Usually the staff in the pick-up area are friendly and nice. This past visit when I was picking up an order I encountered a very rude associate. I was surprised she was in a customer facing role. One of the items received had a damaged box, which may have happened in transit. I asked if she could check if there was stock in-store. She dismissed my request saying they don't carry that type of product in store (yes, they do). Clearly, I got the impression she didn't like her job or want to be there to HELP customers like she should. Maybe, she's just lazy?!? I hope I don't have to deal with her ever again. The store opens at 7:00 am, even though the website says 8:00. I know anything I buy is probably the cheapest price I can find, not including sales items. Their Old Roy dog products, biscuits, canned food and treats are very good quality and very reasonably priced. The automotive department is very well stocked; batteries, synthetic oil, cleaners, filters of all kinds. They have a lot of seasonal products, like barbeque stuff in the summer. I have trouble finding shoes that fit, but Walmart has the wide shoes and the 1/2 sizes that I need. They even have Shoe-Goo. Their hot dog buns, ramen and Hebrew National hot dogs are very inexpensive. read more

Walmarts are usually a busy place, which is why I avoid them, however I have to say by far this is the better one I have seen in the Bay Area. There are good Wal Marts and bad ones,this is a bad one. One of the most fundamental rules of mass marketing is having the product available and stocked. This one rarely does either. Clothing is often available in only XXXL or S sizes ,so M or L is out of the question. Stock often is moved from aisle to aisle ,from week to week,which means if it was on aisle 1 on Tuesday,it may be back in the garden section the next Tuesday. Aisles are often barely wide enough to get one shopping cart through,because they see fit to try and use every square inch of floor space and make it near impossible to pass cleanly by another shopper on the main aisles. Makes you wonder why the fire dept doesn't cite them for violations related to blocked escape routes. Aside from the fact that it's a 3rd world haven for folks that I doubt very much have a green card,this is a place that I quit going to as it just so poorly stocked. read more

As I am typing this, I am still on hold (1 hour and 40 minutes). I had one simple question, do you have gym EVA foam floor mats in store. I was transferred from customer service to electronics, to lingerie , back to electronics, to sporting goods, to electronics, to customer service, to manager, to being on hold. So total phone time right now is 2 hours and 30 minutes. By the time I got to customer service again, I started to get mad. The manager apologized and said she will find the answer for me in a moment. 1 hour and 40 minutes later here I am. I called again through another phone and they picked up immediately. I then asked for the manager and asked her what's the deal. She then puts me on hold again without giving her name. I would Yelp harder on this Walmart but it already has 2 stars. Seriously please do something about this, there has so many Walmart customers who have gone through this. (still on hold) I am positive they will not be picking up my call. This visit was a debacle! No one in the store could find a key for the bicycle products in a locked case. It took 30 minutes, two visits to Customer Service as well as several collars of passing associates to finally find someone with a key. It was like a bad Three Stooges routine! Wow , first of all I can't say I really expect much from walmart employees... but I really think it takes so much more energy to have a bad attitude than to be decent. This is the closest walmart to me and everytime I go here the employees are beyond rude ... for nooo reason. Dont even bother asking for help. Also , this last time I was with my sister who's in a wheelchair and the lady closed her register right when we were about to be rung up. When we asked her, she gave us attitude and said "well i announced I was closing, sorry I can't help you" ... this place is just horrible and the reason I'm writing this review is because a few minutes ago I needed something last minute and online it said they had it in stock. I decided to call and ask if they had it in stick before driving 25 minutes and instead of checking she told me she couldn't leave her desk to go check because she's the only one there . Unbelievable. Walmart really needs to get this store in check. This is the only walmart near me and I really would rather not shop here because of how badly the employees treat the customers. Workers can't speak English and don't know the first thing about helping people even though it's their job. Employees don't know where anything is in the store and most of the time don't know what the item your asking about is, because they can't speak English. Items never have the correct prices on them and constantly leads to having to wait in a return line because someone can't do their job and price things correctly. Horrible service. read more

I will NEVER shop there again nor will my friends after this experience! I shop there all the time and even after President Obama was there (of course they made the store look good) I have never had such neglect and been treated so rudely! I waited with a backup of customers for over a half an hour and 9 sales associates trying to get someone in the fabric and notions area. We even asked to speak to a store manager! Finally after being ignored basically a very nice associate came and apologized. I proceeded to go to the check out for a speedy departure. I went there with my kids. It was very hard to keep them in control. There was a jeep for kids that my son really liked. Since they had to get it from the back I asked one of the employee who works there to help me. He said he's not in charge for that department but he can surely call someone for help. I thought it might be 5 mins Max to someone come help me. After 15mins same guy came across at made this shocking face and asked me if I was still waiting for a help. I said yes. He said he'll get someone less than 2 mins. I was like ok since my son liked this jeep so much. 30 mins waiting there finally this rude employee comes and said they were busy doing something. The employees here are rude my boyfriend and i went shopping and we were outside waiting for out neighbor who is Handicapped to help her get out of her lyft and in a cart i was helping her why he watched the cart he turned his back for a quick second and somebody stole something out of our cart in the front right under a camera so my boyfriend went inside to ask them if they could look on the camera so he went to self check out to ask the lady working there if she could call a manager she said sorry go to customer service so we did another employee should us the 2 manager's that were working there we went up to one of them in a yellow vest we explained to her what happend and she was gonna just refund us but as she was gonna refund us the lady in a blue vest who was the "manager" told her no we can't do that and to call the manager in charge he took 7 mins to get to us then the lady in the blue vest took him in the back said something to him then we told him about it and he said well sorry that happend but we can not do anything about it you would need to call the police and make a report then they can come look at the cameras all they want and he said i can ring another up for you and he did and we wasted more money to but another one i think this is bull crap cause the outside where the doors are is still their property it this happen in the parking lot then it would make more sence read more

