wait a long time. Pharmacy should give a courtesy chill pills to help people deal with a mass of lack of courtesy and professionalism for the people who work here. I tried calling the line and had to wait over five minutes just for a associate to answer the phone when I asked to speak to the manager they hung up. And hooray for the renovations, but when they change things up without letting people know and the results and people not being able to access their so-called wonderful services it amounts to more of a wall than a Mart. Not to these people seem to care because they know they have 1 million customers lined up behind whatever gets the shit end of the stick. This Walmart is ok, the part that I don't like is that the employees get mistreated by the store supervisors they are screaming across the aisles that it's embarrassing and not professional they also argue with cashiers and make gestures with their ugly faces right in front of customer, this happens around 6 am during the week day, just starting of my day with all these nasty attitudes around me affecting my mood. read more

This is a rating for the store overall which is HORRIBLE... this is the Walmart closest to our house so we are here often... i never expect much customer service when i go to Walmart... i pretty much know what I'm going in for and can navigate the store on my own BUT NOW i have to ask for help every other aisle because all the good stuff is LOCKED UP!... dove body wash, razors and shaving cream, detergent.... i mean dang near everything i go in there for is now behind glass... now i have to hunt down an employee to open up the cages they are locked in... i understand that they are trying to control the theft that happens in the store but it's a bit ridiculous... you would think they would hire more people so that customer service is better and more presence on the floor may be a better move to cut down on the oft and to service those of us who aren't trying to rip them off... i think today was my last time at this location... it was an overall feeling of being unwanted and inconvenienced and that's just not what i want to deal with in Walmart of all places ... i would rather drive far out to another store than to deal with that every time i go shopping... read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. This is THE WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. The employees are RUDE and UNHELPFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL and INSENSITIVE. I was in ALOT of pain and my dr called in a Rx for me. When I called to check the status John said he had to call my dr because my insurance would only cover a 90d supply and my dr had only sent in for 30d supply, NONE of my daily meds have ever needed a 90d supply, the FDA doesn't allow 90d pain med prescriptions, he said he would give me 7 days worth for $9, but would call me back when he heard from my dr, I call 2 hours later and spoke to Lan and she says that Jon called the dr and only requested #90 which is not a 90d supply, so she can sell me that for $30, I told her no that if I'm going to pick up a partial prescription I only want to pay $9 like John told me, she says she can no longer give me 7d worth because now instead of my condition being acute the dr said it is chronic she will only sell me the #90 for $30. She would not budge from that, I am in so much pain I'm in tears and they are making it so completely difficult, they have been so rude huffing and puffing and the tone of voice they used with me is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I am transferring all of my meds to CVS they have been most helpful. read more

For whatever reason,​ she cannot understand me. Can you please connect me to the shoe dept? (she transfers me and it rings and rings). I call back again and ask (for the 2nd time) for "Toy Vault Monty Python Killer Rabbit With Big Pointy Teeth Plush." So you want the toy dept? NOOOO. I want slippers/shoe dept. I am looking for Killer Rabbit Plush slippers. You're looking for a toy bunny? NOOO I want slippers. But you keep saying you want toys. (FACE PALM) Ok, who makes them. Toy Vault. Troy what? No. TOY. T-O-Y. As in what children play with. And a vault, like something you store precious items in. What? TOOYYYYY.