I like the physical store most of the time, but I have had a pretty difficult experience with their over-the-phone customer service. My boyfriend ordered a bike online and wanted to speak to the bicycle department to see if they could assemble the bike before pick up. In the past week he has called Walmart over 15 times. Sometimes the phone just rings forever and no one picks up. At other times he gets the operator, who will listen for 2 seconds and transfer him to the bicycle department, which apparently is never staffed because no one ever picks up the phone. After the phone rings for about 5 minutes, he gets transferred back to the operator. When he tries to explain that he can't reach anyone in the bicycle department, they will immediately transfer him again without listening to the rest of his sentence. It's like a never-ending cycle of being transferred back and forth again and never being able to actually speak to anyone. In the end we had to physically drive to Walmart just so we could speak with someone, and even then we weren't able to talk to anyone from the bicycle department specifically - only a customer service agent. read more

If there was a negative star I would put it so I was shopping in yesterday which is the date of May 9, 2019 I was looking for a face wash and I am not racist by any means I then saw a African-American Walmart staff who then asked are you going to get something from behind the glass With an attitude sort of there was also a white customer beside me who wanted to get the same face wash as me she then grabbed the face wash for the white customer and gave it to her when I have been shopping here for almost over 18 years and I know that they are not supposed to give you the product you are supposed to pay the product next to the make up department she let you he customer go and as soon as she got my products out of the glass she put them in her pocket with an attitude there was another customer I don't know her race but she look like she was Indian and was getting a face wash as well she grabbed her product and even put the products inside her shopping cart and said have a good day!! She then grabbed my products slammed the on the cashier table next to the make up department! I then asked her politely what was the difference between me and the other customers as As to why she let them go with their products and I have to pay for my product at the table as if I was going to steal them with my mother there her response was "they're going to pay for it" with an attitude that was not OK she was discriminating me because I was Mexican and not only she discriminate me personally but she discriminated me with other customers around me she didn't even bother to apologize and walked away with a smirk on her face I don't know if she's been treating Hispanics like that and thinking that it's OK but is not OK and I hope management does something about this because I am not only going to review this on Yelp but I'm going to send a personal handwritten letter to the Walmart company she thought it was right with with what she was saying! The deals Walmart had during this Black Friday were excellent. I spent several hours comparing prices and offers to the ones other stores had and Walmart was the best option. Not only that, the one hour guaranteed offers made the most coveted items available to anyone -- no going home empty-handed this time. I got there at 530 pm and by 7 pm I was already done buying the electronics I wanted. Even though I could not take home all the items I bought I could still get a voucher along with the promise to get them delivered before Christmas. I tried to buy a gift card at this walmart. The cashier was having trouble adding money onto it because her scanner wouldn't read it. She kept telling me "it don't work" so I kept asking for another card. She kept looking around saying she didn't know where one was! I was so very sad to see two fish tanks with multiple dead fish! It was truly awful. If you're going to sell pets, at least take the best care of them that you can. Removing the deceased fish is a good sanitary place to start. Sad day. Also, their plant section was quite barren. I have recently moved to the peninsula area. Checking out all the high prices at the other stores for items I have continually done a good load of my shopping overthe years at Walmart. The prices are so much higher at the other stores that I will not mention on this review. It is a shame in this area there is only one Walmart available. This store is pretty average for a Wal*Mart. Obviously it ain't Saks Fifth Avenue. Pro tip: this store has the little blue shopping baskets, but they are located on the EXIT side of the self checkout stands so you won't see them when entering. As always, if you can avoid going there on weekends, please do so. Pros: - There are lots of self-checkout stations, and the lines there are surprisingly short. - Reasonable selection of groceries in addition to general merchandise. - Convenient location near everything; walking distance from nearby residential areas and lots of other stores. - Better stocked than the Target across the street. Cons: - Aisles are too narrow; you will be constantly blocked and/or bumped into. - Unsupervised children running around all over the place, inside and out. Before I started shopping here I never understood the popularity of child leashes, but now I do. - Ringing up a 10c paper shopping bag at self-checkout needs cashier assistance; what is so hard about printing a barcode on it? - Closes unusually early (10pm). - In-store McDonalds.
